Richard Kingsmill (born 29 January 1964) is an Australian radio announcer, music journalist and currently triple j's Music Director.

His career at triple j started in 1988 as a producer for station presenters George Wayne, Tracee Hutchison and Tim Ritchie. In 1990, new management at the station forced Kingsmill and many others to re-apply for their jobs. Kingsmill failed to regain his producer position, but landed a presenter position instead.

Since then, he has hosted shows that involve an in-depth knowledge of the current state of the alternative music scene, at both a local and international level. These shows have included The J-Files (1995–2003) and the Australian Music Show (1993–2003).

In 1994, he began hosting triple j's New Releases show. Two years later, this evolved into 1996, a show dedicated to the latest release music from around the world. (The show has changed its name each year, to reflect the current year.) His 2010 show was voted Best Radio Show Of The Year by SPA (Street Press Australia) readers nationwide.

Eugene Michael McGuinness (born August 1985 in Leytonstone, London) is a British singer-songwriter and frontman of Eugene + the Lizards. He is currently living in London and is of Irish heritage.

McGuinness's first release, The Early Learnings of Eugene McGuinness, was released on 6 August 2007, on Domino Records' sublabel Double Six Records. Although the extended play was less than half an hour long, it received praise from critics. BBC reviewer Chris White called it "brimful with ideas" and stated that McGuinness' voice on the record "soars euphorically and coos playfully with equal aplomb".Drowned in Sound gave the EP a rating of 9/10, saying "McGuinness has a way with words that's quite remarkable". However, despite gaining the backing of its critics, it failed to chart in the United Kingdom.

Following the good response of Learnings, he went on to release his eponymous debut album, Eugene McGuinness, on the Domino label on 13 October 2008. Unlike the last release, Eugene McGuinness is a full-length album with 12 tracks. The album received generally positive reviews from critics. Drowned in Sound labelled it "a bold and confident piece of brilliance, equally off kilter as it is tenderly raw". The BBC said that the album "runs the formative gamut of angsty, carefree, happy-sad, hormone-fuelled, late-teens emotions with a solipsistic disregard for any feelings but his own". NME gave the album 8 out of 10, and The Times named it their album of the week. Meanwhile an Observer journalist called the album "busily eclectic but... can make no great claims to originality". Allmusic gave it 4 out of 5 stars, saying that "the arrival of Eugene McGuinness a true cause for celebration".

Damon Albarn (/ˈdeɪmən ˈælbɑrn/; born 23 March 1968) is an English musician, singer-songwriter and record producer who has been involved in many high profile projects, coming to prominence as the frontman and primary songwriter of the Britpop band Blur. Albarn's current role is lead vocalist and songwriter of Gorillaz, whose first two studio albums had sold more than 20 million copies combined by 2007. Albarn has also led projects such as The Good, the Bad & the Queen, Monkey: Journey to the West, Mali Music and Rocket Juice & the Moon. Albarn has released multiple singles and albums which have charted at number one, both in the UK and internationally.

Albarn was voted the fourth greatest frontman of all time in a 2010 UK Poll for Q Music magazine.

Albarn was born in Whitechapel, London in 1968, and grew up with his middle-class, Quaker family in Leytonstone, later moving to Colchester. He attended the George Tomlinson Primary School, and studied piano and violin. When he was 9 years old he moved for three months to Turkey, with his parents. When he was aged 12, he became friends with Graham Coxon, a fellow pupil at Stanway School.

Sarah McLeod (born 18 July 1971) is a New Zealand movie and television series actress. Her most notable role was in the Peter Jackson movies The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King as Rosie Cotton, a female hobbit who married Samwise Gamgee. Her daughter Maisy played Rosie and Sam's baby.

Mike Chapman (born Michael Donald Chapman, 15 April 1947, Nambour, Queensland, Australia) is an Australian born record producer and songwriter who was a major force in the British pop music industry in the 1970s. He created a string of hit singles for artists including Sweet, Suzi Quatro, Smokie, Mud and Racey with co-writer and co-producer Nicky Chinn, creating a formularised sound that became identified with the "Chinnichap" brand. He later produced breakthrough albums for Blondie and The Knack.

Chapman was born in Queensland, Australia, but moved to Britain where he became a member of the group Tangerine Peel. They released an album in 1969 and had several near-hit singles between 1967 and 1970. In 1970 met Nicky Chinn while working as a waiter at a London nightclub, Tramp. The pair struck up a song-writing partnership, and began working with high-profile producer Mickie Most on his RAK Records label, which quickly became home to a roster of artists including Suzi Quatro, Smokie, and Mud.
