Chef Noel cooks up treat to inspire SuperValu customers

SuperValu has cooked up some extra help to inspire household meals in Northern Ireland, by appointing Noel McMeel at its ambassador chef.

Mr McMeel is executive head chef at the Lough Erne resort in Enniskillen and is regarded as one of the region's top chefs.

He will be promoting top produce to SuperValu customers in a series of 35 cookery demonstrations in events showcasing over 60 food and drink producers from across Northern Ireland.

Michael McCormack, Musgrave NI's managing director, which operates the SuperValu brand, described the chef as "a passionate ambassador for local produce".

SuperValu is also carrying out a major upgrade programme across its 35 independently owned stores.

Two thirds of everything sold in its stores is produced or sourced in Northern Ireland.
