The little SCCY CPX -2 is getting a fair amount of attention, and I've received a large number of requests to check it out. The verdict is still not in for me, but this video outlines my experience with it thus far. This is a locked breech gun and I am honestly surprised it kept going despite everything we did to it. I wanted to make a good video of this gun because I love the SCCY 9mm. I went out to the range and the review got cut short because the gun broke. Hopefully this gun will get fixed and we can do a good review.

SCCY's double action trigger. Since a lot of gun shops wont let you dry fire before you buy, this is what you need to know about this pistol. All in all it's not a bad little pistol for the money you just have to train with it and know its limitations. In my personal opinion, the trigger could be improved.

I had a chance to shoot the SCCY CPX 9mm pistols recently. They're neat pocket sized double stack magazine pistols that show a lot of promise. You certainly can't beat the price and the quality appears to be better than Kel-Tec, at least from what I was able to see in my brief time with it. I look forward to getting my hands on one for a more in-depth review.

Shooting (And Finally Breaking) the SCCY CPX-2
Expand for a full description. So, I got a lot of messages after I did my first SCCY video asking me to make a video of the gun being fired. Here's that video, with an extra goody: We broke the gun. Not surprising in the least, considering the amount of abuse I subjected it to. I did things to that gun that no reasonable person ever would, and it eventually did what all abused machines do, which is break. Thankfully, nobody was hurt when the gun broke. Make no mistake, this gun breaking doesn't mean that SCCY produces a bad product. SCCY CPX2 Range Review: Trigger Fixed!
This is a range review of the SCCY CPX2. It was not all smooth sailing with this pistol as it was sent back to the factory twice with trigger issues. However, the customer service was top notch. The CPX2 is working fine now and is worth considering at such a low price $251.21. It holds a total of 11 rounds and has an empty weight with magazine of 17.1 ounces. In this video we will be doing a rather informal torture test on the Sccy Cpx-2 pistol. I think one thing it certainly teaches us is that many guns are overbuilt with a high degree of safety and human error factored in. This is a locked breech gun and I am honestly surprised it kept going despite everything we did to it. You certainly can't beat the price and the quality appears to be better than Kel-Tec, at least from what I was able to see in my brief time with it. I look forward to getting my hands on one for a more in-depth review.

So, I got a lot of messages after I did my first SCCY video asking me to make a video of the gun being fired.
Here's that video, with an extra goody:
We broke the gun.
Not surprising in the least, considering the amount of abuse I subjected it to. I did things to that gun that no reasonable person ever would, and it eventually did what all abused machines do, which is break.
Thankfully, nobody was hurt when the gun broke.
Make no mistake, this gun breaking doesn't mean that SCCY produces a bad product. On the contrary, I believe that it lasting as long as it did shows what a good product it is, and only bolsters the opinion I gave in my first SCCY video, which is that you're getting a lot of gun for your money.
And I can GUARANTEE that some of my high end, tricked-out 1911's wouldn't have functioned for as long as the SCCY did if I abused them the same way.
