Plot: Love means to love that which is unlovable; otherwise it is no virtue at all. Vedran, an outlaw, reunites with his estranged children, establishes a relationship with them and strives to make the most of his second chance. Natasa is the producer of a successful television series. Although she is pregnant, her relationship with the child's father is completely falling apart. Unresolved conflicts from the past begin to surface and she must confront them. Ives, a television director, finds it increasingly difficult to cope with her father's progressive dementia. She yearns to cut all ties with the reclusive life she leads, revolving only around her job and caring for her father.

Plot: Horace, a 8 years old boy, who still believes in Santa Clause, received as a Christmas gift a day at the mall. What ought to be a normal Christmas day turns into an adventure when Horace loses his mother. He mets John, a pickpocket disguised as Santa Clause, who was in the middle of an illegal operation. Unlike the Santas on TV, John doesn't seem to like children. Althought, the boy is convinced that this is the real Santa Clause and tail of it, causing all sorts of trouble as dangerous, as funny. Finally John finds the magic of Christmas and Horace discovers that miracles indeed, occur.

Plot: In around 800 AD, two men divide up the world: the Emperor Charlemagne in the West and, ruling from Baghdad, the Caliph Rachid Pacha in the East. The Caliph sends to Charlemagne an ambassador who brings with him an elephant as a gift. Considering the animal to be a symbol of force, and thus a threat, Charlemagne decides to respond by sending emissaries back to the Caliph. The Emperor entrusts his imperial cross, encrusted with an enormous ruby, to a monk, a man of letters little inclined to action, father Seraphim. In this way, Charlemagne aims to display his force and wealth to Rachid Pacha and, in so doing, to maintain the balance of power between the two empires. At the end of a long voyage, Charlemagne's emissaries, accompanied by the Caliph's ambassadors, make a final halt in an oasis where they are killed by a gang of thieves. Charlemagne's cross is stolen but Father Seraphim is miraculously spared by the thieves as is young Morgiane, the magician Al Miradjan's daughter. This young woman will be bought at a slave market by Cassim, Ali Baba's greedy and vain brother. The 40 thieves are in fact under the orders of the great vizier, or minister, Yaya, and of Caliph's repudiated wife, Zubayda, who have secretly organized the massacre of the ambassadors in the hopes of sparking a diplomatic crisis and forcing Rachid Pacha to declare war on Charlemagne. With Rachid Pacha gone off to fight, Zubayda could take over the power. Discovering the treasure in the cave, Ali Baba cannot resist the temptation of grabbing Charlemagne's cross. His fateful encounter with History is sealed. From that point on, Ali Baba will struggle with a host of problems : how to keep his discovery secret, how to escape the wrathful vengeance of Malik, the leader of the thieves, how to settle the arrangements for the marriage of his oldest son, Slimane, who, in the meantime, has fallen in love with the beautiful Morgiane, and no longer wants to marry his father's choice, and, finally, how to get his wife to live in peace with his sister-in-law, Ouria who has been widowed when the 40 thieves caught her husband, Cassim, in their cave and cut him up in little pieces. The plot thickens even more for Ali Baba when he invites Father Seraphim into his home and learns the reasons for the monk's coming to Baghdad. The West must combine forces with the East in order to foil the plans of the infamous Yaya and of the terrifying Zubayda, to save the beautiful Morgiane who has been kidnapped by the Vizier and to reach the unapproachable Caliph and reveal the villainous plot to him and give him back Charlemagne's cross. World peace depends on their success.

Plot: Gypsy Heart is a story about love and passion, dreams and restrictions, ambition and failure. Codrut a young Gypsy man with ambitions to become a doctor and integrate the Romanian community, has to obey the traditions of his ethnic group. But he falls in love with Irina (Andreea Patrascu), a very rich and spoiled Romanian girl, whose father dreams of marrying her to a successful businessman. Since Codrut was promised by his father to a Gypsy girl and Irina is supposed to marry Luca, the man her father chose for her, their love seems impossible. So they have to fight everyone in order to be together. Gypsy Heart sheds light on the bohemian, traditional and romantic side of the Gypsy minority.

Plot: This is one of the best examples of the aesthetic of real-life drama in Bulgarian feature films. A road-building team is forced to stay idle a couple of days since asphalt has not been delivered. Provided they are willing, the members of the team can help clean the dusty square in a near-by village, but the boys are openly hostile to the idea of their team leader. The old man, nicknamed The American, the best person in the group, decides to do the job himself. Gradually, all the rest, for various personal reasons, join in the work. Through a sequence of small everyday happenings revealed with a fine sense of the flow of life, the individual characters arrive at the idea that one's personal qualities exist only in the eyes of other, and that one's genuine values are shown in collective work.
