Commenting Policy Overview

This is a feminist blog. It discusses feminism from the point of view that the value of the liberation of women from patriarchal oppression is not itself a matter of debate. In order to be considered suitable for posting here, your remarks must proceed from within a framework of radical feminist theory. This means you must be an advanced blamer. An advanced blamer is characterized by two equally important attributes.

1. She has a thorough grasp of radical feminist theory.
2. Her comments are excellent.

Excellent commentary is characterized by two equally important attributes.

1. Appropriate use of the shift key
2. The reflection of an understanding of the Comments Guidelines
3. Math skills

I Blame the Patriarchy is curated with a single purpose, that of enbiggening feminist discourse on the Internet. Its other single purpose is to entertain me. This blog is not a democracy. Owing to the unique considerations inherent in maintaining a feminist presence on an Internet that is afflicted with an overwhelmingly antifeminist zeitgeist, and owing also to my own preference for x-treme philosophic value and/or comedy in discourse, there has emerged, over these many years, an arcane and convolute set of blaming protocols to which I expect commenters to adhere. Because the guidelines are all codified here, and because by pressing the “blame” button commenters assert that they have read these guidelines and agree to conform, there should be no misunderstandings.

Rather than editing comments for style or clarity, which requires work, I merely delete offending examples.

If it appears that I am oppressing the blametariat by imperiously subjecting them to the constraints presented herein, the impression is specious. Commenters are always invited to express themselves according to whatever whim or ideology they wish. Just not on this blog.

Read the truly breathtaking Guidelines for Commenters here.
