Jake Gosling has been nominated for this year’s 58th Annual Grammy Awards for ‘Record of The Year’ with ‘Thinking Out Loud’. He has also won the Brit Award for ‘Album of the Year’ in 2015 with Ed Sheeran’s ‘X’. Gosling has been nominated twice at the Brit Awards for ‘Producer of the Year’. He was nominated at the 2015 Grammy Awards for 'Best Album' with Ed Sheeran's 'X'.
He is also a multi platinum selling music producer, songwriter, remixer, manager, and publisher best known for his work with artists such as Ed Sheeran, The Libertines, James Bay, All Time Low, One Direction, Christina Perri, Paloma Faith, and Wiley. He received the ASCAP award 2014 as a writer for hit song "Lego House" and was named Music Week's Producer of 2012 after work on Ed Sheeran's album +, as well as being the predominant producer on x (Multiply), Paloma Faith's Fall to Grace, and One Direction's Up All Night and Take Me Home, in which he produced Number 1 UK and worldwide hit single "Little Things". Gosling has remixed under the pseudonym Sketch Iz Dead for Lady Gaga, Timbaland & Nelly Furtado, Keane (band), Keri Hilson, and Far East Movement. Gosling runs his own recording studio Sticky Studios in Surrey. Gosling and Sarah Liversedge run a joint venture publishing company called "The Movement London Limited". Gosling is signed as a songwriter to BDi Music Limited and is a full member of the Music Producers Guild.
George Edward Shilling (born 1966 in Redbridge, Essex) is an English musician, record producer, composer and audio engineer. He is the son of Eric Shilling, formerly of the English National Opera and actress Erica Johns. He studied 'cello at the Royal College of Music and is best known as an audio engineer, a skill he was taught by Jerry Boys of Abbey Road and Livingston Recording Studios in London.
Shilling has worked with a diverse range of musical genres including artists such as Gabrielle, New Radicals, The Corrs, Blur, Texas, Teenage Fanclub, Primal Scream, Nicole Appleton, Johnny HallydayOasis, Mike Oldfield, Eternal, Boy George, James Brown, Mark Almond, Bernard Butler, The Fall, Steve Winwood and the popular light opera duo Operababes.
His first notable success was engineering the hit single The Only Way Is Up (1988) by Yazz and the Plastic Population and released by Big Life. His credits as Record producer include the Soup Dragons's album Lovegod which included their cover of the Rolling Stones hit I'm Free and the most accomplished of the three albums My Life Story, The Golden Mile. He wrote a significant amount of songs and also recorded tracks for the English down-tempo band Sundae Club. He co-wrote "London Fantasy" for the French singer Nolwenn Leroy on her album Histoires Naturelles (2005), which was produced by Laurent Voulzy. In 2009 and 2010 he hosted sessions with Ocean Colour Scene at his studio in the Cotswolds. and played cello on their album Saturday. In 2010 he also recorded and mixed Classical Relief For Haiti's single The Prayer, featuring a host of classical crossover artistes including Darius Campbell, Rhydian, Paul Potts and Julian Lloyd Webber.
Edward Christopher "Ed" Sheeran (born 17 February 1991) is an English singer-songwriter and musician. He was born in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire and raised in Framlingham, Suffolk. After dropping out of school at 16, he moved to London the following year, in 2008, to pursue a career in music. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play, No. 5 Collaborations Project, which caught the attention of Elton John and Jamie Foxx. After signing with Asylum Records, his debut album, + (read as "plus"), was released on 9 September 2011 and has since been certified six-times platinum in the UK. The album contains the single "The A Team", which earned him the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.
Sheeran's popularity abroad began in 2012. In the US, he made a guest appearance on Taylor Swift's fourth studio album, Red. "The A Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John. He spent much of 2013 opening for Swift's The Red Tour in North America dates. In late 2013, he performed three sold-out shows at New York's Madison Square Garden as a headline act. He was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2014 Grammy Awards.
Ángelo Jasiel Balanta (born 1 July 1990) is a Colombian professional footballer. He plays as a left winger or striker for League 2 side Carlisle United.
Born in Cali, Colombia, Balanta moved to England when he was 5 and grew up in Fulham as a youth where he attended Hurlingham & Chelsea Secondary school. he then attended south thames college for a year, completing a construction course.Balanta progressed through the Queens Park Rangers' youth system before being promoted to the first team in 2007. He was spotted by QPR scouts playing for CB Hounslow United who play in The Combined County Football Division. He signed his first professional contract with QPR in January 2008, which will keep him at the club until 2010 and was given shirt number 36.
He made his first team debut when we was brought on as a substitute, replacing Ben Sahar, against Crystal Palace on 4 December 2007. He made his first start against Watford on 29 December 2007. In the 10th minute of the game, Balanta put Dexter Blackstock through with a looping ball which resulted in him being fouled and a penalty kick being given, which was scored by Martin Rowlands. In the 40th minute, Balanta won an aerial challenge against Lloyd Doyley and found unmarked Martin Rowlands with a lob. Rowlands scored with a chip over Richard Lee from an acute angle. Balanta is highly rated at QPR and is the latest talent to break through the youth set up at Loftus Road. On 5 January 2008, he made his FA Cup debut against Chelsea, coming on as a 65th-minute substitute for new signing Hogan Ephraim. On 23 February 2008, Balanta scored his first senior goal for QPR against Sheffield United at Loftus Road. The goal came in the 19th minute when Hogan Ephraim whipped in a cross into the near post where Balanta latched onto the ball. Rangers drew the game 1–1.
