Networking and networking may refer to:
Learning is the act of acquiring new, or modifying and reinforcing, existing knowledge, behaviors, skills, values, or preferences and may involve synthesizing different types of information. The ability to learn is possessed by humans, animals, plants and some machines. Progress over time tends to follow a learning curve. It does not happen all at once, but builds upon and is shaped by previous knowledge. To that end, learning may be viewed as a process, rather than a collection of factual and procedural knowledge. Learning produces changes in the organism and the changes produced are relatively permanent.
Human learning may occur as part of education, personal development, schooling, or training. It may be goal-oriented and may be aided by motivation. The study of how learning occurs is part of educational psychology, neuropsychology, learning theory, and pedagogy. Learning may occur as a result of habituation or classical conditioning, seen in many animal species, or as a result of more complex activities such as play, seen only in relatively intelligent animals. Learning may occur consciously or without conscious awareness. Learning that an aversive event can't be avoided nor escaped is called learned helplessness. There is evidence for human behavioral learning prenatally, in which habituation has been observed as early as 32 weeks into gestation, indicating that the central nervous system is sufficiently developed and primed for learning and memory to occur very early on in development.
Linux (pronounced i/ˈlɪnəks/ LIN-əks or, less frequently, /ˈlaɪnəks/ LYN-əks) is a Unix-like and mostly POSIX-compliant computer operating system (OS) assembled under the model of free and open-source software development and distribution. The defining component of Linux is the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on 5 October 1991 by Linus Torvalds. The Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to describe the operating system, which has led to some controversy.
Linux was originally developed as a free operating system for personal computers based on the Intel x86 architecture, but has since been ported to more computer hardware platforms than any other operating system. Thanks to its dominance on smartphones, Android, which is built on top of the Linux kernel, has the largest installed base of all general-purpose operating systems. Linux, in its original form, is also the leading operating system on servers and other big iron systems such as mainframe computers and virtually all fastest supercomputers, but is used on only around 1.6% of desktop computers with Linux-based Chrome OS taking about 5% of the overall and nearly 20% of the sub-$300 notebook sales. Linux also runs on embedded systems, which are devices whose operating system is typically built into the firmware and is highly tailored to the system; this includes smartphones and tablet computers running Android and other Linux derivatives,TiVo and similar DVR devices, network routers, facility automation controls, televisions, video game consoles, and smartwatches.
In machine learning and cognitive science, artificial neural networks (ANNs) are a family of models inspired by biological neural networks (the central nervous systems of animals, in particular the brain) and are used to estimate or approximate functions that can depend on a large number of inputs and are generally unknown. Artificial neural networks are generally presented as systems of interconnected "neurons" which exchange messages between each other. The connections have numeric weights that can be tuned based on experience, making neural nets adaptive to inputs and capable of learning.
For example, a neural network for handwriting recognition is defined by a set of input neurons which may be activated by the pixels of an input image. After being weighted and transformed by a function (determined by the network's designer), the activations of these neurons are then passed on to other neurons. This process is repeated until finally, an output neuron is activated. This determines which character was read.

Should I learn programming or networking? Programming has the benefit of being a higher paid position when you have the skills they want or need. Does networking pay well? You don't need a four year degree in computer science to develop networking skills. It is often an associate's degree or even a one year internship. And pay rates tend to correlate to your certification level. Which one is harder to learn? A lot of people can teach themselves programming. Networking is harder. Only because it is so hands-on. On the other hand, networking can't be outsourced to a code monkey in India or China. The guy might be from those nations, but he has to be here to install those new server blades. Which career do you think is harder? Programmers have to stay up to date with changes to the l...

Cramming for a test and having a hard time understanding something? Might be best to go away and come back after a while. Your brain is constantly fluctuating between a "learning" mode and an "understanding" mode. When you're sitting there reading (and re-reading!) a textbook, unable to make sense of it, your brain is actually learning. It just takes the decompressing part of your brain for it to all be unpacked. It's called the neural chunk theory and you can learn to utilize it to your advantage by learning how to study differently; small bursts of inactivity and breaks can really make a big difference in how to memorize seemingly difficult information by combining bigger and bigger "chunks" of information until you understand the big picture. It's fascinating stuff. Read more at BigThi...

By popular demand, I threw my own voice into a neural network (3 times) and got it to recreate what it had learned along the way! This is 3 different recurrent neural networks (LSTM type) trying to find patterns in raw audio and reproduce them as well as they can. The networks are quite small considering the complexity of the data. I recorded 3 different vocal sessions as training data for the network, trying to get more impressive results out of the network each time. The audio is 8-bit and a low sample rate because sound files get very big very quickly, making the training of the network take a very long time. Well over 300 hours of training in total went into the experiments with my voice that led to this video. The graphs are created from log files made during training, and show the...

http://EffortlessEnglishClub.com/show Speak English like a native by learning with movies. Movies can teach you to speak real English naturally. However, to learn with movies you must use the correct technique. Many teachers and students try to learn by simply watching movies and TV shows. Just watching movies is ineffective because you won't understand most of what you hear and you will not learn deeply. The Effortless English movie technique, as described in AJ's book, is a powerful method for completely mastering the vocabulary, phrases, grammar, and pronunciation you hear in movies. Using this method, you study and practice each scene of a movie-- learning it deeply before moving on to the next scene. The goal of the movie technique is to learn deeply, so you never forget wha...

A friendly introduction to neural networks and deep learning. This is a follow up to the Introduction to Machine Learning video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpGxLWOIZy4 Note: In this tutorial I use natural logarithms. If you used logarithms base 10, you may get different answers that I got, although at the end it doesn't matter, since using a different base for the logarithm just scales all the logarithms by a constant.
