Plan now for a getaway to Oregon’s Wine Country. With 158 wineries opening their doors to the public, Memorial Weekend in the Wine Country captures the rich wine-growing culture of Oregon’s beautiful Willamette Valley.
A 26-year-old tradition, the holiday weekend features special wine tastings, accompanying foods and an assortment of arts and educational activities. Taking place May 28-30th, 2016, the weekend promises to be full of activities in the winery, vineyard and beyond.
You’ll have a chance to visit some of the region’s smallest producers that are rarely open to the public. Also with a handful of new producers participating every year, you’re bound to discover a new favorite winery.
In addition to live music, small bites and barrel tastings, select wineries will feature new releases, outdoor recreation and seated tastings. Lunch on BBQ, hike through a vineyard or partake in some salsa dancing.
From Eugene to Portland, prominent Pinot noir to lesser-known Pinot blanc, the weekend promises to be as diverse in taste as Oregon’s picturesque landscape. So get out and discover something new in Oregon’s Wine Country.
