Confidence is generally described as a state of being certain either that a hypothesis or prediction is correct or that a chosen course of action is the best or most effective. Self-confidence is having confidence in oneself. Arrogance or hubris in this comparison is having unmerited confidence—believing something or someone is capable or correct when they are not. Overconfidence or presumptuousness is excessive belief in someone (or something) succeeding, without any regard for failure. Confidence can be a self-fulfilling prophecy as those without it may fail or not try because they lack it and those with it may succeed because they have it rather than because of an innate ability. Taken to an extreme, over-confidence can cause problems as evidenced by the famous author Matthew Syed and mentioned here in this reference in regard to sport.
Self-confidence does not necessarily imply "self-belief" or a belief in one's ability to succeed. For instance, one may be inept at a particular sport or activity, but remain "confident" in one's demeanor, simply because one does not place a great deal of emphasis on the outcome of the activity. When one does not dwell on negative consequences one can be more "self-confident" because one is worrying far less about failure or the disapproval of others following potential failure. One is then more likely to focus on the actual situation which means that enjoyment and success in that situation is also more probable. Belief in one's abilities to perform an activity comes through successful experience and may add to, or consolidate, a general sense of self-confidence. Studies have also found a link between high levels of confidence and wages. Seemingly, those who self-report they were confident earlier in schooling earned better wages and were promoted more quickly over the life course.
In statistics, a confidence interval (CI) is a type of interval estimate of a population parameter. It is an observed interval (i.e., it is calculated from the observations), in principle different from sample to sample, that frequently includes the value of an unobservable parameter of interest if the experiment is repeated. How frequently the observed interval contains the parameter is determined by the confidence level or confidence coefficient. More specifically, the meaning of the term "confidence level" is that, if CI are constructed across many separate data analyses of replicated (and possibly different) experiments, the proportion of such intervals that contain the true value of the parameter will match the given confidence level. Whereas two-sided confidence limits form a confidence interval, their one-sided counterparts are referred to as lower or upper confidence bounds.
Confidence is a 2003 crime drama film starring Edward Burns, Dustin Hoffman, Andy Garcia and Rachel Weisz, directed by James Foley, and written by Doug Jung.
A group of grifters rip off their latest mark and celebrate, while de facto leader of the group Jake Vig (Edward Burns) explains the art of the con. When one of the four (Louis Lombardi) is found shot to death, the other three learn that the latest money they stole actually belonged to a local L.A. crime lord called The King (Dustin Hoffman). Jake proposes that the grifters work for the King and steal money from Morgan Price (Robert Forster), a rival who owns a bank.
Jake enlists the aid of his remaining partners, Gordo (Paul Giamatti) and Miles (Brian Van Holt), and also convinces an independent con artist named Lily (Rachel Weisz) to round out their foursome. The King, a ruthless killer who suffers from ADHD, demands that one of his men, Lupus (Franky G), also come along.
The con involves bribing a bank vice president into wiring money offshore. The plan hits a snag when Special Agent Gunther Butan (Andy García) shows up in L.A., looking to finally bust Jake, whom he has followed for years. Butan forces corrupt LAPD detectives Omar Manzano (Luis Guzmán) and Lloyd Whitworth (Donal Logue) to switch their allegiance from Jake to him.
Flockaveli is the debut studio album by American rapper Waka Flocka Flame; it was released on October 5, 2010, by 1017 Brick Squad Records, Warner Bros. Records, and Asylum Records. The album is titled after the Italian political theorist Machiavelli, and was inspired by American rapper Tupac Shakur, whose final stage name and pseudonym before his death was Makaveli. It was recorded at Next Level Studios in Houston, Nightbird Studios in Los Angeles, and S-Line Ent. in Atlanta.
Upon its release, Flockaveli received generally positive reviews from music critics, who complimented its musical intensity, brazen lyrics, and gangsta rap ethos. It debuted at number six on the Billboard 200, with first-week sales of 37,000 copies, and, as of August 15, 2011, has sold 285,000 copies in the United States.
Flockaveli is a crunk album. It was primarily produced by Lex Luger, whose bombastic, grimly-programmed production incorporates drill 'n' bass 808 trills, bass kicks, hand claps, confrontational beats, dense synthesizers, and shifting sub-bass layers. Waka Flocka Flame's unrefined street raps feature constant ad libs. According to Pitchfork Media's David Drake, the songs reduce gangsta rap to its archetypical themes: "hypermasculine children of the drug trade, reckless fatalism, intensity, and physicality ... Waka's aggression is the survivalist reaction of the powerless, directed toward the threats of the immediate environment."
Rumors is part of the Private Snafu series of animated shorts produced by Warner Bros. during World War II. Released in 1943, the cartoon was directed by Friz Freleng.
Private Snafu and his buddies begin talking about a recent bombing, but the story grows more exaggerated with each passing turn. Eventually, a panic breaks out on his base that a bombing is imminent. In the end, nothing happens, but the base is quarantined and Snafu is locked up.

"The Red Badge of Gayness" is episode 45 of Comedy Central's animated series South Park. It originally aired on November 24, 1999.
In the summer of 2013, fans voted "The Red Badge of Gayness" as the best episode of Season 3.
The episode's name is a play on the Red Badge of Courage.
As the entire town of South Park is preparing to hold its annual American Civil War reenactment of the (fictional) Battle of Tamarack Hill, the children rehearse as a Union Army rally band.
In the morning of the reenactment, Jimbo informs the reenactors that over 200 people will come to see them reenact the battle, setting a new record. He also takes the time to remind everyone that the primary sponsor of their event is Jagerminz S'more-flavored Schnapps, "the schnapps with the delightful taste of s'mores." In addition, the special guest will be Stan's grandpa, Marvin Marsh. Meanwhile, Cartman comes dressed as General Robert E. Lee, and the boys are outraged by his dressing as a Confederate officer. Evidently under the impression that the reenactment is a competition of some sort, Cartman bets that the South will win the Civil War, and if it does, Stan and Kyle will be his slaves for a month, or vice versa. Knowing that the outcome is supposed to be historical victory for the North as planned, Stan and Kyle eagerly accept the challenge.

In statistics, parameters of the population are often estimated based on a sample, e.g. the mean or the variance. But these are only estimates and the true value in the population will lie somewhere around these estimates. Now it is of course very useful to define a range or interval in which the true value will lie with a high probability, this range is called confidence interval. 📖 E-BOOK ► https://datatab.net/statistics-book 🎓Tutorial Confidence Interval ► https://datatab.net//tutorial/confidence-interval

This statistics video tutorial explains how to find the z-score that will be used to find the confidence interval and margin of error for a population mean. This video contains 2 example problems in which you're asked to find a 90% and 95% confidence interval given the population standard deviation, sample mean, and sample size. By the way, the margin of error is also known as the error bound. This video also explains the difference between the confidence interval and the confidence level. It also discusses the meaning of the greek symbol alpha as it is used in this context. Today we’re going to talk about confidence intervals. Confidence intervals allow us to quantify our uncertainty, by allowing us to define a range of values for our predictions and assigning a likelihood that something falls within that range. And confidence intervals come up a lot like when you get delivery windows for packages, during elections when pollsters cite margin of errors, and we use them instinctively in everyday decisions. But confidence intervals also demonstrate the tradeoff of accuracy for precision - the greater our confidence, usually the less useful our range. Crash Course is on Patreon! You've got your plans to do things right.
I've got my mind it's all made up.
We have our time,
but now it's running out of space.
You know my life is just a speck,
and your heart is all the same,
see I've been staring too long at the screen.
Oh God, my mind is such a mess,
but there's these things I got to do.
you were my friend,
but now you're taking off your clothes.
I tried to look, but close my eyes.
I took a breath and made you mine.
You had your arms all tangled up in the moon.
Whats say,
that night you took away a little more than just my breath.
I swear to God that I was thinking about the summer,
or the words that I wrote on the walls that saved my life.
I don't care if I will ever be the same,
but everything just keeps reminding me of winter.
Like the drive that I took on the night I lost my mind.
So, where's my hope in all of this?
I guess it never did exist.
I wrote those songs,
and took them all to heart.
You know I'm proud of what we did.
I left you naked and apart,
with your thoughts all laid out in your room.
So what if there's something that I missed.
I know you found a way to start.
I see the men that had you tearing up you head.
That's my excuse to make a mark, when you're all tangled up in red.
I had you tricked, but then you grabbed me by the throat.
Whats say,
that night you took away a little more than just my breath.
I swear to God that I was thinking about the summer,
or the words that I wrote on the walls that saved my life.
I don't care if I will ever be the same,
but everything just keeps reminding me of winter.
Like the drive that I took on the night I lost my mind.
I hope you break through all of this.
I hear you tearing up your fists
with all those walls that broke your heart.
I'm oh so sick of everything you wrote.
I'll hold you true to every breath that we spoke of in this room.
So where's your pride, and all of your friends?
I hear you making this a story that we hope will never end.
I hope you break through all of this.
I hear you tearing up your fists
with all those walls that broke your heart.
I'm oh so sick of everything you wrote.
I'll hold you true to every breath that we spoke of in this room.
So where's your pride, and all of your friends?
I hear you making this a story that we hope will never end
Are these just the nights that we stayed for?
