Early life
Powers was born in New York City. She grew up in an 'artsy, liberal environment' on both coasts with her divorced parents. Her father teaches acting. She said in an interview that her parents, "encouraged me to find my own truth". Commenting on her faith, she stated, "I pray whenever I feel sad. And I believe that whatever is right, will work out." In that same interview, she said that her father was Roman Catholic, and her mother Katharyn Powers was interested in metaphysics. Powers' mother wrote for television programs including Fantasy Island and Charlie's Angels. At the age of six, Powers announced her intentions to become an actress.
Career
Powers appeared in various television and films roles including Cast a Deadly Spell,21 Jump Street, and Dead Poets Society. In the film Rising Sun, Powers portrayed a prostitute who attempted to seduce the character played by actor Wesley Snipes. She also had a recurring role on the NBC legal drama L.A. Law. She portrayed "Dusty Brown" in the NBC miniseries A Matter of Justice. On being successfully cast in the NBC program Tonya and Nancy, Powers commented, "In a lot of ways, it's the role of the year". For the program, she received ice-skating lessons from Dody Teachman, former coach to Tonya Harding. In a review for The Orlando Sentinel, Powers received a positive reception, "It should be said that Powers, the Christian lawyer on L.A. Law, is a dead ringer for Tonya (except Powers' thighs are thinner) and that she delivers a convincing performance."

The Seventh Coin
The Seventh Coin is a 1993 independent film starring Peter O'Toole and directed by Dror Soref.
Production
The film is filmed in Jerusalem, Israel, and With the help of Paramount, The Seventh Coin became Soref's debut as a feature film writer/director.
Plot
Peter O'Toole is Emil Saber, a retired British soldier and collector of ancient coins and Biblical artifacts. To complete his collection of king Herod's coins, Emil travels to Jerusalem to seek out the seventh and final one. In his search for the coin, Emil begins to lose his mind and eventually believes that he is the reincarnated Herod himself. This does not go well for two teenagers who possess the coin, American tourist Ronnie and Arab pickpocket Salim. As Emil continues on his murderous rampage, the teenagers must avoid him while also protecting the coin.
Reception
Stephen Holden, writing for The New York Times, described The Seventh Coin as having "plenty of snazzy local color but no idea what kind of film it wants to be".

The Seventh
"The Seventh" is the thirty-third episode (production #207) of the television series Star Trek: Enterprise, the seventh of the second season.
T'Pol is dispatched by the Vulcan High Command to capture a fugitive that has eluded their authorities for nearly two decades.
Plot
Sub-Commander T'Pol receives a covert mission from the Vulcan High Command, and informs Captain Archer that Admiral Forrest will be contacting him later about it. She remains tight lipped despite Archer's enquiries as to the exact nature of the expected diversion, but later meets privately with Archer and asks that he comes as well, since she needs someone she trusts. In conversation with Archer, she later reveals that she was trained 17 (earth) years earlier in reconnaissance retrieval, and now she is to capture one of six surgically altered, rogue Vulcan secret agents that eluded her before.
Archer, T'Pol, and Ensign Mayweather, easily track the fugitive, Menos, to a cantina on the icy Pernaia Prime moon. After a brief phase-pistol fight, they capture him, but are unable to leave due to a build up of acidic ice. Menos starts to play on T'Pol's sense of fairness and honor. He has a good life, sustaining his family with an honest job, but apparently he is dying. T'Pol, trying to disprove his story, searches for biotoxins in his ship, but is unable to locate any. Meanwhile, back on Enterprise, Commander Tucker finds the continual interruptions of command more than he expected. It gets worse when a Vulcan ship arrives, and he impersonates Archer so as not to let the Vulcans know the Captain is away.

The great powers were on the look-out for a new king of Greece.
Having attended his elder sister Alexandra's wedding in England, seventeen year old Prince Vilhelm was back at home in Denmark and about to have lunch when he glanced at the newspaper his packed lunch of sardines had been wrapped in.
To his confusion he read that he had been proclaimed as the next king of Greece. A few months later he arrived in Athens as King George I of Greece.
To pacify the troubled Greeks, who had had a king thrust upon them, Queen Victoria gave Greece the Ionian Islands by way of a dowry.
This mollified them considerably, because they had considerable ambitions to expand their frontiers.
On his arrival in Athens George I decided to move into a couple of rooms in one corner of the vast royal palace in Athens.
He knew his throne was fragile and spent the first couple of years traveling the country and getting to know his subjects. Soon he could read and write fluent Greek.
He captured the Greeks' hearts by storm and demonstrated considerable reluctance to uniforms, preferring to appear in civilian clothes. His courtiers were often more resplendently attired, and as a result Greek peasants often mistook the liveried coachman for the king, quite overlooking George I.
George I knew that the future of Greece would depend on his own relations to the great powers.
In 1867 he married sixteen-year-old Grand Duchess Olga in Russia, and when the newly-weds arrived in Greece the new queen brought with her a trunk load of dolls.
But soon after her arrival her childhood was packed away for good, because Queen Olga proved to be an eager collaborator with her husband when it came to improving social conditions in the country.
They had seven children, and the line of their eldest son, Constantine (I) spread the family across Southern Europe to Romania, Italy, Yugoslavia, and Spain.
Constantine's daughter Helena became Queen of Romania in a hideous marriage to the adulterous King Carol II.
Their other daughter, Irene, married the Italian Duke of Aosta, and their granddaughter Alexandra married the exiled King Peter II of Yugoslavia, but their marriage came to grief in time with Peter's frustration and empty life.
In 1913 George I was murdered in the street in Salonika.
He had been king for fifty years. For the next fifty years Constantine and his three sons took turns to rule the country and live in exile.
The youngest son, King Paul, fathered King Constantine II and Queen Sophia of Spain.

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Pitch Talk on the Road visited the Alexandra Park FC & 14 Fourteen Sponsorship Launch & in this full interview we had the chance to speak with Former Arsenal invincible player & French World Cup winner; Robert Pires.
We visited Alexandra Park of the Glemnet Southern Amateur League (SAL)/Amateur Football Alliance (AFA) on the day of the launch of their 1st ever sponsorship deal with sports clothing company 14Fourteen. The day had dual celebrations as it was the 1st time that the 1st team of APFC were playing in the premier league of the Glemnet SAL for 50 years. We caught up with the powers that be & influential figures at Alexandra Park fc (Chairman Dave McLoughlin & Sponsorship officer Ray Gerlach) along with a couple of famous faces in the form of French World Cup winner Christian Karembeu & Former Arsenal invincible player Robert Pires and the CEO of 14Fourteen, ex-Swiss under 21 international player Phillippe Wick. We also asked some of the next generation of APFC players and Alexandra Park Youth FC chairman Will Stanilan how they found the event as well.
