In this weeks episode of city hacks London presenter Syrus Lowe tells us about an amazing London life hack that could provide you with the perfect night out. The London comedy scene is booming with loads of great talent but of course it can be tricky to get tickets and to afford the more expensive ones. So the secret is that all comedians play smaller more intimate gigs which in turn are cheaper. Soho Theatre, Leicester Square Theatre & the Pleasance Theatre all regularly have top UK comedians trying out new material. The best way to hear about these secret comedy gigs is to join each theatres mailing list. Presenter Syrus Lowe also advises that you sign up to the comedians mailing list as well.
The next top London tip is to follow the comedians promotor on Twitter. They will be the first to put up any new information about gigs that the comedian is playing.
Finally city hacks London recommends that you check out the website Chortle. Not only does it have loads of information about comedy gigs that are playing now and in the future but you can put in a specific future date and it will let you what gigs are on then.

Tour Scotland video of photographs of Edzell Castle in Angus, This is an impressive ruin, dating from the early 16th century, with a large courtyard mansion of 1580. The beautiful pleasance, a walled garden was built by Sir David Lindsay in 1604; the heraldic and symbolic sculptures are unique in Scotland, and the flowerfilled recesses in the walls add to the outstanding formal garden, which also has a turreted garden house.

The Pleasance is a street in the Old Town, Edinburgh, Scotland. It is largely residential, although the University of Edinburgh owns property in the area. The name derives from the Scots plesance, meaning a park or garden. It first appears in 1507 as the name of a nearby house and was later transferred to the street and then the suburb which lay outwith the old town wall.
The Pleasance contains a complex of university-owned buildings which, for nine months of the year, operate as one of the four Student Union venues that serve the Edinburgh University Students' Association. The Pleasance complex consists of two main bars: The Pleasance Bar and The Cabaret Bar; the Pleasance theatre (with a capacity of 320); and several rooms that can be booked out for society use. Two LCD tvs and a large projector also ensure that all major sporting events are shown in the main bar. The Pleasance is the only one of the four student unions to hold a public license which means anyone can gain access without having to be a university student or signed in by a member.[citation needed]
