This is by far my favorite Aveda product! It is a little more expensive here on Amazon, but given the price of gas right now you might actually save a buck or two!

I have suffered from chronic migraines for about 5 years now, and while I have prescribed medication, anyone who has migraines will know that anything you can do to alleviate the onset of one is most welcomed. Sometimes medicine doesn't kick in quite fast enough, and it was only when my wife (who worked at an Aveda Salon & Spa) came home with this product that I realized what I had been missing!

This blue oil, when applied by a loving wife to the temples with a little massage, is incredibly soothing. The peppermint and chamomile are a wonderful mix of aromas, not too obnoxious for someone with migraine but strong enough to soothe the mind and body. It's definitely not a cure for a bad headache/migraine, but it's definitely a good companion to other medication! This also works EXTREMELY well for massages - added to a little mineral oil this 50ml bottle can go a long way. I love the handy roller tip that this has - not only does it massage the area you are applying but it dispenses it at the perfect rate with no drips!

Overall, highly recommended, and at least worth a trip into your local Aveda salon to try it out! You won't be disappointed!

This review is on the product not the price.

Many years ago, I bought the tiny bottle and have used it to combat nausea. Peppermint is great for nausea! Planes make me queasy sometimes, so to relieve that feeling, I rub a bit between my thumb and index finger (in the webbed area) and nonchalantly I'd hold my hand up to my nose and inhale deeply (I also dap a bit under my nose). It really helps to lessen or dissipate that queasy feeling.

My bottle is a few years old, and light has changed the bright blue to a dark green-blue, but the oxidation didn't diminish the potency.

I believe I bought it for $9 all those years ago! Today, on the Aveda website, it's $18. While I love Amazon, it appears as if their cheapest price is twice that of Aveda. I will be buying this as gifts this year, but will have to go to a less expensive site or store. Sorry Amazon :(. I'm an avid Amazon shopper, but a 150% markup is too much!

Fantastic oil. It has a rather strong peppermint scent, and is great for pedicures, or simply rolling between your palms for a little aromatherapy. I also found that it helps with low grade headaches. I like the rollerball feature. It prevents spills, and let's you control how much you want. Small compact size makes it convenient to carry in your purse or pocket. A little bit goes a long way

Well I do not know if this is my imagination but this actually helps me fall asleep. Dr. Oz had it on his show and of course I got it right away- anything to help with sleep. I would recommend this for sure. If you wake up during the night it will relax you into falling asleep once again.

I absolutely LOVE Aveda Blue Oil! It helps when I am dealing with a Migraine headache, tension headache, nausea (from either) or just plain need a pick me up from stress! Even for a sinus headache roll a bit by the temples and nose and you will feel relief!

I love to purchase from Amazon but go to Aveda for this one!

I would highly recommend this product (whether you buy it from Amazon or not). I went and received a massage and near the end I could feel an immense amount of sinus pressure building up under my eyes and on either side of the bridge of my nose from laying on my stomach for too long. The massage therapist flipped me over and used some of this product on my neck/temples/chest and I felt instant relief. The sinus pressure dissolved and the headache that was beginning to form because of the sinus pressure melted away as well.

Also, my shoulders felt a lot less tense as well. I immediately bought a bottle right after my massage was finished. I love this product. I wish it came in a bottle that was little bit larger though. Definitely worth trying!

The resellers of this product are trying to rip you off, it's only $16.50 at Aveda. That said, this is an amazing product. I wasn't sure what to expect when I tried it, but I put it on my temples and either side of my nose and my sinus headache virtually disappeared. It's a cheaper and safer alternative to medications for pain and congestion.
