Doha (Arabic: الدوحة, ad-Dawḥa or ad-Dōḥa, literally: "the big tree") is the capital city of Qatar and is located on the coast of the Persian Gulf, it had a population of 1,312,947 in 2013. Doha is Qatar's largest city, with over 60% of the nation's population residing in Doha or its surrounding suburbs, and is also the economic centre of the country. It is also one of the municipalities of Qatar.
Doha also serves as the seat of government of Qatar. Doha is home to the Education City, an area devoted to research and education. Doha was the site of the first ministerial-level meeting of the Doha Development Round of World Trade Organization negotiations. The city of Doha held the 2006 Asian Games, the largest of the series held to that time.[citation needed] Doha also hosted the 2011 Pan Arab Games and most of the games at the 2011 AFC Asian Cup. Doha hosted the UNFCCC Climate Negotiations (COP 18) December 2012 and will host a large number of the venues for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The World Petroleum Council held the 20th World Petroleum Conference in Doha in December 2011

BEAUTIFUL SHOPPING MALLS OF DOHA-QATARS
Villagio
The Villagio shopping mall offers a good mix of shops, restaurants and recreation. Based on a Venetian theme, the mall has a canal that visitors can navigate using a genuine Venetian Gondola. The mall also offers an indoor Olympic-sized skating rink and a 22,000-sqm theme park.
Landmark
Also a good mix of dining, shopping and entertainment, Landmark shopping mall is believed to have marked the beginning of mall culture in the country. It looks like a traditional fort from outside and holds a children's play area called Circus Land.
City Center Doha
One of the largest malls in the Middle East, City Center Doha boasts five levels of shopping peppered with bowling options, an ice skating rink, a gaming area a water park and an amusement park. There's also a large food court to complement all the activities.
Royal Plaza
To purchase jewellery or avail of personal shopping services head straight to Royal Plaza. This exclusive mall is for the deep-pocketed connoisseurs of luxury items.
Souq Waqif
This is air-conditioned traditional market is a great place to acquaint yourself with local and regional craftwork. Souq Waqif is one of the liveliest places in Doha, boasting restaurants serving traditional Qatari food and various specialties from the Middle-East

During the trip to Vietnam, we have a connection in Doha Qatar and a waiting time of about 6-7 hours. We chose to take a tour of about three hours from the city of Doha and surrounding area.
We leave the airport for heading to the Fanar Qatar Islamic Cultural Center and we visited Souq Waqif and after we have a tour of Doha and Qatar Katara Cultural Village with his visual art gallery, its magnificent acoustics amphitheater and we finished our visit to Porto Arabia Carousel with all the luxury of the place and other a Ferrari showroom.
Lors du voyage vers le Vietnam , nous avions une connection à Doha Qatar et un temps d'attente d'environ 6-7 heures . Nous avons choisi de faire une visite d'environ 3 heures de la ville de Doha et les environs. Nous avons quitter l'aéroport pour ce diriger vers le centre culturel islamique Fanar Qatar et nous avons visité Souq Waqif et après nous avons une tournée de Doha et du village culturel de Katara Qatar avec sa galerie d'art visuel , son magnifique amphitéatre acoustique et nous avons terminé notre visite au Porto Arabia Carousel avec tout le luxe de la place et autre un show room de Ferrari.

Qatar (
i/ˈkɑːtɑr/ or i/kəˈtɑr/;Arabic: قطر [ˈqɑtˤɑr]; local vernacular pronunciation: [ɡɪtˤɑr]), also known as the country or State of Qatar or locally Dawlat Qaṭar, is a sovereign Arab state, located in Western Asia, occupying the small Qatar Peninsula on the northeasterly coast of the much larger Arabian Peninsula. Its sole land border is with Saudi Arabia to the south, with the rest of its territory surrounded by the Persian Gulf. A strait of the Persian Gulf separates Qatar from the nearby island state of Bahrain.
Qatar has been ruled as an absolute monarchy by Al Thani family since the mid-19th century. Formerly a British protectorate noted mainly for pearling, it became independent in 1971, and has become one of the region's wealthiest states due to its enormous oil and natural gas revenues. In 1995, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani became Emir when he seized power from his father, Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, in a peaceful coup d'état. The most important positions in Qatar are held by the members of the Al Thani family, or close confidants of the al-Thani family. Beginning in 1992, Qatar has built intimate military ties with the United States, and is now the location of U.S. Central Command’s Forward Headquarters and the Combined Air Operations Center.

During the trip to Vietnam, we have a connection in Doha Qatar and a waiting time of about 6-7 hours. We chose to take a tour of about three hours from the city of Doha and surrounding area.
We leave the airport for heading to the Fanar Qatar Islamic Cultural Center and we visited Souq Waqif and after we have a tour of Doha and Qatar Katara Cultural Village with his visual art gallery, its magnificent acoustics amphitheater and we finished our visit to Porto Arabia Carousel with all the luxury of the place and other a Ferrari showroom.

01. Museum of Islamic Art
A museum located on the Corniche. The iconic building was designed by architect I. M. Pei. Represents Islamic art from three continents over 1,400 years. Influenced by ancient Islamic architecture, yet has a unique design.
02. Souq Waqif
A souq. Transliterated to "the standing market," the souq is noted for selling traditional garments, spices, handicrafts, and souvenirs. Also home to dozens of restaurants and Shisha lounges. Was renovated in 2006 to conserve its traditional architectural style.
03. Doha Corniche
A waterfront promenade extending for several kilometers along Doha Bay. Used to be an empty stretch of walkway in which the only visible edifice was a Sheraton Hotel, but development has increased in the 21st century with dozens of skyscrapers being built towards the north of the Corniche.
04. The Pearl-Qatar
An artificial island spanning nearly four million square metres. It is the first land in Qatar to be available for freehold ownership by foreign nationals. The name "The Pearl" was chosen because the island is being built on one of Qatar's previous major pearl diving sites.
05. Villaggio Mall
A shopping mall located in the Aspire Zone. Inside, the interiors are Italianate-themed both as an Italian hill town, but also with a 150-meter long indoor canal with gondolas. Has over 200 stores, including many famous brands in the U.S., U.K., Italian and German markets.
06. Barzan Towers
Aso known as the Umm Salal Mohammed Fort Towers, are watchtowers that were built in the late 19th century and renovated in 1910 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Jassim Al Thani. The towers measure 16 metres (52.49 ft) high. The fort links to two other fortified buildings towards the west and another tower towards the north.
07. Aspire Tower
Also known as The Torch Doha, is a 300-metre-tall (980 ft) skyscraper hotel located in the Aspire Zone complex. Served as the focal point for the 15th Asian Games hosted by Qatar in December 2006. Currently the tallest structure and building in Doha and Qatar.
08. Qatar Motor Show
An annual international motor show. Held each January at the Doha Exhibitions Centre. Features new models as well as supercars, concept cars, custom cars from style centers and automotive designers. Outdoor demonstrations of motocross and drifting are featured as well as test driving.
09. Al Bidda
A neighborhood of Doha. It was previously the largest town in Qatar in the 19th century. Was incorporated as a district in the Doha municipality in the late 20th century.
10. Doha Golf Club
An 18-hole, 7,374-yard, par 72 championship course that was designed by Peter Harradine. One of the first grass golf course ever built in the Middle East. Open to nonmembers, it has a 2 808 yards long floodlit nine-hole academy course, and a clubhouse with three restaurants and a golf shop.

01. Museum of Islamic Art
A museum located on the Corniche. The iconic building was designed by architect I. M. Pei. Represents Islamic art from three continents over 1,400 years. Influenced by ancient Islamic architecture, yet has a unique design.
02. Souq Waqif
A souq. Transliterated to "the standing market," the souq is noted for selling traditional garments, spices, handicrafts, and souvenirs. Also home to dozens of restaurants and Shisha lounges. Was renovated in 2006 to conserve its traditional architectural style.
03. Doha Corniche
A waterfront promenade extending for several kilometers along Doha Bay. Used to be an empty stretch of walkway in which the only visible edifice was a Sheraton Hotel, but development has increased in the 21st century with dozens of skyscrapers being built towards the north of the Corniche.
04. The Pearl-Qatar
An artificial island spanning nearly four million square metres. It is the first land in Qatar to be available for freehold ownership by foreign nationals. The name "The Pearl" was chosen because the island is being built on one of Qatar's previous major pearl diving sites.
05. Villaggio Mall
A shopping mall located in the Aspire Zone. Inside, the interiors are Italianate-themed both as an Italian hill town, but also with a 150-meter long indoor canal with gondolas. Has over 200 stores, including many famous brands in the U.S., U.K., Italian and German markets.
06. Barzan Towers
Aso known as the Umm Salal Mohammed Fort Towers, are watchtowers that were built in the late 19th century and renovated in 1910 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Jassim Al Thani. The towers measure 16 metres (52.49 ft) high. The fort links to two other fortified buildings towards the west and another tower towards the north.
07. Aspire Tower
Also known as The Torch Doha, is a 300-metre-tall (980 ft) skyscraper hotel located in the Aspire Zone complex. Served as the focal point for the 15th Asian Games hosted by Qatar in December 2006. Currently the tallest structure and building in Doha and Qatar.
08. Qatar Motor Show
An annual international motor show. Held each January at the Doha Exhibitions Centre. Features new models as well as supercars, concept cars, custom cars from style centers and automotive designers. Outdoor demonstrations of motocross and drifting are featured as well as test driving.
09. Al Bidda
A neighborhood of Doha. It was previously the largest town in Qatar in the 19th century. Was incorporated as a district in the Doha municipality in the late 20th century.
10. Doha Golf Club
An 18-hole, 7,374-yard, par 72 championship course that was designed by Peter Harradine. One of the first grass golf course ever built in the Middle East. Open to nonmembers, it has a 2 808 yards long floodlit nine-hole academy course, and a clubhouse with three restaurants and a golf shop.

Don’t miss the other royal grounds, including Changgyeonggung Palace, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Unhyeongung Palace.
If you’re really looking to get a sense of the more modern, Seoul tourism scene, prepare to shop ’til you drop! This city takes shopping seriously, as you can find stores and markets scattered all around town. COEX Mall is Korea’s largest underground shopping mall, while Namdaemun Market features hundreds of vendors selling almost anything you can imagine, from kimchi to kitchenware. In the mood for some late-night shopping? Discover some of the best finds in fashion at Dongdaemun Market, which is open all through the night, closing around 7 a.m.
Continue your Seoul city tour by making your way to the theaters to witness some marvelous performances. These theaters know how to put on a show–Korean martial artists, dazzling dancers, and talented musicians take the stage at the Korea House, Jeongdong Theater, and Seoul Arts Center. I was lucky enough to fly business class with Qatar Airways on their inaugural flight from Amsterdam Schiphol airport to Hamad International airport at Doha, Qatar. This flight is QR1003 which departs at 06:30. A beautiful hazy morning departure from Dubai, a right turn shortly after take off meant we flew straight towards the Palm Jurmeirah where the Atlantis Hotel can be clearly seen down below. We then climbed to 22,000ft briefly while we were served a small breakfast snack and some orange juice before beginning our descent shortly after. Weather in both cities were very similar, temperature was in the mid 30's already, even at 6am! Through the night it doesn't fall below 32 or 33 degrees, so the minute the sun is visible in the early morning the temperature begins increa... -

For the third time in less than 9 months I join another flight not just out of the UK but out of Europe and this time to a new corner of the planet I've not yet explored, The Middle East. Flight departed from Heathrow's Terminal 4, so includes the taxi across runway 27L over to 27R for departure. Also notice the aircraft roll forward to line up, then stop sharply. We had crossed the runway threshold stop line while a British Airways A320 was on approach to land. So we quickly turned around and taxied round in a big circle and waited again for the runway to clear. A great flight down to Doha, plenty of drinks and snacks and a fairly good entertainment system. Be warned, despite finally being on an A380 this isn't the best full flight video I've made. My camera battery died just inches above the runway at Heathrow, literally! We then climbed to 22,000ft briefly while we were served a small breakfast snack and some orange juice before beginning our descent shortly after. Weather in both cities were very similar, temperature was in the mid 30's already, even at 6am! Through the night it doesn't fall below 32 or 33 degrees, so the minute the sun is visible in the early morning the temperature begins increasing straight away. This flight was also technically an experience of time travel. With there being an hour difference in time between Dubai & Doha, but the flight time being less than an hour we arrived in Doha about 10 minutes before we left Dubai!

A few interesting shots of passing traffic, like the Thomson 757 we were racing on its to Dalaman (Turkey). A very smooth landing in the gorgeous brand new Doha Hamad Int'l airport with an extremely impressive terminal! I included a few shots from inside the new terminal. It's absolutely huge but really clear and very easy to navigate through.

It's absolutely huge but really clear and very easy to navigate through.

First off let me just apologize. Be warned, despite finally being on an A380 this isn't the best full flight video I've made. My camera battery died just inches above the runway at Heathrow, literally! Less than a second before touch down my camera run out of battery. I tried to grab my older camera out of my bag as quickly as possible but we had just vacated the runway by then. Also the A380 is extremely quiet and Qatar decided to play deafening, irritating music during the entire departure sequence which completely ruins the take off.
SO that aside. This was my first flight on-board an A380 and what a beautiful aircraft it is, Qatar have done a tremendous job on them. Very modern, spacious interior with lots of room and fantastic entertainment system and of course the service was brilliant. However with A380's there is an "Outer layer" of plastic over the window so you can't actually get your camera up to the window so the edge of the window is nearly always visible. Beautiful views over central Europe, some nice shots of other traffic around and incredible "sight seeing" approach over London! Look out for all the London land marks on approach!

Drive to the new Hamad International Airport in Qatar. This is a completely new built airport.
Hamad International Airport (IATA: DOH, ICAO: OTHH) (Arabic: مطار حمد الدولي) is the international airport for Doha, the capital city of Qatar. It replaces the former Doha International Airport as Qatar's airport. Formerly known as New Doha International Airport (NDIA), Hamad International Airport was originally scheduled to open in 2009, but after a series of costly delays, the airport finally opened on April 30, 2014 with a ceremonial Qatar Airways flight landing from Doha International. Inside the airport you can see the amazing architecture with long arches stretching across in many areas. After passing through immigration you will be able to witness the beauty of this new airport. Not a single moment you will be bored as everywhere you look there is so much to see. The Duty Free shops are very much different from the ones at Dubai Airport and give you more the feeling of luxury and upper class and not so much being adopted for masses.
Inside the airport is darker in many places and not so much natural sunlight can enter the building. It is just a different way and was maybe the intention of the architects planning the new airport.

According to 38 North, “limited movement of vehicles and equipment” were photographed at the North Portal, which has been the site of the last three nuclear tests in North Korea.
