STORM !! Airbus A380 CROSSWIND Landing at Düsseldorf

I have filmed lots of crosswind landings within the past four years but this was the first time I was able to film an A380 crosswind Landing. All crosswind Landings are amazing but seeing an A380 fighting against the wind was something special. In addition to that the runway was very wet and the A380 touched down a little late. Emirates started using the A380 on the Düsseldorf - Dubai service four months ago. It replaced the Boeing 777-300. Birmingham Airport. The world's largest passenger airplane Airbus a380 Emirates Airline spectacular departure on the first historic flight. Today the weather was very windy and rainy plus gusty storms but hundreds of spectators still gathered close to the airport to see the arrival and stunning takeoff. A380s will now fly to Dubai from Birmingham BHX Airport daily for the first time. The flights are aimed at business and leisure travellers to Dubai, as well as commuters to a variety of Eastern destinations including Auckland, Islamabad, Bangkok, Mumbai and Hong Kong. The water spray during takeoff was something special effect. STORM !! Crosswind Landings at Düsseldorf - Airbus A380, A340, Boeing 777, B767 ...

A severe storm passed Europe yesterday and some pilots had to fight with extreme crosswinds again while trying to land at Düsseldorf. Storm "Jeanne" reached wind speeds up to 60 miles an hour and the wind was coming from South/East, which caused a 90° "wind attack" angle for the planes. Some airplanes which tried to land at Paris CDG or London Heathrow had to divert to other airports because the wind was way to strong. I spent 8 hours at the airport yesterday and some of the clips are a little dark because I already started filming before sunrise. Check out the rabbits crosswing the runway while the Cathay Pacific Boeing 777 landed. The annual "Crosswind Landing" competition took place at Düsseldorf again ;). Exactly one year ago I uploaded my last corsswind landing video. The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, wide-body, four-engine jet airliner manufactured by the European corporation Airbus, a subsidiary of EADS. It is the world's largest passenger airliner and due to its size, many airports have had to expand their facilities to properly accommodate it. Designed to challenge Boeing's monopoly in the large-aircraft market, the A380 made its maiden flight on 27 April 2005 and entered initial commercial service in October 2007 with Singapore Airlines. The aircraft was known as the Airbus A3XX during much of its development, before receiving the A380 designation.

The A380's upper deck extends along the entire length of the fuselage, with a width equivalent to a wide-body aircraft. This allows for an A380-800's cabin with 478 square metres (5,145.1 sq ft) of floor space; 49% more floor space than the next-largest airliner, the Boeing 747-400 with 321 square metres (3,455.2 sq ft), and provides seating for 525 people in a typical three-class configuration or up to 853 people in all-economy class configurations. The A380-800 has a design range of 15,400 kilometres (8,300 nmi; 9,600 mi), sufficient to fly from New York to Hong Kong, and a cruising speed of Mach 0.85 (about 900 km/h or 560 mph at cruising altitude).

I have filmed lots of crosswind landings within the past four years but this was the first time I was able to film an A380 crosswind Landing. All crosswind Landings are amazing but seeing an A380 fighting against the wind was something special. In addition to that the runway was very wet and the A380 touched down a little late. Emirates started using the A380 on the Düsseldorf - Dubai service four months ago. It replaced the Boeing 777-300. Today the weather was very windy and rainy plus gusty storms but hundreds of spectators still gathered close to the airport to see the arrival and stunning takeoff. A380s will now fly to Dubai from Birmingham BHX Airport daily for the first time. The flights are aimed at business and leisure travellers to Dubai, as well as commuters to a variety of Eastern destinations including Auckland, Islamabad, Bangkok, Mumbai and Hong Kong. A severe storm passed Europe yesterday and some pilots had to fight with extreme crosswinds again while trying to land at Düsseldorf. Storm "Jeanne" reached wind speeds up to 60 miles an hour and the wind was coming from South/East, which caused a 90° "wind attack" angle for the planes. Some airplanes which tried to land at Paris CDG or London Heathrow had to divert to other airports because the wind was way to strong. I spent 8 hours at the airport yesterday and some of the clips are a little dark because I already started filming before sunrise. A severe storm passed Europe yesterday and some pilots had to fight with extreme crosswinds again while trying to land at Düsseldorf. Storm "Jeanne" reached wind speeds up to 60 miles an hour and the wind was coming from South/East, which caused a 90° "wind attack" angle for the planes. Some airplanes which tried to land at Paris CDG or London Heathrow had to divert to other airports because the wind was way to strong. I spent 8 hours at the airport yesterday and some of the clips are a little dark because I already started filming before sunrise. On 4 November 2010, Qantas Flight 32, en route to Sydney's Kingsford Smith Airport, suffered an uncontained engine failure in its No.2 engine shortly after take-off. The crew managed to overcome a number of resulting failures and make an emergency landing back at Singapore. There were 469 passengers and crew on board. There were no injuries to the passengers, crew or people on the ground; debris from the aircraft fell onto the Indonesian island of Batam. I have filmed lots of crosswind landings within the past four years but this was the first time I was able to film an A380 crosswind Landing. All crosswind Landings are amazing but seeing an A380 fighting against the wind was something special. In addition to that the runway was very wet and the A380 touched down a little late. Emirates started using the A380 on the Düsseldorf - Dubai service four months ago. It replaced the Boeing 777-300. A severe storm passed Europe yesterday and some pilots had to fight with extreme crosswinds again while trying to land at Düsseldorf. Storm "Jeanne" reached wind speeds up to 60 miles an hour and the wind was coming from South/East, which caused a 90° "wind attack" angle for the planes. Some airplanes which tried to land at Paris CDG or London Heathrow had to divert to other airports because the wind was way to strong. I spent 8 hours at the airport yesterday and some of the clips are a little dark because I already started filming before sunrise. Check out the rabbits crosswing the runway while the Cathay Pacific Boeing 777 landed. The annual "Crosswind Landing" competition took place at Düsseldorf again ;). Exactly one year ago I uploaded my last corsswind landing video. Archaeologists have unearthed a massive stone tablet outside of Florence they believe will lead to a greater understanding of the ancient Etruscan civilization, an advanced civilization whose cities ranged up and down the west coast of Italy between 2800 and 2400 years ago, an Ars Technica report said Wednesday ...
