They portray him in various perspectives: a god-child, a prankster, a model lover, a divine hero, and the Supreme Being. The principal scriptures discussing Krishna's story are the Mahabharata, the Harivamsa, the Bhagavata Purana, and the Vishnu Purana.

I was in a place that I couldn't get out of. I was unable to do the thing I needed to do to save myself. To save my ass.and my own stuff was preventing me from doing that. My own desires, my own hungers, you know just humanenes was preventing me from doing the practice the way it had to be done. I was going to use the chanting to feed all my desires, which wasn't going to help me or anyone else and that's not why I was doing the practice. Chanting with people was the only thing I could do was to help myself
"The yearning of my heart was being destroyed by me. I was unable to fill that yearning. I was too hungry".
"Nor did I recognize the only thing that was required at the time, which was surrender.So, I was helpless, but If I had really seen that I was helpless.. that would have been surrender.
And he showed me that there was no me at all. It was just a fantasy. I was freed to tome back and really sing, because it wasn't about me at all. And even if people thought it was me, that's ok. And even if I forget and think it's me. It isn't. Even if I think it is, the truth is actually not that.

Synopsis:
Misro (Charan Raj) is a dacoit SP Chakravarthy (Sarath Babu) arrests him. Charan Raj wounds himself and is taken to hospital for cure, where Chakravarthy is waiting for his wife Geeta (Sangeetha) who is on labor and she gives birth to twins and the doctor says that both children have reflection mentality, that means "if it pains to one other also hurts" depending on distance. Misro escapes and takes one of the twins with him, hurting Geeta. Chakravathy goes behind him but he could not find the child but shoots Misro. The child was taken by a lady who works as a daily labour with her husband. They have a daughter and one day in an accident at construction place were killed. The two children become orphans and they grew up but the brother Deva (Nagarjuna) with his friend Kaasi another orphan (Brahmanandam) become thieves for earning.
On the other hand, Geetha goes into coma and Chakravarthy takes her to America for cure, where other twin Ravi Varma (also Nagarjuna) is brought up. He returns India as a rock star to give performances here. He is received by Giribabu (Chakravarthy's friend) who wishes to give his daughter Manga (Ramya Krishna) to him. But Ramya is in love with Deva. Watch the full movie to find out what happens next.

Layering traditional Hindu kirtan with instantly accessible melodies and modern
instrumentation, Krishna Das has been called yoga's "rock star." With a remarkably soulful voice that touches the deepest chord in even the most casual listener, Krishna Das -- known to friends, family, and fans as simply KD -- has taken the call-and-response chanting out of yoga centers and into concert halls, becoming a worldwide icon and the best-selling chant artist of all time, with over 300,000 records sold.
KD spent the late '60's traveling across the country as a student of Ram Dass, and in August 1970, he finally made the journey to India, which led him to Ram Dass' own beloved guru, Neem Karoli Baba, known to most as Maharaj-ji.
Given the name Krishna Das, KD began to chant as part of following the path of Bhakti yoga -- the yoga of devotion.
After two and a half years with Maharaj-ji, returned to USA - alas, six months after his
return, word came that Maharaj-ji had died.
He took solace in music, finding peace and strength in both his Bhakti yoga practice as
well as in such heroes as Ray Charles, Van Morrison, Steely Dan, and Bruce Springsteen
(whom he laughingly calls "the Bodhisattva of New Jersey"). KD also co-founded
Triloka Records, a California-based label specializing in world music, releasing such
artists as Jai Uttal, sarod virtuoso Ali Akbar Khan, and legendary jazz musician/composer
Jackie McLean.
In 1994, KD started leading chant at Jivamukti Yoga Center, NYC, with an ever-growing
audience of yoga students which has led to chant with people all around the world.
Since 1996 KD has recorded 14 albums including his latest ones 'Heart as Wide as the World" and 'Chants of a Lifetime' (book + CD).
"The chanting just hits you and you want to be a part of it," KD promises. "That's the point of this whole thing. That's what cuts through all the 'stuff'. You get lit up. You don't have to know what it means."

KD spent the late ‘60’s traveling across the country as a student of Ram Dass, and in August 1970, he finally made the journey to India, which led him to Ram Dass’ own beloved guru, Neem Karoli Baba, known to most as Maharaj-ji.
Given the name Krishna Das, KD began to chant as part of following the path of Bhakti yoga – the yoga of devotion.
After two and a half years with Maharaj-ji, returned to USA – alas, six months after his return, word came that Maharaj-ji had died.
He took solace in music, finding peace and strength in both his Bhakti yoga practice as well as in such heroes as Ray Charles, Van Morrison, Steely Dan, and Bruce Springsteen (whom he laughingly calls “the Bodhisattva of New Jersey”). KD also co-founded Triloka Records, a California-based label specializing in world music, releasing such artists as Jai Uttal, sarod virtuoso Ali Akbar Khan, and legendary jazz musician/composer Jackie McLean.
In 1994, KD started leading chant at Jivamukti Yoga Center, NYC, with an evergrowing audience of yoga students that has led him to chant with people all around the world. In February 2013, Krishna Das performed at the Grammy awards in Los Angeles, CA streamed online to millions of viewers. The awardwinning film ‘One Track Heart: The Story of Krishna Das’ has been in over 100 US cities, over 10 countries worldwide and is available on DVD everywhere.
With the release of his 14th album, Kirtan Wallah—one who sings kirtan, KD offers a westward-leaning album, fully embracing his American roots in rock and country and yet embodying the spirit of deeply devotional Indian chants – the heart of this latest album is still in the Names that he’s singing.

Lord Krishna is the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu in Hinduism. The name Krishna appears as the 57th and 550th name of Lord Vishnu in Vishnu Sahasranama of the Mahabharata, and is also listed in the 24 Keshava Namas of Lord Vishnu which are recited and praised at the beginning of all Vedic pujas. A puja is the ritualistic worship offered in Hinduism.
According to the Bhagavata Purana, which is a sattvic purana, Krishna is termed as Svayam Bhagavan since he was the purna-avatara or full incarnation of the supreme god Vishnu. Krishna is often described and portrayed as an infant or young boy playing a flute as in the Bhagavata Purana, or as a youthful prince giving direction and guidance as in the Bhagavad Gita. The stories of Krishna appear across a broad spectrum of Hindu philosophical and theological traditions. They portray him in various perspectives: a God-child, a prankster, a model lover, a divine hero and the supreme being. The principal scriptures discussing Krishna's story are the Mahabharata, the Harivamsa, the Bhagavata Purana, and the Vishnu Purana.
Worship of the deity Krishna, either in the form of Vasudeva, Bala Krishna or Gopala, can be traced to as early as 4th century BC. Worship of Krishna as svayam bhagavan, or the supreme being, known as Krishnaism, arose in the Middle Ages in the context of the bhakti movement. From the 10th century AD, Krishna became a favourite subject in performing arts and regional traditions of devotion developed for forms of Krishna such as Jagannatha in Odisha, Vithoba in Maharashtra and Shrinathji in Rajasthan. Since the 1960s the worship of Krishna has also spread in the West, largely due to the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.
