Join us for a quick aerial tour around the inner harbor at Road Town, Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, Caribbean! This is a bay we've spent many years frequenting as it is the central hub of the charter community and where we all return to clean and prepare boats for arriving charter guests.. you will see the new Moorings/Sunsail charter base, the new town cruise ship dock and village being built, and Village Cay Marina which was our home base when doing charters for so many years!
The video was filmed with our Mariner Waterproof Drone, with no gimbal, just a fixed mount GoPro Hero4 in a waterproof case with long-range FPV system upgrade. Original footage is filmed in 4K UltraHD and this video is processed in 1080p for uploading purposes.

You are guaranteed to see beautiful corals and sponges, plentiful fish, and perhaps a turtle or ray will swim by and visit. After your snorkel, step ashore on to Norman Island. Snorkel on a smaller nearby reef, wander ashore and explore the beach or hunt for treasure.
Cooper Island, Chromis Reef is another popular site and often more conducive to snorkeling when sea conditions are not ideal. At Chromis Reef you can expect to see hundreds of fish, hard and soft corals, lobster, barracuda and maybe even a nurse shark! Access to the sites is right off the boat and snorkel lessons are available for beginners.
Note: Participants must be good swimmers. Due to weather conditions, the snorkeling site may be changed. A beach stop on Cooper Island is optional depending on conditions.

Tortola
Tortola /tɔːrˈtoʊlə/ is the largest and most populated of the British Virgin Islands, a group of islands that form part of the archipelago of the Virgin Islands. It has a total population of 23,908, with 9400 residents in Road Town.
Local tradition recounts that a Young man by the name of Adrian Fahie found the island of Tortola there was already a man there Adrian recounts a man known as the Waxman and he knew all the ins and outs or Tortola and gladly showed Adrian around but the Waxman eventually disappeared due to mysterious purposes then Adrian was all alone and became the leader of the island and still is to this day with his slave Andres Rivera.
History
On his second voyage for the Spanish Crown to the Caribbean, Christopher Columbus spotted what are now called the British and US Virgin Islands. He named the archipelago after the 11,000 virgins of the 5th-century Christian martyr St. Ursula. The Spanish made a few attempts to settle the islands, but pirates such as Blackbeard and Captain Kidd were the first permanent residents.

Cooper Island, Chromis Reef is another popular site and often more conducive to snorkeling when sea conditions are not ideal. At Chromis Reef you can expect to see hundreds of fish, hard and soft corals, lobster, barracuda and maybe even a nurse shark! Access to the sites is right off the boat and snorkel lessons are available for beginners.
Note: Participants must be good swimmers. Due to weather conditions, the snorkeling site may be changed. A beach stop on Cooper Island is optional depending on conditions.

Tortola is a very beautiful island, however there will be many curved roads and going up and down hills. Please note that the beach that this tour includes (Long Bay Beach on Beef Island) is a very pristine and natural beach, and has been specially chosen for its tranquility, and is known to be less crowded. Guests must be aware that this beach does not offer any services at all. There are no restrooms, no deck chairs, no umbrellas only (natural shade), nor food concessions.
