"Many have accused Jon Stewart of being pro-Hamas for expressing sympathy for the residents of Gaza, where more than 500 people have been killed -- including at least 100 children -- in recent fighting with Israel.
So on Monday night's "Daily Show," just about the entire roster of correspondents popped up to scream at him any time he uttered the word "Israel."
"Look, obviously there are many strong opinions on this," Stewart said when the shouting subsided. "But just merely mentioning Israel or questioning in any way the effectiveness or humanity of Israel's policies is not the same thing as being pro-Hamas."
That of course led to a new round of shouts and insults, prompting Stewart to turn to a "lighter" topic: Ukraine."

Romanian/Nat
The Romanian premiere, Radu Vasile, has announced that he will push legislation to return to Jews the property that was stolen from them during and after World War II.
On the first of his four-day visit to Israel, Vasile said he would introduce legislation in parliament next month to return seized property still in Romanian government hands.
Vasile and Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu signed two trade agreements, one dealing with agricultural cooperation, and a second on investment protection.
The Romanian premier began his tour of Israel with a walk around Jerusalem's walled Old City with his wife Maricua on Monday morning.
The couple visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the traditional site believed to be that of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection.
They went on to the Western Wall, Judaism's holiest site, and then toured the shops of the Muslim Quarter.
Romania and Israel have close links, with more than 450-thousand Jews of Romanian origin live in Israel, according to Israel's Foreign Ministry.
Some 400-thousand Jews - half the Romanian Jewish population - died in World War II, when Romania was allied with Nazi Germany.
Many others left the country in the years after the war, when thousands of Jewish
properties were seized and nationalized by Romania's communist government.
After the war, the communist government inherited Jewish property stolen by the Nazis, then began a nationalization programme during which even more was confiscated.
Although only 12-thousand Jews are left in Romania today, Romanian Jews living outside the country are expected to apply for lost property as well.
The Israeli and Romanian premieres announced that they would work toward a free-trade agreement between their countries, and to increase trade, which stands at about 250 (m) million U-S dollars a year.
Vasile and Netanyahu signed two separate agreements, one dealing with agricultural cooperation, and a second on investment protection.
Vasile made it clear that a healthy relationship with Israel, despite a regrettable past, is vital to the prosperity of Romania.
SOUNDBITE: (Romanian)
"We must understand that the relationship between Israel and Romania is vital for the future of Romania"
SUPER CAPTION: Radu Vasile, Romanian Prime Minister
It's thought that several thousand public properties and perhaps hundreds of thousands of private properties owned by Jews were seized by the Nazis and the communists.
Romania's president, Emil Constantinescu, won praise from Romanian Jewish leaders last year for publicly acknowledging the country's complicity in the Holocaust.

ABOUT DVD
For over 1800 years, the Jews were scattered throughout all nations without a homeland. Then in 1948, the impossible happened. The State of Israel was founded, and the Jews once again possessed the promised land. Many Christians have proclaimed this to be a miracle and a blessing from God, but was this really the blessing of the Lord, or were darker forces at work? This film has the answer.
From the makers of After the Tribulation and New World Order Bible Versions, this groundbreaking documentary traces the history of the Jewish people from the destruction of the temple in A.D. 70 to the founding of the modern-day nation of Israel in 1948. Biblical evidence is examined as well as history, cutting-edge DNA science, mathematics, and testimony from pastors and rabbis to settle once and for all one of the most controversial questions of all time: Who are God's chosen people?

Transylvania boasts in various extremely beautiful landscapes. Its mountaintops are crowned by castle ruins, in its steep creeks rivers are twisting. In the giant wooden lands caves can be found, while among the alpine snow-capped mountains tarns are awaiting the tourists. Unique sights are the Békás Canyon and the Killer's Lake, which guards the petrified pinewoods. The warm springs feed such spa-resorts as Tusnádfürdő or Szováta. The medieval towns surrounded by towers and walls tell us tales of the past. National costumes, carved Székely-gates and the works of the Korond potters represent the ancient art of the folks living here. A legend or a story belongs to almost every city, every castle, no matter if it is the tall Déva castle, Hunyadvár or Brán, the Castle of Count Dracula.

Take a tour of Town of Sibiu in Sibiu, Romania -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats.
Sibiu, situated in the heart of Romania, is a large city with a historic foundation.
It is divided into two main sections: the older Lower Town and the Upper Town. The old town dates back to the twelfth century and still has buildings from that time.
Sibiu was once a fortified city and some of its walls and towers still stand.
The Upper Town is newer and features the Grand Square, named for obvious reasons.
The city has a great collection of museums and medieval buildings, and is quite beautiful.

A desperate coalition of "Romans" -- that is, Romanized Franks, Teutons, Celts and Visigoths under a half-Visigothic "emperor" -- managed to defeat Attila's Huns at Chalons in western France in AD 451. The defeated Huns drifted and ravaged their way back through Central Europe and modern Russia to the Volga, disappearing temporarily from history.
But not for long, only for 287 years.
In AD 740, a numerous Russian steppe tribe converted to Judaism because of geopolitical pressures of the time. Called "Khazars" by chroniclers of the day, they were direct descendants of Attila's Huns who had retreated back to the Volga after Attila's defeat at the Battle of Chalons in France and Attila's death two
years later in AD 453. Their capital city, Kazaran-Itil, was on the lower Volga near the Caspian Sea - still the Bahr al Khazar in Arabic, or "Khazar Sea".
Once becoming Jewish and "chosen", these ex-Hun Khazars gave the word slavery to the world by selling Slavic captives in previously unimagined numbers. Joseph Jacobs in his Jewish Contributions to Western Civilization (1920) described the rapes, atrocities and tortures with which the Khazars "processed" their
newly captured slaves. These "Jewish" Khazars ravaged the formerly still-quite-civilized old Roman provinces of Dalmatia, Dacia, Hungary and Romania in a relentless search for slaves that reduced these previously long-cultured regions to barbarism by sheer terror and brutality.
Just as we sometimes and very erroneously called Germans "Huns" during World War I, Khazar atrocities in Central and Eastern Europe were never forgotten by the Slavic population and these Eastern European Slavs remain "chronically anti-Semitic" today. For them, the word "Khazar" came to signify a pig.
For those with literary interests, the realm of Sauron's "Mordor" in J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings was modeled on a mixture of medieval Hun/Khazars and modern Western industrialism. The soldiers of Mordor were called orcs...which is Gaelic Irish (the Goidelic branch of Celtic) for pigs. Soon it will become
very clear why Tolkien equated Huns and Khazars with rampant Western industrialism.
In AD 1218, the brief but intense Mongol invasion destroyed Khazar cohesion as a powerful warrior tribe, but an estimated three million survivors retained their Judaism when they were dispersed into Central and Eastern Europe as steppe refugees. They are the so-called "Ashkenazi Jews" as distinct from genuine biblical Hebrews. They are by far the most numerous "Jews" in the world today, the prime victims of Hitler's so-called "Holocaust" and the people that most ordinary and non-scholarly North Americans know as "Jews".
Out of this chaos resulting from the "Fall of Rome", the modern Western World began to emerge about AD 1100-1300. But now it had a thoroughly "Caucasian" psychosexual and cultural profile that had been imposed because of inundation by concentrated Neanderthal genes from the Caucasus Mountains and
south Russian steppes.
It is both fascinating and sobering to ponder the undeniable historical fact that just one ferocious steppe people or tribe has absolutely hammered out the basic pattern of Western history from countless crucibles of conflict.
These Huns first attacked China, inspired the Great Wall, and intimidated later Chinese so much that China dared very few epochs of expansion. It became an essentially inward-looking society up until the time of European encroachment in the 15th century of the Christian Era.
Close relatives of the Huns established Judaism in Palestine and later even concocted what most people think of as "Christianity". Much of Islam was also inspired by Judaism.
But more than that, the Huns were ultimately responsible for the Fall of Rome and the end of the Western Ancient World because of the successive barbarian migrations that they inspired with sheer terror.
They were major players in the building of the modern world, too, including the discovery of America with its associated genocide and slave trade. This was rapidly followed by the exploration and exploitation of the whole world, as we shall soon see. They have played a disproportionally important role in the development of modern Western industry, finance and militarism. Today's most dangerous conflicts are still intimately bound up with their vehemently-asserted identity-myths.
This is quite a record for just one highly-Neanderthaloid Caucasus people. There must be something unusual and atypical about them that can explain their historical prominence. Are they truly God's Chosen People? Or, are they merely unusually aggressive?

Herod the Great built palaces for himself on the mountain and fortified Masada between 37 and 31 BCE. The Siege of Masada by troops of the Roman Empire towards the end of the First Jewish--Roman War ended in the mass suicide of the 960 Jewish rebels and their families holed up there. Masada is located 20 kilometres (12 mi) east of Arad.
Masada is Israel's most popular paid tourist attraction.
The siege of Masada was among the final accords of the Great Jewish Revolt, occurring from 73 to 74 AD on a large hilltop in current-day Israel. The long siege by the troops of the Roman Empire led to the mass suicide of the Sicarii rebels and resident Jewish families of the Masada fortress. The siege was chronicled by Flavius Josephus, (who did not witness the event), a Jewish rebel leader captured by the Romans, in whose service he became a historian. Masada has become a controversial event in Jewish history, on the one hand becoming a place of reverence, a site commemorating fallen ancestors and their heroic struggle against oppression, and on the other a stark warning against radicalism.
Legacy
The siege of Masada is often revered in modern Israel as "a symbol of Jewish heroism". According to Klara Palotai, "Masada became a symbol for a heroic 'last stand' for the State of Israel and played a major role for Israel in forging national identity". To Israel, it symbolized the courage of the warriors of Masada, the strength they showed when they were able to hold of Masada for almost three years, and their choice of death over slavery in their struggle against an aggressive empire. Masada had become "the performance space of national heritage", the site of military ceremonies. Palotai states how Masada "developed a special 'love affair' with archeology" because the site had drawn people from all around the world to help locate the remnants of the fortress and the battle that occurred there.
Others, however, see it as a case of Jewish radicals refusing to compromise, resorting instead to suicide and the murder of their families, both prohibited by Rabbinic Judaism. Researchers are questioning the findings of Yi

The Orthodox churches in Eastern Europe seem to be bound to the Communist states in essentially loveless marriages, except in Rumania. The Rumanian Orthodox Church is still seen as an important aspect of Rumania's cultural heritage and ethnic identity. The Orthodox liturgy is one of the oldest and longest in Christendom, and the spirituality of the services intensified by the Byzantine splendor of the setting and the beauty of some of the most inspiring choral music to be heard in any church in the world.

- FOR NOTES TO THIS LECTURE, CLICK ON THIS LINK:Session #4 of a 12-part lecture series entitled the "Counter-Missionary Survival Seminar" which responds to the 2,000 year-old claim by Christian missionaries that Jesus is the Jewish messiah. This session shows how Christian missionaries approach the Jewish Bible with a preconceived agenda and ultimately see what's not there and don't see what is there. This convoluted approach leads them to quote passages out-of- context so they can inject their beliefs into the Jewish Bible. The result... a dramatic misreading and distortion of the Holy Scriptures. This is part of a 12-part lecture series entitled the "Counter-Missionary Survival Seminar".
JEWS FOR JUDAISM is an international organization dedicated to countering the growing multi-million dollar efforts of Christian missionary groups that target Jews, the impact of cults and eastern religions, assimilation and other challenges to Jewish continuity. JEWS FOR JUDAISM's goals are to strengthen Jewish pride and identity and to win back Jews who have been influenced by missionaries and cults. We achieve our goals through FREE educational programs, materials and counseling services that connect Jewish people to the spiritual depth, beauty and wisdom of Judaism and keep Jews Jewish.

VISIT LEARN: 1,000 Christian missionary groups spend over $300 million annually, targeting Jews for conversion worldwide. In recent years, they've converted over 500,000 Jews. In an effort to win Jews, many of these organizations camouflage themselves to appear Jewish in order to lessen resistance by Jews to convert to Christianity. They may call their clergy "rabbis" and refer to their churches as "messianic synagogues."
Adherents in this movement may refer themselves as Jews for Jesus, Hebrew Christians, Messianic Jews, or Messianic Jewish Christians and present Christianity in the guise of Judaism to attract potential Jewish converts. They often celebrate Jewish holidays with a Christian spin, hold Shabbat services on Friday or Saturday and wear Jewish skullcaps and prayer shawls to create the impression that a Jew can become a Christian and still maintain their Jewish identity. The Shabbat candle lighting, Hamotzei and Kiddush make unaffiliated Jews feel very welcome.
