The tablets are a little over two inches across and are inscribed on one side with different images like a horned animal and a tree. Scientists from around the world examined the artifacts and carbon dating was used to reveal that the tablets were over 6500 years old, meaning they were examples of the earliest form of writing in the world. 7.Dobrogea Underground Labyrinth 33 miles from Constanta, the oldest continuously inhabited city in Romania, lies a huge underground labyrinth. Starting in 1916, researchers began to investigate the labyrinth and discovered ancient remains left by human beings such as carved walls and ceilings and very old ceramic fragments. Thanks to these remains we know that the cave was inhabited from between the first and tenth century A.D. It is a very vast and confusing labyrinth and the people that inhabited the labyrinth had to use a marking system to avoid getting lost. 6.Pestera Muierii Fossil Inside of the Pestera Muierii caves of Romania a 35000 year old fossil was discovered. Uncovered in 1952 this fossil of a woman with rugged traits is the oldest known fossil to be discovered in Romania. This fossil also helps support the theory that ancient humans went back to Africa after journeying to Eurasia. 5.Mysterious Ancient Complex Object Discover in the beginning of 1974 by construction workers in central Romania, no one knows what this ancient tool was used for and, at first, no one cared. For 21 years after its discovery it lay in a storage room at the Museum of Transylvania. Finally, in 1995 it was analyzed and it was discovered that it was a metal piece made mostly of aluminum. With two indented holes and a two fin shaped protrusion at one end, it is speculated that it could have been part of a larger tool, but the true use and origins of this millennia old piece remains a mystery to this day. 4.Romanian Skull For people in the west discovering romanian culture, both ancient and current, can be quite bizarre and different, something we are not used to or accustomed to. In peasant culture there is a very strong belief in the undead and the evil eye. Magic is regarded as something very real and powerful. Perhaps this can explain the mysterious skull that was found in Romania because it is hard to find another explanation for this warped, bizarre looking fossil. 3.Bronze Matrix Of Sarmizegetusa In 2013 there was a huge storm that uprooted a tree in the Romanian city of Sarmizegetusa Regia. In the hole left by the fallen tree lay a very unique bronze matrix. Known as one of the most important archeological discoveries ever made in the area it is the only known matrix of its kind ever discovered in the area. It has a hexagonal shape and is covered with the outlines of several animals. The over 2000 year old piece was used by a jewelry designer to create matrixes that helped to mold precious metals into jewelry. This piece is a sneak peak into the way our ancient ancestors live making it invaluable. 2.The Sibiu Manuscripts Published in 1967 in the Romanian Historical Review this manuscript describes a rocket launch into space. What is truly bizarre and dumbfounding is that this rocket launch took place in 1555. According to the 450 page manuscript thousands of people witnessed this event, which took place in what is today the Romanian city of Sibiu. The manuscript describes the rocket launch as a complete success. This is the first known manuscript on rockets in the world and the type of rockets described in the documents were later launched at Cape Kennedy and used in several space programs! 1.Bucegi Mountain Tunnel System In 2003, with the use of brand new satellite technology, the Pentagon discovered that there was a system of tunnels and caves underneath an ancient sphinx in the Bucegi Mountains of Romania. There is a cloud of mystery surrounding what was found and there are many rumors connected to the discovery. It was reported that a representative of the Illuminati was sent to the site shortly after the discovery. It was also rumored that the remains of giants were found inside the tunnels. Conspiracy theorists would say that an effort has been made by the government to hide what was actually found inside of these tunnels.
