Glenarden is a city in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. The population was 26,000 at the 2010 census.
Glenarden is located at 38°55′55″N 76°51′42″W / 38.93194°N 76.86167°W / 38.93194; -76.86167 (38.932061, -76.861648).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.4 km2), all of it land.
As of the 2010 Census Glenaden had a population of 6,000. The ethnic and racial composition of the population was 0.6% non-Hispanic white, 91.1% non-Hispanic black, 0.3% Native American, 0.6% Asian, 2.9% from some other race, 1.7% from two or more races and 6.0% Hispanic or Latino of any race.
As of the census of 2000, there were 6,318 people, 2,078 households, and 1,664 families residing in the city. The population density was 4,828.9 people per square mile (1,862.1/km²). There were 2,167 housing units at an average density of 1,656.3 per square mile (638.7/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 0.85% White, 95.77% African American, 0.36% Native American, 0.65% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.36% from other races, and 1.96% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.76% of the population.
