This 8 minute scene of mostly dialogue has three main functions.
At this point in the movie, in the beginning of act three, after the previous story twists, our expectations of what is to come are already well set up. But here John Doe is very confident and repetedly emphasizes the impact of his coming act. This raises even more the audience expectation and triggers an almost unbarable curiosity for the climax. (Just imagine a hand of God breaking your DVD-player just before the end sequence and you would Never Ever get to know what happened!)
On another level the dialogue handles the theme as John Doe explains his motivation for his beastly act. We learn that his engagement is perfectly reflecting the reason of Somerset to resign. They share a dark view of the world as a place where nobody cares anymore. But, and this should really be annoying, as Somerset chooses to stand back and resign, John Doe, in his perverted way, takes action to make the world a better place.
Finally, the escalating conflict between Mills and John Doe, that ends with John Doe humiliating Mills, is needed to emotionally set up Mills for the actions of the climax.

Seven (sometimes stylized as Se7en) is a 1995 American thriller film, with horror and neo-noir elements, written by Andrew Kevin Walker, directed by David Fincher, and distributed by New Line Cinema. It stars Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman, with Gwyneth Paltrow, R. Lee Ermey and Kevin Spacey in supporting roles.
The newly-transferred David Mills (Pitt) and the soon-to-retire William Somerset (Freeman) are homicide detectives who become deeply involved in the case of a sadistic serial killer. Each meticulously-planned murder corresponds to one of the seven deadly sins: gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, pride, lust, and envy.
The film was released in the United States on September 22, 1995. Grossing $327 million at the box office internationally, Seven was a commercial success, and received very positive reviews from most critics.
In an unidentified city of near-constant rain and urban decay, the soon-to-be retiring Detective William R. Somerset (Freeman) is partnered with short-tempered Detective David Mills (Pitt) who recently transferred to the department.

William Bradley "Brad" Pitt (born December 18, 1963) is an American actor and film producer. Pitt has received four Academy Award nominations and five Golden Globe Award nominations, winning one Golden Globe. He has been described as one of the world's most attractive men, a label for which he has received substantial media attention.
Pitt first gained recognition as a cowboy hitchhiker in the road movie Thelma & Louise (1991). His first leading roles in big-budget productions came with A River Runs Through It (1992), Interview with the Vampire (1994), and Legends of the Fall (1994). In 1995, he gave critically acclaimed performances in the crime thriller Seven and the science fiction film 12 Monkeys, the latter earning him a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor and an Academy Award nomination. Four years later, Pitt starred in the cult hit Fight Club. He then starred in the major international hit Ocean's Eleven (2001) and its sequels, Ocean's Twelve (2004) and Ocean's Thirteen (2007). His greatest commercial successes have been Troy (2004) and Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005). Pitt received his second and third Academy Award nominations for his leading performances in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008) and Moneyball (2011). In addition, Pitt owns a production company, Plan B Entertainment, whose productions include The Departed (2006), which won the Academy Award for Best Picture, and Moneyball, which garnered a Best Picture nomination.

At this point in the movie, in the beginning of act three, after the previous story twists, our expectations of what is to come are already well set up. But here John Doe is very confident and repetedly emphasizes the impact of his coming act. This raises even more the audience expectation and triggers an almost unbarable curiosity for the climax. (Just imagine a hand of God breaking your DVD-player just before the end sequence and you would Never Ever get to know what happened!)
On another level the dialogue handles the theme as John Doe explains his motivation for his beastly act. We learn that his engagement is perfectly reflecting the reason of Somerset to resign. They share a dark view of the world as a place where nobody cares anymore. But, and this should really be annoying, as Somerset chooses to stand back and resign, John Doe, in his perverted way, takes action to make the world a better place.
Finally, the escalating conflict between Mills and John Doe, that ends with John Doe humiliating Mills, is needed to emotionally set up Mills for the actions of the climax.

On the other hand, it could be the age today’s riders are growing up in, it’s how they ride and all they know, media has obviously changed and the “old ways” just don’t make as much sense anymore. Riders are progressing at an amazing rate, are so consistent, things are moving so fast that it only makes sense that they showcase what they can do 'now', it’s created this new kind of work ethic toward riding and filming, which in itself could also be considered pretty awesome. Courage Adams has grown up riding in this new media age, its all he knows, he fires out some of the craziest stuff as if it’s nothing, has progressed exponentially over the last couple of years coming into his own, creating his own style, getting the respect of his peers and catching the eye of some of the most legit brands out there as sponsors, all while remaining humble, quiet and semi landlocked in Europe, which in itself is quite amazing. When time came for Courage to film a part for flybikes he approached this aforementioned frenzied riding / media era wasting no time putting in 'work' by showing amazing versatility and that he’s as comfortable on his front wheel as the back, creating awesome lines all while having the balance of a cat…. "On some levels I feel kinda bad for the kids today, there’s more amazing riders than ever before but they may never know what its like to film a legitimate video part, something they put work into, that takes years to get done, something to be proud of that’ll stand the test of time and be their legacy as a rider, like some of the guys in “Criminal Mischief”, “Can I Eat” or “Forward”, all they know is firing out daily “enders” on Instagram or web edits that seem to fade into oblivion in no time, and to many older riders this could be viewed as devaluing a lot of hard work or the tricks being done. On the other hand, it could be the age today’s riders are growing up in, it’s how they ride and all they know, media has obviously changed and the “old ways” just don’t make as much sense anymore. Riders are progressing at an amazing rate, are so consistent, things are moving so fast that it only makes sense that they showcase what they can do 'now', it’s created this new kind of work ethic toward riding and filming, which in itself could also be considered pretty awesome. Courage Adams has grown up riding in this new media age, its all he knows, he fires out some of the craziest stuff as if it’s nothing, has progressed exponentially over the last couple of years coming into his own, creating his own style, getting the respect of his peers and catching the eye of some of the most legit brands out there as sponsors, all while remaining humble, quiet and semi landlocked in Europe, which in itself is quite amazing. When time came for Courage to film a part for flybikes he approached this aforementioned frenzied riding / media era wasting no time putting in 'work' by showing amazing versatility and that he’s as comfortable on his front wheel as the back, creating awesome lines all while having the balance of a cat…. This is a very rare English dubbed print of Lina Wertmuller's 1975 Italian masterpiece, Seven Beauties. The film is about an Italian everyman (Giancarlo Giannini) who deserts the army during World War II and is captured by the Germans and sent to a concentration camp, where he is willing to do anything necessary in order to survive, including having sexual relations with the grotesquely obese and hatefully sadistic female commandant (Shirley Stoler). Through flashbacks, we learn about his family of seven unattractive sisters, his accidental murder of one sister's lover, his imprisonment in an insane asylum, his rape of a mental patient, and his volunteering to be a soldier to escape confinement, only to find himself in an even worse predicament than before.
This was the first film to receive an Oscar nomination for Best Director by a female. It was also nominated for Best Actor, Screenplay, and Foreign Film. Some people dislike dubbed films, but I first saw both of these films in the late 70s on PBS, and I love these versions. I dont know if the voice in both of these versions was acted out by Giannini or someone else, but it is endearing. I have also posted the English print of "Swept Away" to YouTube.

The beautiful, young Snow White grows as a servant Hof her jealous stepmother and his father. This may think your stepdaughter will be more beautiful than her, stand and hired a hunter to take the girl into the woods and kill there. He does as he was told, the murder of an innocent beauty is the heart and allows them to flee in the dark forest.
Snow errs in fear through the night and finally fell asleep. She wakes up the next morning in the company of animals of the forest, leading to a small house. Here is evidence within seven dwarves, who, however, order and cleaning the house neglected for some time. Forward that meets the animals to work and bring the house into shape. In the Grimm version, the dwarves, however, are pretty neat - Snow White does not have to take care of the housework.

Sony Pictures has released the very first trailer for The Magnificent Seven online. The updated western based on Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai is about a group of desperate townspeople who employ the protection from seven outlaws, stars Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, and Vincent D’Onofrio. The movie is directed by Antoine Fuqua and comes to theatres September 23rd.
With filming now underway, Justice League is continuing to add to their already impressive list of supporting actors with a new addition to the cast announced via THR. Willem Dafoe is the latest actor to join, and the second from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movies; the first being J.K. Simmons who will be playing Commissioner Gordon. THR’s report says his part is being kept under lock and key, only to say that he is playing a “good guy” in the movie.
Though Avengers Age of Ultron was a box office smash, it didn’t quite hit the mark with fans especially, as the original Avengers did. A fact that director Joss Whedon is very aware of. At a Q&A; with Mark Ruffalo at the Tribeca Film Festival, Whedon addressed the perception of Age of Ultron and his feelings on it from a report via Vulture.

End of the Tour director James Ponsoldt has signed on to direct I Want My MTV, a movie based on the book chronicling the creation of MTV and its first decade of the network’s existence that became a cultural icon. A24, the studio behind Room, The Witch and upcoming Green Room is behind the adaptation which is described as a fun, immersive look at the network’s rise through testimonials and celebratory accounts of a one-of-a-kind cultural moment.
The latest entry in the Fast & Furious franchise, Furious 8, is currently filming with new director, Straight Outta Compton’s, F Gary Gray behind the camera. To get the fans excited, Vin Diesel released the newest poster on his Facebook page that utilizes a fitting tag line: New Roads Ahead. The movie will bring back the original cast with Charlize Theron joining them as the new villain.
The Weinstein Company has released a new trailer for their upcoming sports drama Hands of Stone, which stars Robert De Niro and Edgar Ramirez as the trainer/fighter duo of Ray Arcel and Roberto Duran and R&B; star Usher as boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard. Duran’s bouts with Leonard drew worldwide attention after he beat Leonard in the first fight but gave up in the eighth round of the second fight, telling the ref ‘No Mas.’
