Toby Huss (born December 9, 1966) is an American actor and screenwriter best known for portraying Artie in the Nickelodeon series The Adventures of Pete & Pete (1993–1996). He is also known for his voice-over work on the long-running animated series King of the Hill (1997–2010) and his role as Felix "Stumpy" Dreifuss on HBO's Carnivàle (2003–2005). He currently plays John Bosworth on the AMC original period drama Halt and Catch Fire.
Huss was born in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Gerald and Elma Huss. He attended the University of Iowa, where he participated in No Shame Theatre before moving to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.
In the early 1990s, Huss appeared in network promos for MTV, playing odd characters, including a crooner known at the time as Ol' Two Eyes, who sang lounge-singer versions of Dr. Dre's "Dre Day", Cypress Hill's "Insane in the Brain", Pearl Jam's "Jeremy", and Onyx's hit "Slam"; a James Bond-like spy named Cobalt; a leather fetishist with an abnormal affection for goats; a flannel-wearing doofus; and an angry redneck named Reverend Tex Stoveheadbottom, who delivered fast-talking and descriptively detailed non-sequitur tirades that usually included the phrase, "Go to Hell!"
"This hamfisted, dumdum parade of a presidential election has been trying to murder me for months now. So I fought back the only way I know how: with booze. Plenty of booze. But then a song. And then some drunken singing. Then I got sick all over a good suit and fell asleep in a warm dumpster behind a nightclub humming a punk rock tune. That's the Casoni way, so shove it. I know that bum Jerry Brown is behind this turdshow anyway, so I'm voting for Liquor. Mr. Malted Liquor." Director: Peter Hastings Band: Andy Paley, Phil Small, James King, Ryan Feves, Mike Bolger, Jordan Katz, Mark San Filippo Performers: James Urbaniak, Kate Flannery, Mark Fite, Pat Healy, Kelly Rae Cole, Audrey deluxe

In keeping with Boing Boing’s mission of being a “directory of mostly wonderful things,” here’s a new video by Frank Sinatra’s bastard son, performing an updated version of The Dead Kennedys’ song California Über Alles while changing backstage. OK, it’s not the actual bastard son of Sinatra. It’s Toby Huss of TV’s Halt and Catch Fire, playing his alter ego Rudy Casoni, (who does claim to be the lounge singer's illegitimate son). Huss-as-Casoni references the current political circus before throwing some 2016 shade at Democratic California Governor Jerry Brown with some updated lyrics. The video offers us a brief respite from the 24-hour Trump-centric Republican bashing (deserving as it may be), using casual visual wit, some cameos by comedic actors like James Urbaniak of The Office, and so...
Toby Huss from Halt and Catch Fire gives a Raspberry Pi promotion for the Rhode Island Computer Museum.

there's a kid who's full of hate and he's sitting all alone, to a 14 y/old kid the world can be so cold. he's got crowbar in his left hand and a switchblade in his right, and he knows it's too late, someone's gotta die tonite..and the crack of the bat is his favourite sound, except for the thud, when the body hits the ground. there's a mother who's lost control and she's began to cry. the moon is up the sun is down, someone's gotta die. [chorus] i don't know why you didn't take it, i don't know...u-n-i-t-y?? (ill have to get back to you on the secondpart...)
