If you are looking for an interesting vehicle with a decent fuel economy and spacious interior, this may be the perfect vehicle for you. In this video, he gives us a tour of the 2016 Jeep Patriot which comes in different models and with many different options. You can opt for a 2WD or 4WD, and there are different transmission options to choose from. Featured in this video is the High Altitude 4WD model with a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
It is hard to believe that the 2016 Patriot is actually considered as an entry-level vehicle. The vehicle interior is nothing like what you would expect from other entry-level vehicles. Leather-trimmed seats, cruise control, steering wheel radio controls, heated seat elements, auxiliary input for iPods and a moonroof suggest nothing short of elegance which is totally surprising. There is also an ample amount of
headroom and legroom in the front and back seats.
The storage room in the back is enough for most people, but if you need more storage space, you can simply fold down the 2nd-row seats.

Jeep Patriot
The Jeep Patriot (MK) is a compact crossover SUV introduced in early 2007 by Jeep. It debuted publicly in April 2006 at the New York Auto Show along with the same MK platform Compass. The two are essentially the same except the Freedom Drive II (FDII) package is only available on the Patriot making the Patriot the most expensive vehicle built on the MK platform. Up until the introduction of Jeep Renegade in 2015, the Patriot remained Jeep's lowest-level entry, and still remains one of the lowest priced SUV-styled crossovers in North America to date (it is by far the lowest-priced new SUV sold in Canada).
The Patriot and the Compass are slated to be phased out by 2018 and be replaced by an SUV with one of the two models' names.
Design
The Compass and Patriot are both based on the DaimlerChrysler/Mitsubishi GS platform. These vehicles are differentiated by their styling and marketing: The Patriot is a traditional four-door Jeep wagon, similar to the Cherokee, which was discontinued in the U.S. in 2001, while the Jeep Compass is intended as a sporty crossover, but with more capacity to handle rough roads and poor weather than competitors like the Pontiac Vibe. The Dodge Caliber, also based on the GS platform, was a more direct competitor to the Pontiac Vibe and Toyota Matrix, and was more like a small hatchback than either of the Jeeps. The Patriot is manufactured at Chrysler's Belvidere, Illinois assembly plant alongside the Compass.

Jeep
Jeep is a brand of American automobiles that is a division of FCA US LLC (formerly Chrysler Group, LLC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. The former Chrysler Corporation acquired the Jeep brand, along with the remaining assets of its owner American Motors, in 1987. Jeep's current product range consists solely of sport utility vehicles and off-road vehicles, but has also included pickup trucks in the past.
The original Jeep was the prototype Bantam BRC. Willys MB Jeeps went into production in 1941 specifically for the military, arguably making them the oldest four-wheel drive mass-production vehicles now known as SUVs. The Jeep became the primary light 4-wheel-drive vehicle of the United States Army and the Allies during World War II, as well as the postwar period. The term became common worldwide in the wake of the war. Doug Stewart notes:
The first civilian models were produced in 1945. It inspired a number of other light utility vehicles, such as the Land Rover. Many Jeep variants serving similar military and civilian roles have since been designed in other nations.
