Dave Pratt

Dave Pratt is an American radio personality, known to his fans as the "Morning Mayor". His show Dave Pratt in the Morning became the longest running rock and roll morning show in the United States. Pratt has sold more than 100,000 albums with his band (Sex Machine Band), headlining sold-out shows in major venues throughout Arizona.

The sobriquet "Morning Mayor" was given to him by Attorney General Terry Goddard.

Life

Pratt began his career at the age of 16 on KELK in his hometown of Elko, Nevada. He subsequently worked at 98 KUPD where he stayed for 20 years.

In January 2002, Pratt joined Howard Stern on CBS Radio’s alternative rock station KZON. Switching from rock to country in 2003, he hosted Dave Pratt in the Morning on KMLE Country 108 until he was salary downsized by the network in the down economy of 2008.

In May 2011, Dave Pratt started webcasting "Dave Pratt Live" and has grown his own internet radio network to over 100 shows worldwide. His show can be heard on DavePrattLive.com, and on www.DoublewideNetwork.com iPhone, Blackberry, and Android apps are also available.

Fifty Shades of Grey is a 2011 erotic romance novel by British author E. L. James. It is the first instalment in the Fifty Shades trilogy that traces the deepening relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. It is notable for its explicitly erotic scenes featuring elements of sexual practices involving bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, and sadism/masochism (BDSM). Originally self-published as an ebook and a print-on-demand, publishing rights were acquired by Vintage Books in March 2012.

Fifty Shades of Grey has topped best-seller lists around the world, selling over 125 million copies worldwide by June 2015. It has been translated into 52 languages, and set a record in the United Kingdom as the fastest-selling paperback of all time. Critical reception of the book, however, has tended toward the negative, with the quality of its prose generally seen as poor. Universal Pictures and Focus Features produced a film adaptation, which was released on 13 February 2015 which also received generally unfavourable reviews.

Plot

Three days since leaving Christian, Anastasia "Ana" Steele has begun her job at Seattle Independent Publishing (SIP), where she has been hired as personal assistant to editor Jack Hyde. Ana gets an uneasy feeling about him as he continually asks her out, but writes it off. Christian emails her to see if she needs a ride to her friend Jose Rodriguez's gallery exhibit in Portland, which she had forgotten about until Christian emailed her. The pair attend the show together and reconcile their relationship by kissing in an alley and visiting a restaurant together. Christian buys José's portraits of Ana for selfish reasons, one of which is to prevent random people from buying them and displaying them in their homes, and the second is for his own amusement.
