The Legend of Zelda (Japanese: ゼルダの伝説, Hepburn: Zeruda no Densetsu) is a high-fantasy action-adventure video game series created by Japanese game designers Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka. It is primarily developed and published by Nintendo, although some portable installments have been outsourced to Capcom, Vanpool, and Grezzo. The series' gameplay incorporates elements of action, adventure, and puzzle-solving games. The Legend of Zelda is one of Nintendo's most prominent franchises.
The series centers on Link, the playable character and chief protagonist. Link is often given the task of rescuing Princess Zelda and the kingdom of Hyrule from Ganon, who is the principal antagonist of the series; however, other settings and antagonists have appeared in several titles. The games' plots commonly involve a relic known as the Triforce, a set of three omnipotent golden triangles. The protagonist in each game is usually not the same incarnation of Link, but a few exceptions exist.
A legend is a historical narrative, a symbolic representation of folk belief.

Koji Kondo (近藤 浩治, Kondō Kōji, born August 13, 1961) is a Japanese video game composer and sound director who has been employed at Nintendo since 1984. He is best known for his involvement in numerous titles in the Mario and The Legend of Zelda series of video games.
Kondo was born in Nagoya, Japan, on August 13, 1961. He began taking lessons in the electronic organ from the age of five. He improved his skills in the instrument in a cover band that played jazz and rock music. Kondo studied at the Art Planning Department of Osaka University of Arts, but was never classically trained or particularly dedicated to music. However, he gained some experience in composing and arranging pieces, using both the piano and a computer to assist him. During his senior year, Nintendo sent a recruitment message to his university stating that they were interested in hiring people dedicated to composition and sound programming. An LCD and arcade gamer, Kondo successfully applied for the job in 1984 without requiring any demo tapes.
A fairy (also fay, fae, fair folk; from faery, faerie, "realm of the fays") is a type of mythical being or legendary creature in European folklore, a form of spirit, often described as metaphysical, supernatural, or preternatural.
According to Thomas Keightley, the word "fairy" derives from the Latin fata, and is from the Old French form faerie, describing "enchantment". Other forms are the Italian fata, and the Provençal "fada". In old French romance, "fee" was a woman skilled in magic, and who knew the power and virtue of words, of stones, and of herbs.
Faie became Modern English fay. Faierie became fairy, but with that spelling now almost exclusively referring to one of the legendary people, with the same meaning as fay. The word "fairy" was used to in represent an illusion, or enchantment; the land of the Faes; collectively the inhabitants thereof; or an individual such as a fairy knight.
To the word faie was added the suffix -erie (Modern English -(e)ry), used to express either a place where something is found (fishery, nunnery) or a trade or typical activity engaged in (cookery, thievery). In later usage it generally applied to any kind of quality or activity associated with a particular type of person, as in English knavery, roguery, wizardry. In the sense "land where fairies dwell", the distinctive and archaic spellings Faery and Faerie are often used.

原曲: Orchestra Piece #2 から: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 作曲: Mahito Yokota 横田 真人 & Kōji Kondō 近藤浩治 Hey there ! Another cover again ! This time I decided to mix up my piano and my guitar on a Zelda: Twilight Princess soundtrack composed by Mahito Yokota, great Nintendo's soundtracks composer. This one was quite special for me because it's my first cover on an orchestral track. That was a bit difficult but very interesting. Enjoy ! (Dedication to Cricri)
Another Minish Cap sequence from 2004. I think there's actually three different "fairy" tracks in Minish Cap (File Select, Fairy Fountain and Great Fairy). This is specifically the Fairy Fountain. I also arranged it a bit in the second half and added full chords, just for fun (call it a bit of artistic license ;) i do this very rarely, however) For downloads, visit my site: http://iridescentaudio.co.uk Follow me on twitter: http://twitter.com/blitzlunar

Hopefully I'm not late to the party regarding this latest 4-in-1 diatribe on ANOTHER ONE OF NINTENDO'S WELL-KNOWN FLAGSHIP FRANCHISES, WHICH - just like Metroid & Kid Icarus (the former of which I covered last Summer-through-Fall, I might add) - HAS REACHED THE 30TH MILESTONE/TURNING POINT IN ITS CONTINUED LEGACY. What is this "LEGACY" of which I speak? It centers around a lone, young Hylian adventurer & warrior hell-bent on restoring peace to his rightful kingdom - mostly by rescuing its sole heiress (hence its title), wiping out the dark, tyrannical forces of a repugnant, bloodthirsty, power-hungry wizard...and most importantly - recovering/reclaiming important artifacts in order to meet the latter aim! Experience the history of THE LEGEND OF ZELDA like never before - through the eyes...
