Hesse /ˈhɛs/ or Hessia (German: Hessen [ˈhɛsən], Hessian dialect: Hesse [ˈhɛzə]) is both a cultural region of Germany and the name of an individual German state.
The English name "Hesse" comes from the Hessian dialect. The variant "Hessia" comes from the medieval latin Hassia. The German term Hessen is used by the European Commission, not because it is English, but because their general policy is to leave regional names untranslated (paragraphs 1.31 & 1.35). The term "Hesse" ultimately derives from a Germanic tribe called the Chatti, who settled in the region in the first century B.C.
An inhabitant of Hesse is called a Hessian (German: Hesse (masculine) or Hessin (feminine)) (see also Hessian (soldiers)).
As early as the Paleolithic period, the Central Hessian region was inhabited. Due to the favorable climate of the location, people lived there about 50,000 years ago during the last glacial period, as burial sites show from this era. Finds of paleolitical tools in southern Hesse in Rüsselsheim suggest Pleistocene hunters about 13,000 years ago. The Züschen tomb (German: Steinkammergrab von Züschen, sometimes also Lohne-Züschen) is a prehistoric burial monument, located between Lohne and Züschen, near Fritzlar, Hesse, Germany. Classified as a gallery grave or a Hessian-Westphalian stone cist (hessisch-westfälische Steinkiste), it is one of the most important megalithic monuments in Central Europe. Dating to the late 4th millennium BC (and possibly remaining in use until the early 3rd), it belongs to the Late Neolithic Wartberg culture.

In this talk Fr. Hesse explains why it is evident that the supposed Vatican publication of the Third Secret in the year 2000 was a hoax. He discusses why the actual (unpublished) Third Secret must have, by necessity, made reference to the Second Vatican Council and the unprecedented apostasy in the Church in some form. He also discusses why this released document in 2000 by the Vatican was a diversion from what is the actual Third Secret announcing the errors/heresies in Vatican II and the apostasy in the Church starting from the very top of the Church (in line with other approved prophecies such as the prophecies of Our Lady of La Salette, Our Lady of Good Success, etc.) A notable statement from this talk: “I cannot see any other sense in that quoted publication [the supposed Third Secret released by the Vatican in 2000] but to hide the disastrous effects and disastrous contents of a council that I do not believe for one minute was a [valid] council and that I do not believe for one minute was [an act of] the [infallible] Magisterium of the Church.” Fr. Hesse answers the very logical question: It is quite obvious that the published Third Secret is not the actual (or at least full) Third Secret. Why is there not more of an outcry among priests, religious, and lay faithful? -

This talk is all about the famous Third Secret of Fatima. In this talk Fr. Hesse explains why it is evident that the supposed Vatican publication of the Third Secret in the year 2000 was a hoax. He discusses why the actual (unpublished) Third Secret must have, by necessity, made reference to the Second Vatican Council and the unprecedented apostasy in the Church in some form.
He also discusses why this released document in 2000 by the Vatican was a diversion from what is the actual Third Secret announcing the errors/heresies in Vatican II and the apostasy in the Church starting from the very top of the Church (in line with other approved prophecies such as the prophecies of Our Lady of La Salette, Our Lady of Good Success, etc.)
A notable statement from this talk: “I cannot see any other sense in that quoted publication [the supposed Third Secret released by the Vatican in 2000] but to hide the disastrous effects and disastrous contents of a council that I do not believe for one minute was a [valid] council and that I do not believe for one minute was [an act of] the [infallible] Magisterium of the Church.”
Fr. Hesse answers the very logical question: It is quite obvious that the published Third Secret is not the actual (or at least full) Third Secret. Why is there not more of an outcry among priests, religious, and lay faithful?

Hermann 'Hesse's Erstes Paradies' lag in Gaienhofen am Bodensee. Dieser Film ist jenen ereignisreichen, höchst kreativen Jahren am Bodensee zwischen 1904 und 1912 gewidmet. Er heftet sich sozusagen an die Kneipp-Sandalen Hermann Hesses in jener wesentlichen Lebens- und Schaffensphase des Dichters, dessen Stern dabei ist, aufzugehen. Wir wollen der Frage nachgehen, was Hesse und die Mutter seiner Kinder, Maria Bernoulli, nach Gaienhofen zog. Und was sie dazu veranlasste, dieses paradiesische Stück Erde schon nach wenigen Jahren wieder zu verlassen.
Im August 1904 heiratete Hermann Hesse die selbständige Basler Fotografin Maria Bernoulli, die aus der weitverzweigten Familie der Bernoulli stammte. Aus dieser Ehe gingen die drei Söhne Bruno (1905--1999, Kunstmaler, Grafiker), Hans Heinrich (genannt Heiner; 1909--2003, Dekorateur) und Martin (1911--1968, Fotograf) hervor. Ganz im Sinne der Lebensreform zogen er und Mia in das damals sehr abgelegende Dörfchen Gaienhofen auf der Halbinsel Höri am Bodensee und mieteten ein einfaches Bauernhaus ohne fließendes Wasser und Strom, in dem sie drei Jahre lebten. Nach der Geburt des ersten Sohnes Bruno 1905 und der verbesserten finanziellen Lage ließen sie sich von dem Architekt Hans Hindermann im Ort ein modernes Landhaus im Schweizer Reformstil bauen. Dort legten sie einen großen Garten zur Selbstversorgung an. 1909 wurde Heiner und 1911 Martin geboren. Hesse war häufig auf Reisen, Mia mit den Kindern mit dem großen Haus und Garten oft allein.
Die Beziehung der beiden verschlechterte sich und sie verkauften ihr Haus 1912, um nach Bern zu ziehen.Psychische Krisen bei beiden führten zu einem endgültigen Auseinanderleben und zur Scheidung 1923. In Gaienhofen schrieb Hesse seinen zweiten Roman Unterm Rad, 1906 erschienen, in dem er seine Erfahrung aus Schule und Ausbildung einfließen ließ und literarisch verarbeitete. 1907 schloss Hesse sich dem wandernden Dichter und Naturpropheten Gusto Gräser an, zog zeitweise in dessen Grotte „in den Felsen" bei Ascona, die ihm zu seinem „heiligen Land" wurden (vgl. Monte Verità). Hier wurzeln seine Legenden aus der Thebais. Hermann 'Hesse's Erstes Paradies' lag in Gaienhofen am Bodensee. Dieser Film ist jenen ereignisreichen, höchst kreativen Jahren am Bodensee zwischen 1904 und 1912 gewidmet. Er heftet sich sozusagen an die Kneipp-Sandalen Hermann Hesses in jener wesentlichen Lebens- und Schaffensphase des Dichters, dessen Stern dabei ist, aufzugehen. Wir wollen der Frage nachgehen, was Hesse und die Mutter seiner Kinder, Maria Bernoulli, nach Gaienhofen zog. Und was sie dazu veranlasste, dieses paradiesische Stück Erde schon nach wenigen Jahren wieder zu verlassen.
Im August 1904 heiratete Hermann Hesse die selbständige Basler Fotografin Maria Bernoulli, die aus der weitverzweigten Familie der Bernoulli stammte. Aus dieser Ehe gingen die drei Söhne Bruno (1905--1999, Kunstmaler, Grafiker), Hans Heinrich (genannt Heiner; 1909--2003, Dekorateur) und Martin (1911--1968, Fotograf) hervor. Ganz im Sinne der Lebensreform zogen er und Mia in das damals sehr abgelegende Dörfchen Gaienhofen auf der Halbinsel Höri am Bodensee und mieteten ein einfaches Bauernhaus ohne fließendes Wasser und Strom, in dem sie drei Jahre lebten. Nach der Geburt des ersten Sohnes Bruno 1905 und der verbesserten finanziellen Lage ließen sie sich von dem Architekt Hans Hindermann im Ort ein modernes Landhaus im Schweizer Reformstil bauen. Dort legten sie einen großen Garten zur Selbstversorgung an. 1909 wurde Heiner und 1911 Martin geboren. Hesse war häufig auf Reisen, Mia mit den Kindern mit dem großen Haus und Garten oft allein.
Die Beziehung der beiden verschlechterte sich und sie verkauften ihr Haus 1912, um nach Bern zu ziehen.Psychische Krisen bei beiden führten zu einem endgültigen Auseinanderleben und zur Scheidung 1923. In Gaienhofen schrieb Hesse seinen zweiten Roman Unterm Rad, 1906 erschienen, in dem er seine Erfahrung aus Schule und Ausbildung einfließen ließ und literarisch verarbeitete. 1907 schloss Hesse sich dem wandernden Dichter und Naturpropheten Gusto Gräser an, zog zeitweise in dessen Grotte „in den Felsen" bei Ascona, die ihm zu seinem „heiligen Land" wurden (vgl. Monte Verità). Hier wurzeln seine Legenden aus der Thebais. Kastel is the historical bridgehead of Mainz, the capital of the German state Rhineland-Palatinate and is located on the right side of the Rhine river. Kastel faces the historical center of Mainz and the two cities are connected by a road bridge. Kastel is located about one kilometer below today's water mouth of the river Main into the Rhine.
In its long history Kastel repeatedly belonged to Mainz and was formally incorporated on 1 April 1908. Since Mainz was part of the French occupation zone (formed after World War II) and Kastel was part of the American occupation zone, the Americans ordained that Kastel should be part of the administration of Wiesbaden. Ever since 25 July 1945, Kastel belongs to the Hessian state capital Wiesbaden.

The train is powered by the weight of water and gravity, which takes one unit down the hill, while at the same time pulling a second unit up the hill. Water is taken on at the top and released at the bottom, thus creating a weight differentiation.

Art historian Georg Dehio (1850--1932), inspirator of the modern discipline of historic preservation, described the park as "possibly the most grandiose combination of landscape and architecture that the Baroque dared anywhere" The area of the park is 2.4 square kilometres (590 acres), making it the largest European hillside park, and second largest park on a mountain slope in the world. Construction of the Bergpark, or "mountain park", began in 1696 and took about 150 years.
With its water gardens and its statue of Hercules, Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe (hillside park Wilhelmshöhe) in the west of the Hessian city of Kassel is an outstanding masterpiece of the self-dramatization of absolutist rulers. A special sightseeing tip for Germany travelers. Its exceptional topographical setting on the slope of a hill in Habichtswald forest made it possible for generations of rulers and master builders to stage the seemingly impossible: water flowing down the hill in several different artistic forms without previously having been channeled up the slope using technical devices such as aqueducts or water raising machinery.
The octagonal building at the top of the mountain is crowned with an 8.3 meter copy of the Hercules Farnese. The constructional solution reached in its creation represents the very best in technical and artistic terms for this kind of monumental figure. The fact that it was to be positioned on top of a 40-meter pyramid meant the sculpture needed to be as light as possible.

The constructional solution reached in its creation represents the very best in technical and artistic terms for this kind of monumental figure. The fact that it was to be positioned on top of a 40-meter pyramid meant the sculpture needed to be as light as possible.
