The Lake District, also known as The Lakes or Lakeland, is a mountainous region in North West England. A popular holiday destination, it is famous for its lakes, forests and mountains (or fells) and its associations with the early 19th century writings of William Wordsworth and the other Lake Poets.
Historically split between Cumberland, Westmorland and Lancashire, the Lake District is now entirely in Cumbria. All the land in England higher than 3,000 ft (910 m) above sea level lies within the National Park, including Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England. It also contains the deepest and longest lakes in England, Wastwater and Windermere.
The Lake District National Park includes nearly all of the Lake District, though the town of Kendal and the Lakeland Peninsulas are currently outside the park boundary.
The area, which was designated a national park on 9 May 1951 (less than a month after the first UK national park designation — the Peak District), is the most visited national park in the United Kingdom with 15.8 million annual visitors and more than 23 million annual day visits, the largest of the thirteen national parks in England and Wales, and the second largest in the UK after the Cairngorms. Its aim is to protect the landscape by restricting unwelcome change by industry or commerce. Most of the land in the park is in private ownership, with about 55% registered as agricultural land. Landowners include:

Keswick Town Centre, Lake District.
Keswick is a market town and civil parish within the Borough of Allerdale in Cumbria, England. It is situated just north of Derwent Water, and a short distance from Bassenthwaite Lake, both in the Lake District National Park. Keswick is on the A66 road linking Workington and Penrith, as well as the A591 road, linking it to Windermere, Kendal and to Carlisle (via the A595 road). It lies within the historic county boundaries of Cumberland. This video features views around the town centre and by Derwent Water, including Otley Road, Keswick Mining Museum, the town centre shops, pubs and general architecture, the pedestrianised streets, many tourists, bunting over the roads, the Bank Tavern, Sweet temptations, the Tourist Information Centre, the Old Keswickian fish and chip shop, the Moot Hall...
Keswick is surrounded by the most peacefull valleys and wild but beautiful lakes. Stunning scenery provides the most wonderful walking.
On the 5th December 2015 Borrowdale had the most rain ever in the uk in a 24 hour period. Keswick has its worse floods ever on record. I had no footage of the aftermath as this was people homes and livelyhoods. Keswick community came together like never before friends were made and scores were settled. I am proud to say I am part of this community and long may it stay like that.

One of those amazing mornings in the English Lake District, walking the dog. I love being amongst cloud inversions, which we often get above Derwent Water. The views from Catbells must be amongst the best in the world! Luckily I had my drone with me this fine morning, as well as my photography equipment. Have a look at my 360 degree drone view high above the clouds. Viva a vida
O teu sonho, tua fantasia
Viva sua vida
Eu vou na frente
Pra quebrar essa corrente
Que segura essa gente
Que não deixa ela crescer
Eu falo alto só pra ver se ela me escuta
É todo dia nessa luta
Mais um dia eu vou vencer...
O vento soprando em meu rosto
É bom...
No fim do horizonte eu vejo o sol
Você tem que deixar de mentir
Acreditar na cultura do nosso país
Pois aqui eu tenho a natureza,
Eu tenho a natureza
Eu sou congueiro, batuqueiro
Sou guerreiro, sou da Barra do Jucu...
