A passing satellite, left, share the sky with a swift Perseid, right, early on Aug ... There are LOTS of satellites and airplanes plying the night sky from dusk until dawn ... ASTRO BOB.

As you might guess, transits are infrequent because both the moon and sun are small targets in the sky ... During the 1-second time exposure the Starlink satellites “stretch” into dashes ...
