[City of Whittier] Condor Heil Rapid Rail

It hasn't been too recently that another video was posted of the City of Whittier's yellow & gray trucks. This video features a Heil Rapid Rail on a Freightliner or Sterling Condor chassis picking up regular waste on a Monday morning this past Winter. In a more recent return to the city, I ran into the same driver again and told him that I would have the video up this weekend because it had been a long time since I filmed his truck before. For those who are new to seeing Whittier videos on YouTube, the city collects their own trash on the west side of town, while private contractor, Consolidated Disposal (Republic), picks up the recyclables & green waste. Consolidated collects all three streams on the east side of the city, and one small portion is contracted to Waste Management. Since the recording of this video, the city has decided to move forward with contracting their trash service out to a private hauler within the next few years. They are currently waiting for their agreement with Consolidated to end on June 30, 2016. Comment, rate, and look forward to some 300 gallon collection this fall. Volvo WX64 Single Axle Heil Rapid Rail

this isn't what i would call my most professional video, but this is one of my favorite videos. I had a lot of fun filming this truck, and if you watch the video all the way through to the end I think you'll see why. This truck was extremely hard to film since all the houses were really far apart and since the driver loves to back up. I got what I could, and I'm extremely happy with how everything came out. As you can see, this truck is an Ex-prescott truck. The dump/undump cylinder on this truck is pretty warn out and doesnt like to stay where it should be so that why the grippers turn at an angle. Its not actually the driver doing that on purpose. Hopefully BPD fixes that soon. I'm sure it gets annoying really fast. Curbside Disposal: Pete 320 / Heil Rapid Rail Garbage Truck

Curbside Recycling & Disposal is another smaller hauler based here in Phoenix. Many of you know one of their manual routes from Legodude's videos, but I'm sure many of you didn't know if they operate quite a few ASLs and have a pretty decent hold on the Phoenix commercial market. Their ASL includes this (obviously) ex-Scottsdale 320 RR, an ex-San Antonio Python, and several ex-Phoenix RRs on 320s and Volvos. I've always been wanting to film their ASL routes but ever since passing their trucks on the freeway every time I film with Andrew, my desire to find their routes intensified quite a bit. Their current automated service area includes New River, Cave Creek, Carefree, Laveen, Rio Verde, Unincorp Scottsdale and Phoenix. They used to have a pretty decent share of the Fountain Hills market with Arizona Sanitation and the late Rubbish Solutions before the town controversially selected Republic to be the lone hauler, diminishing Curbside's and AZS's routes and eliminating Rubbish Solutions. Funny how I found this too, I'd been searching for this truck for two hours by this point and finally ran into Area Disposal on their recycling run and followed him to this street only to see this truck come roaring around the corner. From what I can tell there's no super obvious way to tell trash from recycling carts, although it seems the trend is if it has a Curbside sticker it's recycling unless it's an old D&J; cart, then it's trash, or grey body with grey lid (brown is trash), anything 64 gallons is recycling, and any old ABCO carts are recycling. Hope you enjoy the video, this is the product of a two-hour long search of the area and another two hours of following him along this scattered route. I followed him until his last can. ***READ DESCRIPTION!!! *** WATCH IN HD TOO!!! *** STAY TUNED FOR PART 2!!!*** Sorry for the not so good shots. Look on Google Maps. The alleys here are only wide enough for a 300 gal container on one side and the truck takes up the rest of the space with only a few inches to spare. I recorded about 30 minutes of this guy + another Rapid Rail on Green Waste, so I'm gonna do this in a few parts. I saw this truck and saw the clouds of smoke coming out the top and realized it was their old Condor Rapid Rail Diesel, which I think they will end up replacing in a few months or even sooner if someone reports the smog quality coming out of this thing. You would think that a nice town like Beverly Hills would have a nicer fleet. Anyway, I have ton s more footage of this truck and another Autocar Rapid Rail which was on green waste (where I filmed the hopper shots) so i will be posting vids of those soon. This truck must have packed out at least a million times, especially since Kirk and I put all the extra boxes and crap left behind in the allies into the 300 gal tubs. It was awesome seeing how much this medium sized truck could pack and how easily it could. Enjoy the growl, whine, and clouds of smoke from this awesome truck! Redwood Empire Disposal (North Bay Corp): Volvo WXLL Split Heil Rapid Rail

Here was the only truck I managed to find on my NorCal trip this summer. Since we only stayed the weekend, and left on Monday, it was hard for me to find any WM or C&S; in Ukiah. As some of you may know I saw this truck AS I was driving up on Friday through Santa Rosa. Although North Bay Corp is famous for their Heil Durapack Pythons, they still have 2 or 3 Rapid Rails left, and this Volvo WXLL is one of them! Still outfitted with old rims, the former Redwood Empire Disposal signboard, and a grille in terrible condition (lol), this truck made for a great video, although I did have to run quite a lot to catch up with him because the houses were quite far spread. The driver, however, was probably the nicest I have ever run into during my career of filming. He was friendly right off the bat - waved at me in my first shot, and even waited to let me run up ahead of him to get my next shot. Although we talked a bit, I didn't get his name :(. I hope you guys still look past the fact that this truck didn't revved as many would have liked it too, but rather realize that the Volvo WXLL chassis is slowly fading out around the country, being replaced by Autocar, etc. Leave a like and a comment to show your support!! City of Glendale's "New Old" WXLL Rapid Rail (100th Upload!)

I present my 100th video on my channel! Featured here is a CNG powered Heil Rapid Rail on an older Autocar WXLL chassis. After talking with the driver, I found out that sadly all of Glendale's Volvo WXLL Rapid Rails are all gone, leaving a 100% CNG fleet for residential collection (with the exception of a diesel Volvo WXLL used for collecting rolloffs at the Glendale Galleria. I actually saw the Volvo while trying to find an ASL, but it was already heading to the dump. The reason I made this title with the term "newish old" is because of multiple reasons....the old painted rims paired with the tires, the Autocar lacking the back corner windows but still with the new style grille, the skinny Rapid Rail arm, yet while all being powered by CNG. Also notice the different colored grippers (probably not original to this truck). The driver even told me this was one of their oldest "new" trucks. The driver was nice, but after 10 min of me following him he asked me to stop, which I found a little odd. Nonetheless, enjoy the video as well as Glendale's old style Toters! Heading to Camelot, when we spotted a truck in front of us! So we followed it onto a street where it stopped and did a body lift. I thought it was 2672, since that's the truck that normally collects yard waste on this small Tuesday route in Anaheim, but it was 2669! When I was coming home from school that day I saw two garbage trucks still running in my neighborhood, so I went out and got some footage (seen in "After School Footage 9/4/15"). After filming 2671, I went the opposite way of it and turned left where 992 parked. I quickly noticed 2677 down the street parked. Then it went up to where 992 parked. Both drivers talked, and then they went their seperate ways. Unfortunately all the yard waste carts around the area they were in were empty, so I just got it driving to the area in my neighborhood that still had the yard waste carts full. Hope you enjoy! The videos and photo were taken at 3:03 P.M., 3:05 P.M., 3:09 P.M., and 3:10 P.M. with an iPad Mini. Also, something cool about 2677, is that it has two blue stripes going across the cab. No other Disposal Services paint scheme truck has that.

Although this truck is kind of slow, the hard revving and nostalgia more than made up for it. This is a former City of Avondale truck (actually, they both are - last clip is their other RR). Only truck not filmed in this fleet is their 320 Curbtender. Filming this really brings back the days when Phoenix ran their old Volvo RR's, as did Tempe and Gilbert and of course other west side cities that I never saw. Thanks to the driver and enjoy!

This video shows the four classes of DART trains in operation in downtown Dublin and along the cliffs of Dublin Bay between Dalkey & Killiney in September 2014. The railway is 5 foot 3 inch gauge (Irish standard gauge) with 1500V DC overhead wires. The 8100 class are two car EMUs comprising a driving power car and a driving trailer. The 8500, 8510 & 8520 classes are 4 car units with the middle two cars being power cars. Only the 8520 class is air-conditioned. All four classes are seen in action together with video shot inside and from the trains.

The Metro Rail Project, once completed will transform Hyderabad as the preferred city in India; with integrated urban transport planning using inter modal connectivity and convenient sky-walks, which will mark the beginning of an era of seamless commuting in India. The Hyderabad Metro Rail Network will cover a total distance of around 72 Km across three corridors: Corridor I : Miyapur to LB Nagar Corridor II : JBS to Falaknuma Corridor III : Nagole to Shilparamam The Project will be integrated with existing railway stations, suburban railway network (MMTS) and bus stations to ensure seamless and comfortable travel. Project Highlights • An elevated Metro Rail, with 2 tracks (up and down lines) on a deck erected on pillars in the central median of the road, without obstructing the road traffic. • Adequate parking space and circulating areas to be provided for multi modal commute • The proposed rail will have a maximum speed of 80 kmph, the average speed of the trains will be around 34 kmph- an international standard for MRT systems. • The travel time by Metro Rail from one end to another will be as such: • 45 minutes for Corridor 1 (Miyapur-L.B. Nagar- 28.87 KM) as against 1 hr 44 minutes by road. • 22 minutes for Corridor 2 (Jubilee Bus Station- Falaknuma-14.78 Km) as against 1 hr 10 minutes by road • 39 minutes for Corridor 3 (Nagole-Shilparamam-27.51 KM) as against 1 hr 26 minutes by road. • Rails will of course be continuously welded in order to lessen the noise levels. • Different categories of aesthetic stations are being designed to reflect the local architecture. As far as possible, parking and circulation areas will be developed on nearby government lands. • Coaches will be air-conditioned with automatic door closures and many other safety features. • Eco-friendly travel mode that will reduce air as well as noise pollution in the city terminals. She serves on the Advisory Board of the U.S. High Speed Rail Association, the only organization in the United States focused entirely on advancing a state-of-the-art national high speed rail network across the country. She also is a member of the Advisory Board of the USC Ross Minority Program in Real Estate. Prior to co-founding ELP Advisors, she was the Executive Director of the Urban Land Institute, Los Angeles District Council (ULI LA).
