I still cannot believe it when I look at this picture that I can say to myself I CLIMBED THIS FUCKING mountain!! 9,000 feet and TREACHEROUS. Easily one of the hardest things I have ever had to do in my entire life. (I took videos and will post vlog when i get back) I woke up 2 days ago, was enjoying the beautiful view of the snow covered Alborz mountains and started listening to 'Moonsorrow - Sankaritarina.' Towards the middle of the song something clicked inside me that just said "I'm gonna climb this mountain today." I left my house at 10am and on a whim decided I was going to climb it, No equipment or even hiking boots. At the begining I was so pumped up!! Blasting music and hiking fast with the wind blowing in my face AMAZING. 3 hours into it I was completely out of water and started to get tired. After another hour I finally reached snow and filled my 1 liter bottle with snow. 6 hours into the hike I was dehydrated, my head started hurting REAL BAD, sore as shit, blisters, it was FREEZING, and I was seriously considering turning around but Moonsorrow, Ensiferum, Arkona, and Conquest wouldnt let me. The mountain was almost verticle at points and I had to be as cautious as I could since I didnt have hikinh boots or any gear. 8 hours in I finally was 100 yards from the top and sprinted as fast as i could to the top. Wow what an incredible feeling of accomplishment, it was all worth it. I felt like a new person on a whole new level. BUT I HAD NO IDEA about the nightmare which awaited me....THE WAY DOWN WOULD BE 1000X HARDER. I must have slipped 100 times, i fell on sharp rocks,thorns,ice,everything. i had to be MUCH MUCH more catious because if I slipped once I would be fucked. Everything on me hurt, I COMPLETELY regretted doing this, I just wanted to be home. my body couldnt take it anymore and i was losing my fucking mind. Everytime i got closer i realized how fucking far I really was. It was now 7pm and soon the sun would set. I saw on previous nights wild dogs and wolves roaming the streets so i HAD TO GET FUCKING HOME QUICK. I tried using my phone to call 911 or 110 to get some help but nothing worked. 2 hours later it was 9pm but i could still see in front of me because it was a semi full moon and a cloudless night. My mouth was dry as fuck and all my muscles were cramping. I FINALLY got to the bottom where there was a river and WENT NUTS! I must have drank a good gallon of river water. Now that my thirst was quenched I had 1 more obstacle. crossing the fucking river. There wasnt a bridge for miles so i decided id walk across no big deal. at first it was ankle deep then BOOM all of a sudden i was almost waist deep!! after a little struggle i finally made it to the other side. I went up to random people and asked for them to gimme a ride for some $$ but they all refused (so much for persian hospitality) until one really nice family drove me close to my home. I walked in the house and DROPPED. Everyone was pissed at me, my aunt had called the cops, 2 of my cousins were looking for me and i had caused havoc. But i was finally home safe. what the fuck was i thinking? I was calling myself an idiot I totally regretted it. the next day i woke up early to soak in the beautiful view, but this time it was 1000x more beautiful because the mountains i set my eyes on in front of me are ones that I conquered!!!
