The Eiffel Tower has been one of my goals for quite a while. Plan A for the Tower was to buy tickets to the second platform & climb out of one of the stairways. This immediately failed as it was just too busy. We didn't really have a plan B so we decided to commit to climbing right up the side from the ground & see what happens. We started the climb at 1AM narrowly avoiding the patrolling security (which seemed more like the French army as they were in full camo & had massive guns) & wormed our way through what seemed like endless CCTV cameras. Once we reached about 20 meters up the side of the tower it appeared we'd made it through what would normally be the riskiest part of any climb. As far as I could tell, the tower was ours for the night. After slowly making our way up through the framework of the Tower, we finally reached the top platform which was fully lit up. This is where we should have probably stopped but my curiosity got the better of me. I unlocked the door, slowly crept in and was immediately hit with the sound of a walkie talkie going absolutely mental in French. It was clear we'd been spotted so we legged it down a few stories & found a couple of holes inside the framework that we had no choice but to hide in. Hours went by with security going up & down with torches & they even turned on all of the towers lights during their search. The lights finally went off and the tower was ours again so we began the wait for sunrise. After a few more hours playing around on the tower workers & tourists started coming up in the lifts. We were spotted again around 9AM so we climbed down & met with security. We were handcuffed & taken to the local police station where we were held & questioned for around 6 hours before being released without charges (I also had to promise them I wouldn't climb it again for 3 years). I can now officially tick the Eiffel Tower off my list :)

Marina 101... This is by far the tallest structure I've climbed so far... I later found out that it's the tallest residential building in the world. Crazy, huh? It took me about an hour and a half to get to the roof of the building using the crane to get up the first 50 meters or so. It was then about an hour of stairs while trying not to die of dehydration. It was the warmest/driest building I've ever come across and I only had a small bottle of water with me. I came across a few workers on the way up who wished me a good day and shook my hand. The workers in Dubai seem to mostly be from India and are some of the nicest people I've ever met. When I reached the rooftop the sun still hadn't risen so I had a bit of time to explore the place and take some pictures. The crane that runs up the side of the building must be somewhere over the 450 meter mark as the building itself is officially set at 426 meters and the crane arm sits above it by quite a distance. Put it this way... you'd be dead if you fell off the top of the crane and landed on top of the building. It started to get lighter so I climbed up to the backside of the crane. This is the part where the cranes counterweights are located and I stayed there for about 10 minutes taking in the view and watching the sun creep over the dusty horizon. Out of nowhere the crane fired up and things started twisting and moving. I had no idea what was going on so I climbed back down to where the crane drivers cabin was to see if I could see anyone. Turns out the crane driver had managed to get up the crane and into the cabin without neither of us seeing each other haha. I gently knocked on his door and poked my head round so I didn't scare the guy, we had a nice little chat and he actually let me climb to the end of the cranes arm which is something that would never happen in most other countries! I then made my way up to the tip of the cranes arm. It was pretty steep and was completely covered in grease/dust as it had been there for so many years. It was the slipperiest crane I've ever been on... parts of it were like ice! I finally reached the top and as you can see, the view was incredible. This Tower which I climed a few weeks ago is the highest church spire in the world.
During the climb I didn't damage anything. They dind't even notice I was up there.
The video was filmed with a GoPro 3+.
Unfortunately it wasn't possible to get to the top. The shots are still pretty good, enjoy the view.

Six athletes compete on six super hard problems set by the climbers themselves. Jimmy Webb, Daniel Woods, and Dave Graham represented the US, with Nalle Hukkataival, Anthony Gullsten, and Ilari Kelloniemi representing Finland. Jimmy Webb took the eventual top spot, with Nalle Hukkataival and Anthony Gullsten in second and third respectively.

Ashima Shiraishi is 14 years old. She's also the first woman and youngest climber of either gender to climb a sport route with a difficulty grade of 9a+ (5.15a). We spent a day with her in New York City as she discussed her ambitions and embarrassed grown men in the gym.

The Eiffel Tower has been one of my goals for quite a while. Plan A for the Tower was to buy tickets to the second platform & climb out of one of the stairways. This immediately failed as it was just too busy. We didn't really have a plan B so we decided to commit to climbing right up the side from the ground & see what happens. We started the climb at 1AM narrowly avoiding the patrolling security (which seemed more like the French army as they were in full camo & had massive guns) & wormed our way through what seemed like endless CCTV cameras. Once we reached about 20 meters up the side of the tower it appeared we'd made it through what would normally be the riskiest part of any climb. Marina 101... This is by far the tallest structure I've climbed so far... I later found out that it's the tallest residential building in the world. Crazy, huh? It took me about an hour and a half to get to the roof of the building using the crane to get up the first 50 meters or so. It was then about an hour of stairs while trying not to die of dehydration. It was the warmest/driest building I've ever come across and I only had a small bottle of water with me. I came across a few workers on the way up who wished me a good day and shook my hand. The workers in Dubai seem to mostly be from India and are some of the nicest people I've ever met. When I reached the rooftop the sun still hadn't risen so I had a bit of time to explore the place and take some pictures. The crane that runs up the ... -

Climbing huge chimney in Pitesti
This video shows me "free solo" climbing the second tallest structure in Romania: Chimney at CET Pitesti SUD (280m) ! The chimney has 6 floors. The first 5 don't have a railing anymore and are very deteriorated so I split the climb in 4 sections, by altitude: 1) 0m - 20m : there is no metal ladder but only some electrical cables hanging... 2) 21m - 55m : the ladder does not have protective cage. 3) 55m - 275m : the ladder has protective cage but no place to sit down. 4) 275m - 280m (TOP) : the ladder, again, has no protective cage and the last 3 meters of it are not secured to the tower which makes it unstable. The Eiffel Tower has been one of my goals for quite a while. Plan A for the Tower was to buy tickets to the second platform & climb out of one of the stairways....
The Eiffel Tower has been one of my goals for quite a while. Plan A for the Tower was to buy tickets to the second platform & climb out of one of the stairways. This immediately failed as it was just too busy. We didn't really have a plan B so we decided to commit to climbing right up the side from the ground & see what happens. We started the climb at 1AM narrowly avoiding the patrolling security (which seemed more like the French army as they were in full camo & had massive guns) & wormed our way through what seemed like endless CCTV cameras. Once we reached about 20 meters up the side of the tower it appeared we'd made it through what would normally be the riskiest part of any climb. As far as I could tell, the tower was ours for the night. After slowly making our way up through the framework of the Tower, we finally reached the top platform which was fully lit up. This is where we should have probably stopped but my curiosity got the better of me. I unlocked the door, slowly crept in and was immediately hit with the sound of a walkie talkie going absolutely mental in French. It was clear we'd been spotted so we legged it down a few stories & found a couple of holes inside the framework that we had no choice but to hide in. Hours went by with security going up & down with torches & they even turned on all of the towers lights during their search. The lights finally went off and the tower was ours again so we began the wait for sunrise. After a few more hours playing around on the tower workers & tourists started coming up in the lifts. We were spotted again around 9AM so we climbed down & met with security. We were handcuffed & taken to the local police station where we were held & questioned for around 6 hours before being released without charges (I also had to promise them I wouldn't climb it again for 3 years). I can now officially tick the Eiffel Tower off my list :)

Marina 101... This is by far the tallest structure I've climbed so far... I later found out that it's the tallest residential building in the world. Crazy, huh? It took me about an hour and a half to get to the roof of the building using the crane to get up the first 50 meters or so. It was then about an hour of stairs while trying not to die of dehydration. It was the warmest/driest building I've ever come across and I only had a small bottle of water with me. I came across a few workers on the way up who wished me a good day and shook my hand. The workers in Dubai seem to mostly be from India and are some of the nicest people I've ever met. When I reached the rooftop the sun still hadn't risen so I had a bit of time to explore the place and take some pictures. The crane that runs up the side of the building must be somewhere over the 450 meter mark as the building itself is officially set at 426 meters and the crane arm sits above it by quite a distance. Put it this way... you'd be dead if you fell off the top of the crane and landed on top of the building. It started to get lighter so I climbed up to the backside of the crane. This is the part where the cranes counterweights are located and I stayed there for about 10 minutes taking in the view and watching the sun creep over the dusty horizon. Out of nowhere the crane fired up and things started twisting and moving. I had no idea what was going on so I climbed back down to where the crane drivers cabin was to see if I could see anyone. Turns out the crane driver had managed to get up the crane and into the cabin without neither of us seeing each other haha. I gently knocked on his door and poked my head round so I didn't scare the guy, we had a nice little chat and he actually let me climb to the end of the cranes arm which is something that would never happen in most other countries! I then made my way up to the tip of the cranes arm. It was pretty steep and was completely covered in grease/dust as it had been there for so many years. It was the slipperiest crane I've ever been on... parts of it were like ice! I finally reached the top and as you can see, the view was incredible. Stay tuned for the climb down as Ill be releasing it soon along with a few more stories!

This Tower which I climed a few weeks ago is the highest church spire in the world.
During the climb I didn't damage anything. They dind't even notice I was up there.
The video was filmed with a GoPro 3+.
Unfortunately it wasn't possible to get to the top. The shots are still pretty good, enjoy the view.
Im video seht ihr den welthöchsten Kirchturm, ich bin vor ein paar wochenhochgeklettert, wichtig ist das ich nichts beschädigt habe bei der Aktion und alles so hinterlassen habe das es nicht mal jemanden aufgefallen ist das ich dort war, gefilmt wurde mit einer goprohero3+

First we've got a beautiful video of French climbing legend Arnaud Petit changing the rules at Ceuse, one of France and World's most famous sport climbing crags. He climbs the enourmous, 65 metre long 8b Black Bean but decides to ignore the bolts which lead up the route and instead climbs it only on natural protection.
Next, we've got a video from way back in the 1980's showing what is without doubt the strangest rock climb in the World. It's British climber Johnny Dawes masterpiece, The Quarryman, which virtually defies grading and has still only seen a handful of repeats. Professional rock climber Sasha DiGiulian and climbing partner Eduard Martin Garcia successfully ascended one of the hardest multi-pitch climbs in the world, tackling the 330 meter (1,082 ft) seven pitch climb known as “Viaje de los Locos” on the Italian island of Sardinia in the Gola di Gorropu National Park.
DiGiulian, 21, is the first female to ever to tackle this route, and with partner Garcia, only the second team in history to send it. It was originally climbed in 2002 by Dani Andrada and Dani Dulac and has not been repeated since.

Chimney at CET Pitesti SUD (280m) !
The chimney has 6 floors. The first 5 don't have a railing anymore and are very deteriorated so I split the climb in 4 sections, by altitude:
1) 0m - 20m : there is no metal ladder but only some electrical cables hanging...
2) 21m - 55m : the ladder does not have protective cage.
3) 55m - 275m : the ladder has protective cage but no place to sit down.
4) 275m - 280m (TOP) : the ladder, again, has no protective cage and the last 3 meters of it are not secured to the tower which makes it unstable.
Please understand that by climbing this chimney you put yourself/others in danger.
Don't try it unless you really know what you are doing!!!

This is the first time out on the bike this season when I didn't have to drive a number of hours away from home to ride. I have a few shots here of some hill climbs of varied difficulty. Trust me that all this stuff is much steeper, rockier, and more difficult when viewed in person. Thanks for watching. -
Sunny Folding Climbing Stepper
This is my personal opinion on the product sunny folding climbing stepper. You can get more information on Amazon-US: http://bit.ly/1XDmgM4 it is an inexpensive stair climber, easy to put works well enough for me, bought it to help supplement my winter program. It has 12 settings for resistance. I only am on 3 or 4, but still a good workout for 20 or so minutes, then go on to walk or weights, etc. I am also working with my kid who neurological/motor issues. It is kind of a challenge, to find stuff for to improve strength and balance. She uses this, too, and we started at doing '10 each time, throughout the day. She's 33 session and does a few the plus other activities that buidling & balance. I recommend it. It's not might need someone to hold it while insert the cotter pins. probably it... -

After tagging the summit of Half Dome via "the Regular Northwest Face", Ryan Eubank and Voltaire Valle were ready for their ascent of "The Nose of El Capitan..."
Or so they thought, until one slip of the foot and a devastating injury brought it all to a screeching halt. One year later, with cameras rolling, their determination was once again put to the test.
