Loren Hal Bouchard (born October 10, 1969) is an American cartoonist, animator, voice actor, screenwriter, producer, television director, and composer. He is best known for several animated TV shows and as a co-creator of Home Movies (along with Brendon Small). He is also the creator of Bob's Burgers and Lucy, The Daughter of the Devil.
Bouchard was born in New York City to a Jewish mother and Catholic father. He grew up in Medford, Massachusetts.
A high school dropout, Bouchard was working as a bartender in 1993 when he bumped into a former grade school teacher of his, Tom Snyder, who asked if Bouchard was still drawing, and offered Bouchard a chance to work on a few animated short films Snyder was making. The shorts developed into Bouchard's first series, Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, which he produced. He credits Jonathan Katz, H. Jon Benjamin, and Tom Snyder as major influences.Dr. Katz ran for six seasons, from 1995-2000. He also produced one season of Science Court, another animated show made by Soup2Nuts.
Bob's Burgers is an American animated sitcom created by Loren Bouchard for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series centers on the Belchers—parents Bob and Linda, and their children Tina, Gene, and Louise—who run a hamburger restaurant. The family was conceived by Bouchard after he developed Home Movies.
Since its debut on January 9, 2011, the series has broadcast 95 episodes. While reviews for the first season were mixed, feedback for subsequent seasons has been much more positive. After the first season, Bento Box Entertainment was replaced by Wilo Productions and Buck & Millie Productions. All seasons are produced and distributed in association with 20th Century Fox Television and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment. The series premiere, "Human Flesh", drew in 9.38 million viewers, making it the highest-rated series premiere of the season and also finished 9th in the ratings for the week it aired. Reruns began airing on Cartoon Network's late night adult programming block Adult Swim on June 23, 2013, and began airing in syndication on local stations in September 2015.
James Thomas "Jim" Dauterive is an American animation producer and writer. He was the executive producer and writer of several episodes of the animated series King of the Hill, and later developed and wrote for the Fox series Bob's Burgers.King of the Hill's Bill Dauterive is named after him.
Dauterive joined King of the Hill as a writer at its inception in 1996. He wrote multiple episodes, including: "Strangeness on a Train", "The Redneck on Rainey Street", "Glen Peggy Glen Ross", "To Sirloin with Love" (co-writer), "What Happens at the National Propane Gas Convention in Memphis Stays at the National Propane Gas Convention in Memphis", "The Son That Got Away", "The Company Man", "Snow Job" (co-writer), "Junkie Business", "Nine Pretty Darn Angry Men", "Hank's Cowboy Movie", "A Beer Can Named Desire", "Church Hopping", "The Trouble with Gribbles", "Hanky Panky" and "The Perils of Polling".
