The God Makers cartoon might have been titled Mormonism Made Easy to parody other popular Pro MORmON video whitewashes of Mormon history & strange doctrine. The fact is foundational Mormon Doctrines, twisted as they are, were never more readily / simply explained, demonstrated & exposed than in the God Makers Cartoon aka "The BANNED Mormon Cartoon". It was LDS INC & MORmONS that
got an injunction against the Second God Makers Video over its allegations of MORmON Pres. Gordon Hinckley having a wild secret life including homosexuality. MORmONS just universally applied that "Banned" connotation to all of the God Makers features including this popular cartoon, in the hope that the label would taint interest in the cartoon. Like so many MORmON actions, this attempt simply backfired! Interest in the cartoon skyrocketed! This video just keeps on going & growing BECAUSE IT IS ACCURATE & EFFECTIVE. Thats not likely to change until the LDS cult is completely rooted out.
LDS Inc & its MORmON members HATE being outed like this. As a former Mormon, I can attest on a FIRST HAND BASIS that the things presented REALLY ARE MORmON doctrine. Maybe you're a former Mormon. A foreman. Maybe you've seen the South Park episode or the Book of Mormon musical. But let me share a few things you still may not know about Mormons.

1. Mormons are Creationists. Sort of.
They have Temple ceremonies in which they act out the Creation story, and it features Adam and Eve, and the idea of a 6-day Creation...
However, they interpret "6 days" as 6 periods of large amounts of time. 6 "creative periods." Hell, they might have been billions of years! (https://www.lds.org/manual/doctrines-of-the-gospel-student-manual/chapter-7-the-creation?lang=eng)
That's how most Mormons think.
That said, some still believe Adam and Eve emerged from the Garden of Eden several thousand years ago. That's when normal mortal humans began living on Earth.
And I should point out that canonized Mormon scripture clearly states the Earth is just 7,000 years old (https://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/77.6). But practicing Mormons don't necessarily believe that.
2) Mormons believe there were 7 major prophets.
In other words, God revealed his perfect Gospel to a man at least 7 times. To Adam, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and then Joseph Smith. And since Jesus was so amazing, Joseph Smith is like super Amazing.

3) Mormons know where the Garden of Eden was. It's in Missouri.
Obviously.
And when Jesus returns, he's going to build a city there called "New Jerusalem" and it'll be his capital.
4) Mormons believe we're as old as God.
Forget the Christian idea that God is eternal and then created us a few thousand years ago. And forget the idea that humans evolved several millions of years ago.
Mormons believed we've always existed for all eternity. God was just nice enough recently to give us a physical body.
5) Mormons believe we can be Gods.
If you're a faithful servant of God and you do anything He says -- anything -- then after you die, you get to level up!
You'll be resurrected, the universe will obey you, you can create your own world, and you basically get to be a God of sorts.
But that offer only applies if you're baptized as a Mormon, tithe regularly, and don't do anything gay.
Oh. And women? This only applies to you if you're married. And since more women will get to heaven then men, it just makes sense that men can marry more than one woman.
And if you don't make it to the Celestial Kingdom, which is one of the three possible Heavens, you lose your genitals.
Only people who get into the top-level Heaven get to stay married and make spirit babies.
6) God lives near the planet Kolob.
Yeah. Kolob is the name of the star nearest to the planet God actually lives on. After all, God is just someone who leveled-up a long time ago. In a galaxy far far away.

The Book of Abraham is an 1835 work produced by Joseph Smith that he said was based on Egyptian papyri purchased from a traveling mummy exhibition. According to Smith, the book was "a translation of some ancient records ... purporting to be the writings of Abraham, while he was in Egypt, called the Book of Abraham, written by his own hand, upon papyrus". Smith's translation of the papyri describes a story of Abraham's early life, including a vision of the cosmos.
The work was canonized in 1880 by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) as part of its Pearl of Great Price. Thus, it forms a doctrinal foundation for the LDS Church and Mormon fundamentalist denominations of the Latter Day Saint movement. It is not considered to be a religious text by the Community of Christ. Other sects in the Latter Day Saint movement have various opinions regarding the Book of Abraham, with some rejecting and some accepting the text as inspired scripture. The book contains several doctrines that are unique to Mormonism, such as the concept of God organizing eternal, pre-existing elements to create the universe instead of creating it ex nihilo.
The Book of Abraham papyri were thought lost in the 1871 Great Chicago Fire. However, in 1966 several fragments of the papyri were found in the archives of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and in the LDS Church archives. They are now referred to as the Joseph Smith Papyri. Upon examination by professional Mormon and non-Mormon Egyptologists, the papyri were found to bear no resemblance to Joseph Smith's interpretation, and were common Egyptian funerary texts, dating to about the first century BC. As a result, the Book of Abraham has been the source of significant controversy, with Mormon apologists offering a variety of explanations as to the reason for the differences.

Mormonism is the religion practiced by Mormons, and is the predominant religious tradition of the Latter Day Saint movement. This movement was founded by Joseph Smith, Jr. beginning in the 1820s as a form of Christian primitivism. The Book of Abraham is an 1835 work produced by Joseph Smith that he said was based on Egyptian papyri purchased from a traveling mummy exhibition. According to Smith, the book was "a translation of some ancient records ... purporting to be the writings of Abraham, while he was in Egypt, called the Book of Abraham, written by his own hand, upon papyrus". Smith's translation of the papyri describes a story of Abraham's early life, including a vision of the cosmos. The work was canonized in 1880 by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) as part of its Pearl of Great Price. Thus, it forms a doctrinal foundation for the LDS Church and Mormon fundamentalist denominations of the Latter Day Saint movement. It is not considered to be a religious text by the Community of Christ. Other sects in the Latter Day Saint movement have various opinions regarding the Book of Abraham, with some rejecting and some accepting the text as inspired scripture. The book contains several doctrines that are unique to Mormonism, such as the concept of God organizing eternal, pre-existing elements to create the universe instead of creating it ex nihilo. The Book of Abraham papyri were thought lost in the 1871 Great Chicago Fire. However, in 1966 several fragments of the papyri were found in the archives of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and in the LDS Church archives. They are now referred to as the Joseph Smith Papyri. Upon examination by professional Mormon and non-Mormon Egyptologists, the papyri were found to bear no resemblance to Joseph Smith's interpretation, and were common Egyptian funerary texts, dating to about the first century BC. The God Makers cartoon might have been titled Mormonism Made Easy to parody other popular Pro MORmON video whitewashes of Mormon history & strange doctrine. The fact is foundational Mormon Doctrines, twisted as they are, were never more readily / simply explained, demonstrated & exposed than in the God Makers Cartoon aka "The BANNED Mormon Cartoon". It was LDS INC & MORmONS that
got an injunction against the Second God Makers Video over its allegations of MORmON Pres. Gordon Hinckley having a wild secret life including homosexuality. MORmONS just universally applied that "Banned" connotation to all of the God Makers features including this popular cartoon, in the hope that the label would taint interest in the cartoon. Like so many MORmON actions, this attempt simply backfired! Interest in the cartoon skyrocketed! This video just keeps on going & growing BECAUSE IT IS ACCURATE & EFFECTIVE. Thats not likely to change until the LDS cult is completely rooted out.
LDS Inc & its MORmON members HATE being outed like this. As a former Mormon, I can attest on a FIRST HAND BASIS that the things presented REALLY ARE MORmON doctrine. This IS the doctrinal message that LDS INC's MORmONMESSAGES channel would put out if they could tell the truth & stand behind what they really teach. & yet when someone else does it for them MORmONS howl with objections. The God Makers cartoon might have been titled Mormonism Made Easy to parody other popular Pro MORmON video whitewashes of Mormon history & strange doctrine. The fact is foundational Mormon Doctrines, twisted as they are, were never more readily / simply explained, demonstrated & exposed than in the God Makers Cartoon aka "The BANNED Mormon Cartoon". It was LDS INC & MORmONS that
got an injunction against the Second God Makers Video over its allegations of MORmON Pres. Gordon Hinckley having a wild secret life including homosexuality. MORmONS just universally applied that "Banned" connotation to all of the God Makers features including this popular cartoon, in the hope that the label would taint interest in the cartoon. 1. Mormons are Creationists. Sort of.
They have Temple ceremonies in which they act out the Creation story, and it features Adam and Eve, and the idea of a 6-day Creation...
However, they interpret "6 days" as 6 periods of large amounts of time. 6 "creative periods." Hell, they might have been billions of years! (https://www.lds.org/manual/doctrines-of-the-gospel-student-manual/chapter-7-the-creation?lang=eng)
That's how most Mormons think.
That said, some still believe Adam and Eve emerged from the Garden of Eden several thousand years ago. That's when normal mortal humans began living on Earth.
And I should point out that canonized Mormon scripture clearly states the Earth is just 7,000 years old (https://www.lds.org/scriptures/dc-testament/dc/77.6). But practicing Mormons don't necessarily believe that.
2) Mormons believe there were 7 major prophets.
In other words, God revealed his perfect Gospel to a man at least 7 times. To Adam, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and then Joseph Smith. And since Jesus was so amazing, Joseph Smith is like super Amazing.
In fact, Smith once said he was better than Jesus because Jesus couldn't keep a church together. (https://carm.org/joseph-smith-boasted)
3) Mormons know where the Garden of Eden was. It's in Missouri.
Obviously.
And when Jesus returns, he's going to build a city there called "New Jerusalem" and it'll be his capital.
4) Mormons believe we're as old as God.
Forget the Christian idea that God is eternal and then created us a few thousand years ago. And forget the idea that humans evolved several millions of years ago.
Mormons believed we've always existed for all eternity. God was just nice enough recently to give us a physical body.
5) Mormons believe we can be Gods.
If you're a faithful servant of God and you do anything He says -- anything -- then after you die, you get to level up!
You'll be resurrected, the universe will obey you, you can create your own world, and you basically get to be a God of sorts.
But that offer only applies if you're baptized as a Mormon, tithe regularly, and don't do anything gay.
Oh. And women? This only applies to you if you're married. And since more women will get to heaven then men, it just makes sense that men can marry more than one woman.
And if you don't make it to the Celestial Kingdom, which is one of the three possible Heavens, you lose your genitals.
Only people who get into the top-level Heaven get to stay married and make spirit babies.
6) God lives near the planet Kolob.
Yeah. Kolob is the name of the star nearest to the planet God actually lives on. After all, God is just someone who leveled-up a long time ago. In a galaxy far far away.

According to Smith, the book was "a translation of some ancient records ... purporting to be the writings of Abraham, while he was in Egypt, called the Book of Abraham, written by his own hand, upon papyrus". Smith's translation of the papyri describes a story of Abraham's early life, including a vision of the cosmos.
The work was canonized in 1880 by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) as part of its Pearl of Great Price. Thus, it forms a doctrinal foundation for the LDS Church and Mormon fundamentalist denominations of the Latter Day Saint movement. It is not considered to be a religious text by the Community of Christ. Other sects in the Latter Day Saint movement have various opinions regarding the Book of Abraham, with some rejecting and some accepting the text as inspired scripture. The book contains several doctrines that are unique to Mormonism, such as the concept of God organizing eternal, pre-existing elements to create the universe instead of creating it ex nihilo.
The Book of Abraham papyri were thought lost in the 1871 Great Chicago Fire. However, in 1966 several fragments of the papyri were found in the archives of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and in the LDS Church archives. They are now referred to as the Joseph Smith Papyri. Upon examination by professional Mormon and non-Mormon Egyptologists, the papyri were found to bear no resemblance to Joseph Smith's interpretation, and were common Egyptian funerary texts, dating to about the first century BC. Other sects in the Latter Day Saint movement have various opinions regarding the Book of Abraham, with some rejecting and some accepting the text as inspired scripture. The book contains several doctrines that are unique to Mormonism, such as the concept of God organizing eternal, pre-existing elements to create the universe instead of creating it ex nihilo.
The Book of Abraham papyri were thought lost in the 1871 Great Chicago Fire. However, in 1966 several fragments of the papyri were found in the archives of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and in the LDS Church archives. They are now referred to as the Joseph Smith Papyri. Upon examination by professional Mormon and non-Mormon Egyptologists, the papyri were found to bear no resemblance to Joseph Smith's interpretation, and were common Egyptian funerary texts, dating to about the first century BC. As a result, the Book of Abraham has been the source of significant controversy, with Mormon apologists offering a variety of explanations as to the reason for the differences.
