Tribute to a Bad Man is a 1956 western film starring James Cagney about a rancher whose harsh enforcement of frontier justice alienates the woman he loves. It was directed by Robert Wise and based on the short story "Hanging's for the Lucky" by Jack Schaefer, the author of Shane.
Rustlers rob horses belonging to wealthy Wyoming rancher Jeremy Rodock and shoot him. He is found by young cowboy Steve Miller, who digs out the bullet, saves Rodock's life and is offered a job at the ranch.
Rodock believes in lynching rustlers personally without arrest or trial. His wrangler McNulty describes it as "a hanging sickness" to Rodock's woman, Jocasta Constantine, a former dance-hall girl ashamed of her past.
McNulty makes a pass at Jo. A jealous and suspicious Rodock sees them leave a barn together and jumps to the wrong conclusion. He fires McNulty, then beats him viciously before ordering him off the ranch.
Rodock sets out to find the men who stole his stock and murdered Whitey, a ranch hand. He rides to former partner Peterson's spread and demands to know if Peterson and son Lars were involved. They deny it, but Rodock soon comes to believe that Peterson and partners Hearn and Barjak are the thieves. He kills Peterson and hangs Hearn.

MOVIE MAGAZINE #1 Peter Noble (?) sits behind a desk with a pen in his hand. He says: "Everyone it seems, likes a Western." He then reviews "Comanche". He has quite strong ideas about who is right and wrong in this tale of the Wild West saying that the American Indian tribe "did nothing but bring fear and pillage to the Americans trying to settle in..." Dana Andrews plays an American scout who helps the American Army to "put down" the American tribes. Noble summarises the plot - making it sound like a rather traditional Western - mentioning the female star Linda (or Lynda) Crystal (or Krystal?) - not mentioned in "Halliwell's" cast list, to be checked (could be Linda Christian? - SL). Noble says it is "jolly good fast moving stuff." He looks left screen as if awaiting a clip of t...
This is a tribute I made for the movie Zombieland, using Pinnacle Videospin Song is One Bad Man from Left 4 Dead 2, which is a great game you should definitely get if you enjoy co-op multiplayer. As always, enjoy, rate and comment. Thanks for watching.
Rachel Penmark is such a different little girl. So calm, so well-mannered – so deadly. The Bad Seed had been a novel, a Broadway play and a landmark 1956 movie before this film brought the harrowing story of a demented child’s secret trail of violence to a new generation in this chilling 1985 TV movie. Blair Brown (Fringe) heads a stellar cast as Rachel’s gentle mother Christine, who gradually discovers the truth about her psychopathic daughter – and about the horrors of her own forgotten childhood. As Christine fits the puzzle pieces together, tension and menace build into a taut cocoon of overpowering dread. And, unlike the earlier movie, this production includes the original ending, a chilling denouement considered too shocking for ’50s audiences.

Heard this song, Bad Man, by Bobaflex and some of the lyrics reminded me of the TV series Breaking Bad. So decided to put the two in a video blender and hit liquify. Here's the result. Hope you enjoy it!
I have the reputation that's known throughout the land
They say I'm master on the draw of any livin' man
They call me a bad man, they say I kill for fun
They say the only thing I know is how to use a gun
But they don't know the reason they branded me as bad
It started many years ago when I was just a lad
I rode into a cattle town, a boy of twenty-three
So young and yet that very day I carved my destiny
I walked into the town saloon that sad and faithful day
Then I began to gamble to pass the time away
I thought I played a hand or two then hit the thrill again
But Lady Luck was with me and I began to win
The dealer kept on dealin', the stakes were gettin' high
And pretty soon there was no one left but an old cowboy and I
The minutes seemed like hours, you couldn't hear a sound
We've been in race until we'd lay all our money down
The cowboy smiled and showed his hands, three aces he did hold
But I laid down the royal flush and reached to claim my gold
The cowboy stood and faced me, his hands hung on his hips
A look of hate was in his eyes and the smile had left his lips
He said, ?Young man, slap leather, I'm known for miles around
To keep my reputation about I got to gun you down?
White lightnin' speeded through that fire, one life will be the cost
The cowboy crumbled to the floor, his reputation lost
Now years have come and years have gone and many men have died
He's tried his luck and hoped he'd be the fastest gun alive
And in my many fights to live, I wondered if I'd won
I'm known by all the bad men, they think I kill for fun
Someday I'll meet the cowboy who's speed will meet the test
And that will in the saga of the bad man of the west
