Metro Davao, officially called Metropolitan Davao (Tagalog: Kalakhang Dabaw; Cebuano: Kadakhang Dabaw; Spanish/Chabacano:Zona Metropolitana de la Ciudad de Davao), is an agglomeration of Davao City and four surrounding cities: Digos City in Davao del Sur, Tagum City, Panabo City and Samal City in Davao del Norte. The metropolitan area also encompasses two municipalities: Carmen in Davao del Norte and Santa Cruz in Davao del Sur. It is one of twelve defined metropolitan areas in the Philippines, other big ones being Metro Cebu and Metro Manila. However, unlike other metropolitan areas, Metro Davao does not have a formal legal framework, such as a metropolitan development council (although it has a de facto one) to stand on, existing not as a juridical entity but only as an informal reference to the area.
The agglomeration of Metro Davao has no formal legal framework early on its initial stage of development process either by an act of Congress, by an executive declaration of the President or by a formal agreement among component cities and municipalities of the metropolitan area.
Metro Davao is the third capital of the Philippines after Manila and Cebu. It is the center of trade, commerce and industry of southern Philippines. It is th...

Davao Waterfront Insular Hotel. Davao City in Mindanao, is known for being very safe and clean. Shopping, food, taxi's, etc are much cheaper compared to Manila, great place to visit. Also a "no smoking" city. You can only smoke in designated areas, and no littering, or you will be fined.
Travel Tips:
Everyone spoke English and generally very friendly.
Its important to have photo ID for flights, hotels, and if police ask.
Its common for taxi drivers in Manila to try rip you off. Ask them nicely to put the meter on, or negotiate the price from the start if you know what it costs to your location. Otherwise find another taxi!
Shopping mall culture, locals love the mall for the aircon and to get out of the heat.
Locals often inflate prices for foreigners and tourists. Haggle and negotiate nicely. Be tough, but be respectful and polite about it. Shop around, you can often get a better price.
"Tip" can also mean bribe, so don't be afraid to ask what you're paying for upfront. Locals often do things to try help you, but then expect a tip.
The average basic worker earns PHP 300 a day. So tipping PHP 20 - 50 is fine.

Tali Beach House in Nasugbu, Batangas, is a first class province of the Philippines. It's one of the most popular tourist destinations near Metro Manila, about 3-4 hours drive. Beautiful private beach houses in gated communities.
Road trip from Makati Manila to Batangas.
The Tali Beach House.
Private beach.
Boat ride - snorkeling and scuba diving tour. We bought fresh squid from local fishermen.

NAIA Terminal 3 Departure Terminal and Lounge Pasay Metro Manila by HourPhilippines.com
NAIA Terminal 3 Departure Terminal and Lounge Pasay Metro Manila. inoy Aquino International Airport is located along the border between Pasay City and Parañaque City in Metro Manila. It is about 7 kilometers (4 miles) south of the country's capital Manila, and southwest of Makati City's Central Business District.
There are 4 terminals:
Terminal 1: NAIA Terminal - International flights, non-Philippine Airlines
Terminal 2: Centennial Terminal - All Philippine Airlines flights only (North wing International, South wing Domestic)
Terminal 3: NAIA International Terminal - International flights (Air Philippines, Cebu Pacific, PAL Express)
Terminal 4 Previously Domestic Terminal - All domestic flights other than Philippine Airlines, now Air Asia International Flights
Officially, NAIA is the only airport serving the Manila area. However, in practice, both NAIA and Clark International Airport, located in the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga serve the Manila area, with Clark catering mostly to low-cost carriers that avail themselves of the lower landing fees than those charged at NAIA. In the long term Clark is set to replace NAIA as the primary airport of the Philippines. In 2009 the airport saw growth of 11.4% to 24.1 million passengers. In 2010, NAIA carried 27.1 million passengers, making it to the top 50 of the world's busiest airports by passenger traffic. In 2011, all terminals at NAIA handled a record breaking annual passenger traffic of 29,552,264 making it as one of the busiest airports in Asia and in 2012, NAIA also became the 34th busiest airport in the world, passenger volume increased to about 8% to a total of 32.1 million passengers.

B Adventures, Travel Series: Philippines 2013, Season 1, Episode 2 of 26. Guide, tips, and advice.
Exploring Makati City, Manila. Makati is a popular tourist district, commercial and business area. Plenty of shopping, restaurants and night life.
Exploring Makati:
Street food & locals.
Red Crab restaurant, Greenbelt Mall.
Makati Cinema Square Mall: Airsoft Store, iphone 5 repair, Armscor Shooting Range, & The Oriental Restaurant.
Philippines has a gun culture and shooting sports are popular, and accepted like any other sports activity.
Local massage parlour on Burgos Street
Regarding the street people in Makati Manila, I bought many of them rice and stir fry dinners and clean drinking water. I interviewed a few of them off camera and they all confirmed they had come to that area for the holiday and tourist season to try beg for money from foreigners. They were there by choice, and went back to their provinces after new years.

Shibuya (渋谷区 Shibuya-ku?) is a special ward in Tokyo, Japan.
As of 2008, it has an estimated population of 208,371 and a population density of 13,540 people per km². The total area is 15.11 km².
The name "Shibuya" is also used to refer to the shopping district which surrounds Shibuya Station, one of Tokyo's busiest railway stations. This area is known as one of the fashion centers of Japan, particularly for young people, and as a major nightlife area.
Shibuya was historically the site of a castle in which the Shibuya family resided from the 11th century through the Edo period. Following the opening of the Yamanote Line in 1885, Shibuya began to emerge as a railway terminal for southwestern Tokyo and eventually as a major commercial and entertainment center.
The village of Shibuya was incorporated in 1889 by the merger of the villages of Kami-Shibuya, Naka-Shibuya and Shimo-Shibuya within Minami-Toshima County (Toyotama County from 1896). The village covered the territory of modern-day Shibuya Station area as well as the Hiroo, Daikanyama, Aoyama and Ebisu areas. Shibuya became a town in 1909. The town of Shibuya merged with the neighboring towns of Sendagaya (which included the modern Sendagaya, Harajuku and Jingumae areas) and Yoyohata (which included the modern Yoyogi and Hatagaya areas) to form Shibuya Ward of Tokyo City in 1932. Tokyo City became Tokyo Metropolis in 1943, and the present-day special ward was established on March 15, 1947.
The Tokyu Toyoko Line opened in 1932, making Shibuya a key terminal between Tokyo and Yokohama, and was joined by the forerunner of the Keio Inokashira Line in 1933 and the forerunner of the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line in 1938. One of the best-known stories concerning Shibuya is the story of Hachikō, a dog who waited on his late master at Shibuya Station every day from 1923 to 1935, eventually becoming a national celebrity for his loyalty. A statue of Hachikō was built adjacent to the station, and the surrounding Hachikō Square is now the most popular meeting point in the area.
During the occupation of Japan, Yoyogi Park was used as a housing compound for U.S. personnel known as "Washington Heights." Shibuya (渋谷区 Shibuya-ku?) is a special ward in Tokyo, Japan.
During the occupation of Japan, Yoyogi Park was used as a housing compound for U.S. personnel known as "Washington Heights." The US military left in 1964, and much of the park was repurposed as venues for the 1964 Summer Olympics. The ward itself served as part of the athletics 50 km walk and marathon course during the 1964 games.
