Paris (i/ˈpærɨs/; French: [paʁi] ( listen)) is the capital and largest city of France. It is situated on the river Seine, in northern France, at the heart of the Île-de-France region (or Paris Region, French: Région parisienne). As of January 2008 the city of Paris, within its administrative limits (the 20 arrondissements) largely unchanged since 1860, has an estimated population of 2,211,297 and a metropolitan population of 12,089,098, and is one of the most populated metropolitan areas in Europe. It hosts the headquarters of many international organizations such as UNESCO, the OECD, the International Chamber of Commerce or the European Space Agency. Paris is considered one of the greenest and most liveable cities in Europe. It is also one of the most expensive.
John Bel Edwards (born 1966 in Amite, Louisiana) is a Democratic member of the Louisiana House of Representatives, representing the 72nd District since 2008.
Edwards grew up in Amite, Louisiana, the son of Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff and Edwin Edwards confidant Frank M. Edwards Jr. John Bel Edwards was graduated from Amite High School as Valedictorian and received a bachelor's degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York, in 1988. After a tour in the U.S. Army Edwards returned to Louisiana to receive a law degree from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1999. He is a practicing attorney with the Edwards & Associates Law Firm in Amite. He is the brother of Southeastern Louisiana University mathematician Frank Millard Edwards, chief of police in Independence, Louisiana. as well as Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel H. Edwards, and he is brother-in-law to 21st Judicial District Court Juvenile Judge Blair Edwards (née Downing).
John Bel Edwards faced tough criticism from the local NAACP President Pat Morris, when she thought that, as a district which had been gerrymandered to have an African-American majority, the 72nd district would best be represented by an African American. (As of 2008 the ethnic demographics of the district have existed since the 1970s, but the district has never been represented by an African American.)
Garrett Hamler, (born March 30, 1979, Atlanta, Georgia) better known by his stage name Sean Garrett is an American singer-songwriter, rapper, and record producer. He has produced fifteen number one singles in only seven years of producing music. That number puts him in fifth place on the Billboard list of producers with the most number one hits. Garrett is the first producer to achieve this measure of success in under a decade since George Martin, who produced 20 #1 hits for The Beatles in 6 1/2 years from 1964 to 1970. He is also the only active hip hop producer that is mentioned on the Billboard list of producers with the most number one hits.
Born in south side Atlanta, he moved with his family to Europe when he was four. His father was in the U.S. military and they never stayed long in one place. He transferred between army bases across Germany and England. He performed in talent shows that led to a recording contract with Ariola or BMG when he was 17 ("Sean Garrett - Bio, CDs and Vinyl at Discogs”). A few years later when he returned to the U.S. and began writing and recording songs. Garrett insisted he was an artist, not a songwriter but went back to school, graduated from college with an A.A. degree in business from the University of Maryland’s program in Germany. He then took a job as a mortgage broker in South Carolina.
