Edgware Road
Edgware Road is a major road through north-west London, starting at Marble Arch in the City of Westminster (south end) and running north-west to Edgware in the London Borough of Barnet. It is also a boundary between several North London boroughs. The route has its origins as a Roman road (part of Watling Street) and therefore runs for 10 miles in an almost perfect straight line, which is unusual in London. It is part of the modern A5 road. It undergoes several name changes along its length, including Maida Vale, Kilburn High Road, Shoot Up Hill and Cricklewood Broadway; but the road is, as a whole, known as the Edgware Road, as it is the road to Edgware.
The road
The road runs north-west from Marble Arch to Edgware on the outskirts of London. It crosses the Harrow Road and Marylebone Road, passing beneath the Marylebone flyover. The road passes through the areas of Maida Vale, Kilburn and Cricklewood. It then crosses the North Circular Road before West Hendon at Staples Corner. After this, the road continues in the same direction, through the Hyde, Colindale, Burnt Oak, and then reaches Edgware.

Coordinates: 51°37′07″N 0°16′22″W / 51.6185°N 0.2729°W / 51.6185; -0.2729
Edgware (/ˈɛdʒwɛər/) is a district of North London, mainly in the London Borough of Barnet. Edgware is centred 10 miles (16 km) north-northwest of Charing Cross and has its own commercial centre. Edgware has a generally suburban character, typical of the rural-urban fringe. The community benefits from some elevated woodland on a high ridge marking the Hertfordshire border of gravel and sand. Edgware is identified in the London Plan as one of the capital's 35 major centres. In 2011, Edgware had a population of 76,056. Edgware is principally a shopping and residential area and one of the northern termini of the Northern line. It has a bus garage, a shopping centre called the Broadwalk, a library, a hospital—Edgware Community Hospital, and two streams—Edgware Brook and Deans Brook, both tributaries of a small brook known as Silk Stream, which in turn merges with the River Brent at Brent Reservoir.
History
Edgware succeeds to the identity of the ancient parish in the county of Middlesex. Edgware is a Saxon name meaning Ecgi's weir. Ecgi was a Saxon and the weir relates to a pond where Ecgi's people caught fish. Edgware parish formed part of Hendon Rural District from 1894. It was abolished in 1931 and formed part of the Municipal Borough of Hendon until 1965. The Romans made pottery at Brockley Hill, thought by some to be the site of Sulloniacis. Canons Park, to the north-west, was developed as an estate by James Brydges, 1st Duke of Chandos and was the site of his great palace Cannons.

Keeping up with my winter and spring travel plans, I finally made it to back to LONDON! On my last few days in in town I got to chill with my girl Love Fleurette in gritty Shoreditch (east London). We hit up Box Park for Ibiza Rocks, Blues Kitchen, did some vintage shopping and even filmed a collab video (posted to both our channels). I ended this trip hanging out with my Royal Holloway Uni friends on Edgware Road eating fantastic Indian food, sipping tea and partaking in some shisha. Keeping up with my winter and spring travel plans, I finally made it to back to LONDON! On my last few days in in town I got to chill with my girl Love Fleurette in gritty Shoreditch (east London). We hit up Box Park for Ibiza Rocks, Blues Kitchen, did some vintage shopping and even filmed a collab video (posted to both our channels).
I ended this trip hanging out with my Royal Holloway Uni friends on Edgware Road eating fantastic Indian food, sipping tea and partaking in some shisha.

내가 찾은 곳은 오래된 오디오를 전문으로 파는 매장. 요즘 나온 첨단 제품은 우리나라에도 많기 때문에 일부러 이곳을 찾았다. 3-40년 전 유행했던 리시버와 앰프들. 마란치와 켄우드, 쿼드와 탄노이. 이름만 들어도 그 시절의 따뜻한 음식이 들려 올 것만 같다. 빈티지 오디오가 영국 사람들의 사랑을 받고 있는 이유는 무엇일까? “영국 사람들의 특징 중 하나는 그들이 물건을 버리지 않는다는 점이다. 오래도록 가지고 있어야 하는 국민성이 있죠. 그렇게 가지고 있다 보면 물건의 가치가 오르기도 합니다.” 방송국 엔지니어 출신인 토니씨는 직접 수리해서 매장의 모든 제품이 작동이 된다고 자랑한다. 토니씨의 창고에는 CD보다는 LP에 어울리는 제품이 더 많다. “70년대의 소리에 익숙한 사람들이라면 LP세대(바이널맨)이라고 할 수 있습니다. 한 아티스트의 앨범을 CD로 들을 수도 있지만 비닐로 만든 레코드로 듣는 소리가 한층 따뜻하고, 더 실제와 같은 느낌이 나죠. CD에서는 들리지 않는 소리가 LP에서는 들리기도 한답니다.” 토니씨가 나에게 들려준다며 LP를 들고 나왔다. “바이널 사운드는 CD와 다릅니다.” 해상도나 현장감이 아주 좋다. 디지털이 아무리 좋아도 음악을 드는 우리 귀는 아날로그이기 때문일거란 생각이 든다.
