Cardell Hayes Indicted/LA Budget Desperation/Other News

Cardell Hayes was indicted by a grand jury on April 16 which is 19 days after he was arrested. Apparently, Hayes was switched to Grand Jury without the knowledge of his attorney and the police report was the only document presented as evidence. A witness has come forward and said that she saw Billy Cerevolo remove a gun from Will Smith's vehicle during the investigation of the scene but Cerevolo of course denies that. The reports say that Will Smith was shot 7 times in the back and once in the side. The reports also say that the glass was shattered from the collision of Hayes's Hummer on Smith's Mercedes. Hayes's gun was the only one investigated at the scene as well. My suspicion of all this is that someone wanted Will Smith dead and they needed a patsy. With Cerevolo's involvement with the murder of Anthony Hayes, Cardell's father, the story couldn't be more perfect to spin. My question is why? John Bel Edwards is so desperate to create revenue and fix this shortfall, he's considering cutting state worker's raises next year. With all the tax increases he passed, and with a lot of our reserve funds depleted, Bel is in a tricky situation. They are debating going into Constitutional Convention, and probably planning to meet with legislators soon on a revision or serious rework or Louisiana's constitution. Since post-Katrina, The Recovery School District took over oversight of the Orleans Parish School System and has basically made it a non profit, non elected system run by whoever the Board saw fit. Now after 10 and a half years, the Orleans Parish School Board is being put back in place to oversee the Orleans Parish School System but the new conditions aren't quite to their liking. The school are set to run just like they have and the Charter program isn't going away any time soon. They still operate to this day. The School Board is basically just set up as a body to reference or complain to if there are future problems or concerns with education, which at that poin they probably will say "There's nothing we can do about it" And now there's another teacher in St. Martinville accused of sleeping with a 15 year old student. My message to the parents is, know who is teaching your child. The Louisiana State Government is considering adding additional conditions for prescribing Medical Marijuana for certain patients. Under the current law, Glaucoma, spastic quadriplegia, and symptoms stemming from chemotherapy are the only medical conditions covered. HIV/AIDS, cachexia, seizure disorders, epilepsy, Crohn’s syndrome, muscular dystrophy and multiple sclerosis are the new conditions listed in the Senate Bill. Now the real reason I shared this article is to show the wording about how they prescribe the plant in other states. They "recommend" the plant are treatment for certain symptoms rather than "prescribe" the drug to skirt federal oversight.
