Roberts is a consumer electronics limited company now based in Mexborough, South Yorkshire, England. It has been producing radios for over 80 years. Initially the company only traded in the United Kingdom, but now exports worldwide. The company was initially based in central London, near Oxford Circus and then at Rathbone Place, but moved to East Molesey in 1941. In 1962, the company had a purpose-built factory constructed in West Molesey, and still retains premises in the area. The company has been granted three Royal warrants in its own right, and one via the purchase of Dynatron Radio Ltd, in 1981.
The company was founded in 1932 by Harry Roberts and Leslie Bidmead
They financed the down payment on a small factory by selling Bidmead's motorbike.
The first models featured a distinctive Aladdin's lamp fretwork loudspeaker grille, but by the late 1930s the company had settled on an upright box shape set covered in coloured leathercloth with fabric loudspeaker grille - a style that they would keep to and evolve slowly with each progressive model.

Radio is the use of radio waves is to carry information, such as sound, by systematically modulating some property of electromagnetic energy waves transmitted through space, such as their amplitude, frequency, phase, or pulse width. When radio waves strike an electrical conductor, the oscillating fields induce an alternating current in the conductor. The information in the waves can be extracted and transformed back into its original form.
Radio systems need a transmitter to modulate (change) some property of the energy produced to impress a signal on it, for example using amplitude modulation or angle modulation (which can be frequency modulation or phase modulation). Radio systems also need an antenna to convert electric currents into radio waves, and vice versa. An antenna can be used for both transmitting and receiving. The electrical resonance of tuned circuits in radios allow individual stations to be selected. The electromagnetic wave is intercepted by a tuned receiving antenna. A radio receiver receives its input from an antenna and converts it into a form usable for the consumer, such as sound, pictures, digital data, measurement values, navigational positions, etc. Radio frequencies occupy the range from a 3 kHz to 300 GHz, although commercially important uses of radio use only a small part of this spectrum.
This is much more than a radio. It streams music from your music collection from your computer and also you can stream from Spotify. You can also play music from your USB Memory stick as well as listening to internet radio stations or DAB and FM. A nice retro looking radio from the 1950's but with modern features. Enjoy!

After some detailed market research I have bought the Roberts Radio Ecologic 4 DAB radio from John Lewis here in the UK. I am delighted by the radio and cannot fault the service from John Lewis. This new radio is truly portable and so I have installed my favourite Ansmann rechargeable batteries to complete the perfect package.
**THIS RADIO IS NOW FOR SALE AT WWW.RADIOCRUNCHER.COM** Have a look at my new Patreon page https://patreon.com/radiocruncher I bought this radio as not working. I suspected that someone had reversed the polarity as a lot of the more modern Roberts radios use a 9v DC power supply with a negative centre pin. A lot of off the shelf power supplies are positive centre pins. Reversing the polarity will kill one of these dead! Watch along as I get to solving the problem. https://patreon.com/radiocruncher Have a look at my new website http://radiocruncher.com

I bought this DAB/FM radio mostly for listening to sports when I am out walking and for listening to on night shufts at work. I mainly listen to sports or news and some of the stations are only on DAB. I read a lot of reviews before deciding on this one and of course it was the most expensive. I am really happy with it though,it's small enough to fit in a pocket and is great to look at and the sound out of the small speaker on the front is good. The instruction manual is an easy read and covers everything on how to get the best out of the radio. I forgot to mention in my video that the LCD screen can be dimmed or even go off on a timer, also the radio itself can be set to shut down at a chosen time. I had to charge the radio before i used it,there was a small bit of power in the lithium ba...

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge came in to the studios and surprised Radio 1's Adele, who is taking part in the London Marathon for charity Heads Together. They also spoke to Scott and Chris about mental health.
It's time to sort the scratchy volume pot out. Watch me struggle to remove it and strip it down. A good clean up and it's ready to go. Christopher Hitchens and Mark D. Roberts on the Hugh Hewitt Radio Show in 2007. Titled "The Great God Debate".
Scott Roberts has been behind several YouTube channels, releasing around 2000 videos, addressing the agenda of organized elites. Many of his videos have been taken down by YT administration. Scott begins with the history of his YouTube channels and the censorship he’s encountered since he began broadcasting videos aimed at unapologetically exposing and dismantling the anti-White agenda. He talks about his awakening to the plot of White genocide. Scott explains how we are being governed by elites that want to destroy White culture, and there would be no Shabbos goy if it weren’t for the Jewish agenda. We consider the PC trend to identify as the oppressed and the psychologically conditioned persecution complex that prevents average people from exploring the hard truths of history. Scott br...
