It's said, that some years ago, such a fortune-teller told the
Burmese military government of a possible foreign attack on their capital "
Yangon". The fortune-teller also forecasted a new capital to rise in Myanmar
- on
November 6th 2005, at precisely 6:37 a.m.
So, in
2002, the military government began to create a new capital in the middle of nowhere -- and in secrecy. The existence of this new mega-city was denied for a long time. On November 6th 2005, at 6:37 a.m., over
1000 military convoys moved the capital from Yangon to the new city of
Naypyidaw.
