Jonathan Serrie has been an Atlanta-based correspondent for Fox News Channel since 2001. He joined the cable network in 1999, working for bureaus in Los Angeles and Seattle.
He covered Operation Allied Force from NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium; Skopje, Republic of Macedonia; and Kačanik, Kosovo. He was stationed in Uzbekistan during the initial phase of Operation Enduring Freedom and traveled into Afghanistan, where he covered the Taliban prison uprising at Kala-i-Jangi near Mazar-i-Sharif. He later traveled to Kabul to cover the establishment of the post-Taliban government.
Prior to Fox News, Serrie worked as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor for WSB-TV (ABC) in Atlanta (1994–1999), WYFF-TV (NBC) in Greenville, SC (1989–1994), and WWSB-TV (ABC) in Sarasota, FL (1987–1989).
In 1987, Serrie graduated with a BA in English and political science from Emory University in Atlanta. He served as editor-in-chief of the student newspaper The Emory Wheel.
