The Tri-City ValleyCats (often shortened to 'Cats) are a minor league baseball team based in Troy, New York, and the 2010 and 2013 champions of the New York–Penn League (NYPL). The ValleyCats are the Short-Season A classification affiliate of the Houston Astros Major League Baseball club. The name Tri-City is based on the three nearby cities of Albany, Schenectady and Troy, which make up New York State's Capital District. The ValleyCats play at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium which opened in 2002 on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College located in Troy. They compete in the Stedler Division with the Vermont Lake Monsters, Connecticut Tigers, and Lowell Spinners.
Prior to their arrival in Troy, the club was based first in Little Falls, New York, as the Little Falls Mets from 1977 to 1988, and then in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, as the Pittsfield Mets (1989 to 2000), and Pittsfield Astros (2001).
The ValleyCats played their first game on the road in Lowell, Massachusetts, on Tuesday, June 18, 2002, against their rival the Lowell Spinners. The Spinners had a 3–1 lead going into the 8th inning, but a triple by Aneudi Cuevas down the right field line drove in three runs leading the ValleyCats to a 5–4 victory.
The Connecticut Tigers are a minor league baseball team located in Norwich, Connecticut. They are members of the New York–Penn League (NYPL). The Connecticut Tigers are a Short-Season A classification affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and play their home games at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. They were previously known as the Oneonta Tigers.
The Tigers ensure affiliated baseball will stay in Norwich despite the relocation of the former Double-A Eastern League's Connecticut Defenders to Richmond, Virginia, where they are now called the Richmond Flying Squirrels.
This franchise originated in Wellsville, New York as the Wellsville Yankees. From its inception in 1942 until 1965, that team stayed in Wellsville under various names, such as the Wellsville Nitros, Rockets, Senators, Braves, and Red Sox. During its time as a farm club of the New York Yankees, Milwaukee Braves and Boston Red Sox, Wellsville hosted future Major Leaguers such as eventual Hall of Famer Phil Niekro, Jerry Coleman, Tony Conigliaro, Joe Foy, Jim Greengrass, Elrod Hendricks, Charlie Maxwell, Don Nottebart, Bill Robinson and George Scott.
Opening Day is the day on which professional baseball leagues begin their regular season. For Major League Baseball and most of the minor leagues, this day typically falls during the first week of April. For baseball fans, Opening Day serves as a symbol of rebirth; writer Thomas Boswell once penned a book titled, Why Time Begins on Opening Day. Many feel that the occasion represents a newness or a chance to forget last season, in that all 30 of the major league clubs and their millions of fans begin with 0–0 records.
Opening Day festivities extend throughout the sport of baseball, to hundreds of Minor League Baseball franchises as well as to college, high school, youth league fields and in areas far beyond North America. Since Major League Baseball generally starts their season first among professional leagues, their Opening Day is the one most commonly recognized by the general public. Most of the minor leagues start a few days later, but within the same week; the short season Class A and Rookie leagues are exceptions, since they begin play in June. (College, high school and youth baseball seasons vary widely depending on location and weather conditions.) Opening Day ignores the exhibition games played during spring training in the month leading up to Opening Day.

A one camera, hand - held, fairly good concert video of our veteran regional Classics group. The Swampdaddies do a fantastic job of an old Chuck Berry Classic. Swamp does his best ever cover of "Little Wing." They all did a fantastic job covering some Allman Brothers bottleneck masterpieces, featuring Dale's cover of Greg's Vocals and Swamp's coverage of both Dicky and Dwayne parts on one guitar. Bobby and Goose hit Rock Bottom as good as any 2 guys on a stage. Thanks to Randy Alderman for letting the hometown band show their stuff. Only one complaint. Who picked out the songs they played through the P.A. before the Swampdaddies played? It was like pre-show selections for a Partridge Family concert! Really, THE Buckinghams? Their big hit was, "Kind of A Drag." Which pretty well ...

PSN - rubhen925 Twitter - @raijumc Discord Server for the Channel - https://discord.gg/KJjk5U This video will focus on the Cat-tastic Trophy. This trophy is earned for completing the Cat Lady and her 55 cats Quest. There are more than 55 cats in the game to find. With the latest update, patch 1.02, there are over 60 cats. But you only need 55 cats. Mind you specific cats. You can start collecting the cats whenever you want as soon as the game begins but you’ll need to progress through the story a bit before the lady actually gives you the quest. The first thing you need to realize is that there is no map or a tracker to keep track of how many cats you collected in a biome. Lastly I will only be showing you cats that are required or the amount that is required to complete the quest. I’m...

As it turns out, New York's best high school runners can't hold their root beer as they run a mile as well as expected. I apologize if I miss-spelled your name, I did my best, some of you didn't make it easy for me CORRECTION: Nathan Lawler made it through 3 laps + another half a can NOT just two laps as stated. I'd hate to diminish his name in that fashion. Grade A commentary provided by Zach Pinto To the timers, root beer handlers, photographers, and individuals who got the finishes, thank you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alan Walker: Fade [NCS Release] - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bM7SZ5SBzyY Alan Walker ➞ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/alanwalkermu... ➞ SoundCloud https://soundcloud.com/alanwalker ➞ Twitter https://t...
