Synopsis:
This is the story of Sajjala, who is orphaned in childhood. Appakaka, an ex-armyman, who was a dear friend of Sajjala's father, raises her. Her wedding is fixed with Advocate Jayantrao, the son of the landlord. But Ramrao Rank, the cunning & shrewd chieftain of the village can't tolerate it. He convinces the landlord against Sajjala. Instead of getting depressed, Sajjala sends a letter through her loyal and trusted companion Bhalu, and rids Jayantrao of his misunderstanding. Police Inspector Khandekar, who is a friend of Jayantrao reveals the plot of Ramrao. When Jayantrao confronts Ramrao, he refuses shamelessly. Ramrao poisons Jayantrao, but Appakaka is arrested. Jayantrao is on the death-bed. Sumitra, the neice of MLA Pawar, who is a lawyer, accepts the challenge of releasing Appakaka.

Nilu Phule
Nilu Phule (died 13 July 2009) was an Indian actor known for his roles in the Marathi language movies and Marathi theatre. Nilu Phule had acted in around 250 Marathi and Hindi movies during his film career.
Phule was also a social worker, and was associated with Rashtra Seva Dal.
Early life
Nilu Phule was born in 1930 in Pune as Nilkanth Krushnaji Phule to the clan of the great social reformer Mahatma Jyotirao Phule. He is considered one of the greatest actor of Marathi stage/films of all times. He was involved in Freedom movement for India.According to his interview in a serial 'Vastraharan' on a Marathi Channel,he was a freedom fighter from Pune
Phule's first job was that of a gardener at the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, aged 17. He used to get a salary of Rs. 80 per month, out of which, he used to donate Rs. 10 to the Rashtriya Seva Dal, a social organization he was involved with. He wanted to pursue his gardening career forward, but due to lack of financial support, he could not start his own plant nursery. During this time, at the age of 20, Nilu was inspired by Rabindranath Tagore's writings and went on to write a drama, Udyan. His composing for the drama Yedya Gabalache Kam Nahi during the 1957 Lok Sabha elections garnered him fame.

Synopsis:
This is the story of Sajjala, who is orphaned in childhood. Appakaka, an ex-armyman, who was a dear friend of Sajjala's father, raises her. Her wedding is fixed with Advocate Jayantrao, the son of the landlord. But Ramrao Rank, the cunning & shrewd chieftain of the village can't tolerate it. He convinces the landlord against Sajjala. Instead of getting depressed, Sajjala sends a letter through her loyal and trusted companion Bhalu, and rids Jayantrao of his misunderstanding. Police Inspector Khandekar, who is a friend of Jayantrao reveals the plot of Ramrao. When Jayantrao confronts Ramrao, he refuses shamelessly. Ramrao poisons Jayantrao, but Appakaka is arrested. Synopsis: After Sakharam Borade loses in the bullock-cart race to Shankar Patil, he is hostile towards him. Shortly thereafter, Shankar is killed, the Police arrest Sakharam, try him in Court, find him guilty and sentence him to prison for life. While in prison, he learns that his wife, Hansa, has killed herself, leaving an infant, Tara, alone. He does get discharged after 13 years, and returns home and is attacked. Some street performers come to his rescue, and he recuperates with them. But not for long, as Shankar's now grown-up son, Gana, with an axe in his hand, will soon confront him for killing his father.

But Abasaheb changes his tune and demands for heavy dowry from the bride's father. Mr. Raut refuses to pay the dowry which rouses a clash between both the families. Abasaheb had paid a huge dowry during his daughter's (Sheela) wedding and now wants to use this marriage as payback. Maya and Ranjeet however can't live without each other and decide to run away. Synopsis: Kalyani lives a middle-class lifestyle in Daulat Nagar, with her mom and dad, Sindhu Madhav Shastri, who practices medicine. She re-locates to the city, graduates, and returns back to teach as well as be a social worker, for which she is honored by the townspeople. She meets with and falls in love with Sarjerao, the only son of wealthy widower and businessman, Daulatrao Patil. One day she gets the shocking news that Sarjerao has been arrested for sexually molesting a courtesan by the name of Mainabai. Sarjerao is tried in Court, found guilty, and sentenced to a year in prison. After one year he is discharged and returns home to find that his dad has passed away, leaving the business and the estate in the hands of his Accountant, Bhujangrao. When Sarjerao goes to Kalyani, she indicates that she will have nothing to do with him anymore. Stunned by the death of his father, and shunned by his lover, Sarjerao turns to alcohol, patronizing courtesans, and may possibly be arrested and end up in jail again.

Lakshmikant Berde was a legendary actor who appeared in Marathi and Hindi movies Known for his highly energetic slapstick performances, a brilliant sense of timing needed for humor, he has been described as one of the best comedian stars in Marathi movies. Lakshmikant initially started acting in bit roles in Marathi stage plays. Berde made his movie debut with the Marathi movie Lek Chalali Sasarla. Lakshmikant Berde was a legendary actor who appeared in Marathi and Hindi movies Known for his highly energetic slapstick performances, a brilliant sense of timing needed for humor, he has been described as one of the best comedian stars in Marathi movies.
Lakshmikant initially started acting in bit roles in Marathi stage plays. Berde made his movie debut with the Marathi movie Lek Chalali Sasarla. While balancing between Marathi stage plays and movies, Berde got his first brush with the hit Marathi stage play "Tour-Tour". In 1985 he acted as a second lead to Mahesh Kothare in the Marathi movie "De Dana Dan" and then alongside super star Ashok Saraf in "Dhoom Dadaka". Both these movies turned super hits in which Berde established his trademark comedy style making him famous overnight.
In most movies, he starred either alongside director-actor Mahesh Kothare or with director-actor Sachin and Ashok Saraf. The Laxmikant Berde- Ashok Saraf pair is recognized to be the most successful lead actor pairs in Indian cinema. That decade will be best remembered by the Marathi film industry as the "Ashok-Laxya" era. Both actors remained thick friends until Berde passed away
Berde's first Hindi film was Sooraj Barjatya's Maine Pyar Kiya starring Salman Khan in 1989. He kept working as the lead actor in super hit Marathi stage plays like "Shantecha Karta Chalu Aahe" and others.
