Russian draughts
Russian draughts (also known as Shashki or Russian shashki) is a variant of draughts (checkers) played in Russia and some parts of the former USSR, as well as parts of Eastern Europe and Israel. There are several variants of draughts games based on Russian draughts. Amongst the most popular ones is ″Poddavki″ (Misère game), where a player wins if he doesn't have any legal moves on his turn (either by giving up all of his checkers or having them being blocked). Another popular variant is called "Bashni" ("Towers"), where captured pieces are not removed from the game, but placed underneath the capturing piece, forming a "tower".
Rules
As in all draughts variants, Russian draughts is played by two people, on opposite sides of a playing board, alternating moves. One player has dark pieces, and the other has light pieces. Pieces move diagonally and pieces of the opponent are captured by jumping over them.

Moscow Ring Road
The Moscow Automobile Ring Road (Russian: Московская Кольцевая Автомобильная Дорога, Moskovskaya Koltsevaya Avtomobilnaya Doroga), or MKAD (МКАД), is a ring road encircling the parts of the City of Moscow, the capital of Russia. The length of the road is 108.9 km, and the number of exits is 35 (including 10 interchanges).
History
The growth of traffic in and around Moscow in the 1950s made the city planners realise Russia's largest metropolis needed a bypass to redirect incoming traffic from major roads that run through the city. Opened in 1961, the MKAD had four lanes of asphalt running 108.9 kilometres along the city borders. Although not yet a freeway, it featured interchanges at major junctions, very few traffic lights and a speed limit of 100 km/h (62 mph).
For a long time the MKAD served as the administrative boundary of Moscow city, until in the 1980s Moscow started annexing territory outside the beltway. In December 2002 Bulvar Dmitriya Donskogo became the first Moscow Metro station that opened beyond the limits of MKAD.

MKAD (Minsk)
MKAD is the name of the beltway that goes around Minsk, Belarus. The name is an abbreviation that means Minsk Beltway (Belarusian: Мінская кальцавая аўтамабільная дарога, Russian: Минская кольцевая автомобильная дорога). The 56.2 km road straddles the Minsk city limits.
History
Early history
The road was built between 1956 and 1963. In the beginning the road had just one lane in each direction and the width of the roadway was 7.5 meters. Reconstruction began in 1980. The result was 26.8 km with four lanes with the remaining section, 29.4 km, having two lanes.
Recent developments and current conditions
At the end of the 1990s, the road was used by 16,000-18,000 automobiles daily and had level crossings, traffic lights and bus stops. Thus, on August 7, 2001, President Alexander Lukashenko ordered its reconstruction, with the completion due by November 2002.
The decision was met with controversy as the route passed through Kurapaty, north of Minsk, site of a mass grave of victims of the Soviet secret police, the NKVD, during the Great Purge of 1937-1941. Estimates of those murdered there range into the hundreds of thousands, but the site has not been properly investigated or bodies exhumed. Protesters accused Lukashenko, who does not recognize the Kurapaty case and never mentions it in public, of planning to destroy the site and build over the graves of its victims in a deliberate attempt to cover over a Soviet crime against humanity. In 2001, protesters from the Belarusian Popular Front, Zubr and smaller organizations, occupied the site and sat out a bitter winter in tents. Despite international attention, they were unable to stop the construction.

The growth of traffic in and around Moscow in the 1950s made the city planners realize Russia's largest metropolis needed a bypass to redirect incoming traffic from major roads that run through the city. Opened in 1961, the MKAD had four lanes of asphalt running 108.9 kilometers along the city borders. Although not yet a freeway, it featured interchanges at major junctions, very few traffic lights, and a speed limit of 100 km/h (62 mph).
For a long time, the MKAD served as the administrative boundary of Moscow city until in the 1980s Moscow started annexing territory outside the beltway. In December 2002 Bulvar Dmitriya Donskogo became the first Moscow Metro station that opened beyond the limits of MKAD.
In 1995–1999, the road was widened from the initial four to ten lanes, while all intersections became grade-separated, bridges were built to accommodate pedestrians, traffic lights were removed, and a solid concrete barrier was installed in the median. In 2001, all slow-moving vehicles were banned from entering the MKAD, and the renovated road received a freeway designation from the mayor's office.

Federal highway A107 (Moscow small ring road "Betonka" )
This ring road is in Moscow region. It passes through the city: Noginsk, Elektrostal , Bronnitsy, Zvenigorod, Chernogolovka. The length of the road is about 335 km. Kilometer Zero is located at the intersection of Dmitrov highway. Along the highway there are many facilities for defense purposes - the so-called Golden Ring of air defense.
This road was built approx. 70 years ago for transport needs of the military defense of Moscow. It was constructed of several layers of concrete slabs that can support the weight of multi-ton rocket tractors.
The road became popular with the locals. Information about the convenient road spread very quickly. Then the concrete slabs were covered with asphalt, but the name remained the same Betonka or the road made of concrete slabs.
This road is very dangerous, because it has only one lane in each direction. And if you want to overtake a car you must go to the oncoming lane.

Your brain is doing immensely more work unconsciously than you can imagine. Relax and keep getting input.

The growth of traffic in and around Moscow in the 1950s made the city planners realize Russia's largest metropolis needed a bypass to redirect incoming traffic from major roads that run through the city. Opened in 1961, the MKAD had four lanes of asphalt running 108.9 kilometers along the city borders. Although not yet a freeway, it featured interchanges at major junctions, very few traffic lights, and a speed limit of 100 km/h (62 mph).
For a long time, the MKAD served as the administrative boundary of Moscow city until in the 1980s Moscow started annexing territory outside the beltway. In December 2002 Bulvar Dmitriya Donskogo became the first Moscow Metro station that opened beyond the limits of MKAD.
In 1995–1999, the road was widened from the initial four to ten lanes, while all intersections became grade-separated, bridges were built to accommodate pedestrians, traffic lights were removed, and a solid concrete barrier was installed in the median. In 2001, all slow-moving vehicles were banned from entering the MKAD, and the renovated road received a freeway designation from the mayor's office.

Federal highway A107 (Moscow small ring road "Betonka" )
This ring road is in Moscow region. It passes through the city: Noginsk, Elektrostal , Bronnitsy, Zvenigorod, Chernogolovka. The length of the road is about 335 km. Kilometer Zero is located at the intersection of Dmitrov highway. Along the highway there are many facilities for defense purposes - the so-called Golden Ring of air defense.
This road was built approx. 70 years ago for transport needs of the military defense of Moscow. It was constructed of several layers of concrete slabs that can support the weight of multi-ton rocket tractors.
The road became popular with the locals. Information about the convenient road spread very quickly. Then the concrete slabs were covered with asphalt, but the name remained the same Betonka or the road made of concrete slabs.
This road is very dangerous, because it has only one lane in each direction. And if you want to overtake a car you must go to the oncoming lane.

Russian draughts
Russian draughts (also known as Shashki or Russian shashki) is a variant of draughts (checkers) played in Russia and some parts of the former USSR, as well as parts of Eastern Europe and Israel. There are several variants of draughts games based on Russian draughts. Amongst the most popular ones is ″Poddavki″ (Misère game), where a player wins if he doesn't have any legal moves on his turn (either by giving up all of his checkers or having them being blocked). Another popular variant is called "Bashni" ("Towers"), where captured pieces are not removed from the game, but placed underneath the capturing piece, forming a "tower".
Rules
As in all draughts variants, Russian draughts is played by two people, on opposite sides of a playing board, alternating moves. One player has dark pieces, and the other has light pieces. Pieces move diagonally and pieces of the opponent are captured by jumping over them.
