This video shows how to connect Laptop to HDMI TV which supports HDMI 1080p and VGA. See me connect the Toshiba Satellite C55D-A5120 Laptop up to my 37" Vizio Wide Screen LCD TV. My Laptop is running Windows 8 so you can see how to connect Laptop to TV using HDMI Windows 8 & Windows 8.1. Even though I'm using a laptop with Windows 8.1 you can still see how to connect a laptop up to a Wide Screen television using a Windows 7 laptop. Any computer to TV HDMI can be connected using a good quality HDMI cable.
The Toshiba Satellite C55D-A5120 is a 15.6" Windows 8.1 laptop that can handle 1080p HDMI video with ease. It connects to my Vizio 37" flat screen TV with ease. Performance was surprisingly excellent for a $300 laptop that I bought at Walmart.
When using a HDMI cable it becomes very easy to have both video and audio being pushed through one single HDMI cable connection. This becomes great for any business setup for presentations, meetings and/or watching movies for recreation and leisure time. The single HDMI cable connection is far better than using a VGA and audio cable. HDMI gives far better picture and sound quality than a VGA and audio connection.

Required Items:
1) Tablet
2) TV
3) Any unused HDMI port on your TV and a good quality HDMI cable that's" standard to standard", "standard to micro" or "standard to mini" that fits your HDMI port on your tablet.
4) Keep in mind that if you don't have a HDMI connector on your tablet than you will need a standard HDMI cable plus a "USB to standard HDMI adapter".
In essence, if you want to know how to connect your tablet to your TV, my tutorial shows you just what to do to make it happen. The steps you watch in my video on how to connect tablet to tv via hdmi is not the only way to connect your tablet to a TV. You can also do by using wireless Bluetooth and/or casting. An upcoming video will show these methods. But for now HDMI works super!
Some background information:
My Hisense Sero 7 Pro tablet shown in this video is a few years old that I bought at Walmart for around $130.00 but is able to handle 1080p HDMI or 720p HD video with no problems. It has a quad core Nvidia 1.3ghz that pushes video to my new 40" VIZIO E series LED smart TV via HDMI cable effortlessly. It's crisp and clean display 1280 x 800 HD IPS is great for any business setup for presentations, short work projects on airplane trips and watching movies for recreation on leisure time.

I ran into a situation where I was unable to hear any sound from my TV speakers. I was also getting this error message that said my AMD HDMI Digital Output was "Not Plugged In" when it clearly was. This caused the HDMI playback device in sound options to be "greyed out" and I was unable to select it and set it as the default device.
Sometimes updating your sound drivers, or rolling them back can fix any glitches you are having.
After connecting the two devices, it is not uncommon for you to have to restart your computer for Windows to recognize the HDMI output.

Connect Computer to TV With HDMI With AUDIO/Sound
This video will show you how to connect your computer to your television using an HDMI cord. You can use a PC to display audio and video on your TV and watch your favorite videos, movies or simply browse the web. I ran into a situation where I was unable to hear any sound from my TV speakers. I was also getting this error message that said my AMD HDMI Digital Output was "Not Plugged In" when it clearly was. This caused the HDMI playback device in sound options to be "greyed out" and I was unable to select it and set it as the default device. Sometimes updating your sound drivers, or rolling them back can fix any glitches you are having. After connecting the two devices, it is not uncommon for you to have to restart your computer for Windows to recognize the HDMI output. Thanks! -

In essence, if you want to know how to connect your tablet to your TV, my tutorial shows you just what to do to make it happen. The steps you watch in my video on how to connect tablet to tv via hdmi is not the only way to connect your tablet to a TV. You can also do by using wireless Bluetooth and/or casting. An upcoming video will show these methods. But for now HDMI works super!
Some background information:
My Hisense Sero 7 Pro tablet shown in this video is a few years old that I bought at Walmart for around $130.00 but is able to handle 1080p HDMI or 720p HD video with no problems. It has a quad core Nvidia 1.3ghz that pushes video to my new 40" VIZIO E series LED smart TV via HDMI cable effortlessly. It's crisp and clean display 1280 x 800 HD IPS is great for any business setup for presentations, short work projects on airplane trips and watching movies for recreation on leisure time.

4) Keep in mind that if you don't have a HDMI connector on your tablet than you will need a standard HDMI cable plus a "USB to standard HDMI adapter".

This video will show you how to connect your computer to your television using an HDMI cord. You can use a PC to display audio and video on your TV and watch your favorite videos, movies or simply browse the web.
I ran into a situation where I was unable to hear any sound from my TV speakers. I was also getting this error message that said my AMD HDMI Digital Output was "Not Plugged In" when it clearly was. This caused the HDMI playback device in sound options to be "greyed out" and I was unable to select it and set it as the default device.
Sometimes updating your sound drivers, or rolling them back can fix any glitches you are having.
After connecting the two devices, it is not uncommon for you to have to restart your computer for Windows to recognize the HDMI output.

As we look at a closeup you can see we have highlighted the two HDMI ports. Different TVs will have different amounts of HDMI ports. These ports are responsible for taking in audio and video through an HDMI cable from a source such as a blu-ray player, cable box, satellite box or gaming system amongst others. If you are having trouble receiving an image, video or audio from your HDMI port, you can take the source video and test it on a different HDMI port. For example if HDMI port one is not working properly, then you can take the cable and test it in HDMI port two to see if it is working correctly. If the source video works correctly in HDMI port two, but still does not work correctly in HDMI port one, then you know that you have a problem with HDMI port one.
If your HDMI port is bad, it is recommended that you should replace the main board in your TV. You can find your main board part number and then search that number on our website www.shopjimmy.com or you can find your TV model number and then find replacement main boards on our website. If searching by TV model number, you will want to be sure and match the part number on your current main board with the replacement main board on the website.
