Origin of the Egyptians and Predynastic Egypt
In this episode by the History of the World Podcast we are taken back long before the pyramids and before the thought of "Egyptianness" itself into the heart of the Neolithic in ancient Africa and what would become the Egypt that dominates the hearts of history lovers around the world.
Starting in the Neolithic we explore population movements, archaeological findings and possibly the first "race war" in human history that occurred along the Nile possibly due to contact between lighter and darker peoples.
But more importantly we explore the indigenous peoples living in North Africa, those coming in from the Levant, those moving North from Africa itself and how these worlds "collide" and finally we see the beginning of not just ancient Egypt itself but the origins of the Egyptians, the sam...

Economic Home Oil Press Machine| Screw Oil Press Machine| Extract Olive Oil From Olive Beads| How To Extract Olive Oil|
ABOUT VIDEO:
Olive oil is a liquid fat obtained from olives, a traditional tree crop of the Mediterranean Basin, produced by pressing whole olives and extracting the oil. It is commonly used in cooking: for frying foods or as a salad dressing. It can be found in some cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, soaps, and fuels for traditional oil lamps. It also has additional uses in some religions. The olive is one of three core food plants in Mediterranean cuisine; the other two are wheat and grapes. Olive trees have been grown around the Mediterranean since the 8th millennium BC.
The composition of olive oil varies with the cultivar, altitude, time of harvest, and extraction process...

The Secrets of the World’s Oldest Calendar Revealed: The Mesolithic Hunter-Gatherer Time Keepers
If I was to ask you where the oldest calendar in the world was found, where would you say? Some may say somewhere exotic like ancient Babylon or ancient Egypt; others might say don’t know, don’t care – if that that’s you, I’ll see you later; how many would say Scotland however?
Today, I’ve come Warren Field in Aberdeenshire, the site of the oldest calendar in the world. Dating back 10,000 years ago to around 8,000 BC, this Mesolithic monument predates what was previously thought to have been the world’s oldest calendar by around 5,000 years, which was found in Mesopotamia.
The calendar is a series of 12 pits in the shape of a general arc that mimic the phases of the Moon and track the lunar months. There are also three smaller, undated, postholes adjacent to the central, and largest pit (pit number 5). This lunar calendar was also aligned with the Midwinter Sunrise, which worked to calibrate the calendar. Without this calibration, the lunar calendar which inevitably fall out of sync with the seasons as a lunar calendar alone is not an accurate tracker of seasons without some correction

But more importantly we explore the indigenous peoples living in North Africa, those coming in from the Levant, those moving North from Africa itself and how these worlds "collide" and finally we see the beginning of not just ancient Egypt itself but the origins of the Egyptians, the same Egyptians that would form one of the greatest civilizations on earth.
From culture, pottery, society, religion and conflict Chris from the History of the World Podcast covers it all!

The composition of olive oil varies with the cultivar, altitude, time of harvest, and extraction process. It consists mainly of oleic acid (up to 83%), with smaller amounts of other fatty acids including linoleic acid (up to 21%) and palmitic acid (up to 20%). Extra virgin olive oil is required to have no more than 0.8% free acidity and is considered to have favorable flavor characteristics.
Spain accounts for almost half of global olive oil production; other major producers are Portugal, Italy, Tunisia, Greece, Morocco and Turkey Per capita consumption is highest in Greece, followed by Italy and Spain.

ASMR - 3.5 Hours History of Ancient Rome (8th Century BC - 1453 AD)

This long soft spoken sleep story tells you the history of Ancient Rome from its foundation to the fall of Constantinople. It is in 3 parts.
In part 1, I tell you about the origins of Rome, its slow emergence and wars until the 1st Century BC - including the founding of the Republic and the rivalry between the Senate and the plebs, the conquest of Italy, the wars against Carthage, the overseas expansion, figures like Scipio, Marius, Sulla, Pompey and Caesar, and also life, religion, society, urbanism and warfare in Roman antiquity.
In part 2, we go through the campaigns of Caesar, the transformation into an Empire under Augustus, the succession of emperors and the challenges they had to face, as well as the rise and persecution of Christianism until the new religion was adopted, the Roman economy, barbarian invasions, the separation of the empire into two parts and the final collapse of the Western Roman Empire in 476 AD.
In part 3, I take you to the mythical city of Constantinople to explore the history of the Byzantine Empire. As the Western Roman Empire collapsed under invasions, its Eastern counterpart lived on and perpetuated the dream of recreating the Roman Empire during the Middle Ages. This is the story I tell you in this video: I discuss the waves of invaders that Byzantine had to face, from the Huns and the Arabs to the Turks, its culture, politics and society, how it drifted away from the west religiously, leading to the East-West Schism between Roman Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy, and many more things, until the final fall of Constantinople in 1453 AD.
