This video aims to give a good all-round introduction the Jewish calendar. I know many non-Jewish get confused by the Jewish calendar, and by the fact that every year the Jewish holidays fall on a different date of the Gregorian calendar. So I made this introductory level video to get them started.
In this video I explain the basic differences between the Gregorian calendar and the Jewish calendar, and the differences between the Jewish day and the Gregorian day, which I know confuse many.
How I made this video
Production methods
I filmed myself using a Logitech c615 webcam, and its software, I took the raw footage to adobe premier pro, and edited it. I opted not to pay attention to jumpcuts in my edit. Next I took it to adobe after effects, were I continued editing and applying effects.
I used free to use pictures I found on the web, and for animation of our solar system I used the free animations offer in the
MIT astronomy
After that I rendered only the sound in a WAV file format, and took this file for adobe audition software, where I adjusted the sound levels, and deleted background noise. I placed the finished wav file back in the after effect project, and then rendered it in a h.264 format.
How I researched for this video.
My primary source of knowledge comes from the fact that I am an observant Jew, and I practice the very traditions I explained about.

We ALL assumed that the fall feasts were accurately calculated. When we did NOT sight the New Moon for the beginning of the month, we waited and the new moon was sighted two days later.
We continued through the Feasts focused on the Day of Atonement never questioning whether we were a MONTH EARLY based on the biblical method of determining the beginnning of the New Year.

The modern Jewish calendar may be wrong. This video by Bobby Regan shows how the old testament Jews observed the Feast of the Lord by using the vernal & autumnal equinoxes as guides to know when a given feast should begin. Speculation is made based on this theory that the fall feast of the Lord were observed a full month too early for 2015 and this would also include this years Shemitah Day stock market crash as noted below:

COULD GOD BE MORE ABOUT MATHEMATICAL SYMMETRY than He is about dates on the modern (pre-calculated) Jewish calendar?
Consider the following:
Shemitah collapse #1: September 17, 2001 (Elul 29).
Shemitah collapse #2: September 29, 2008 (Elul 29).
Note: there are exactly 2,570 days separating these two collapses.
What happens if we add 2,570 days to the most recent, 2008, collapse?
We arrive at October 13th, 2015.
What is the significance of October 13th, 2015?
Author of Ancient Messianic Festivals, Ken Johnson, writes:
“The easiest way to verify when the REAL festivals and future prophecies will occur is to memorize the dates of the spring and fall equinoxes…. The first new moon following the fall equinox will be… [the Feast of Trumpets].” (p. 12)
The first new moon following the fall equinox in 2015 is October 13th-14th, the date(s) that, according to Johnson, would represent the “real” Feast of Trumpets.
IT GETS EVEN MORE INTERESTING.
The Book of Daniel states:
“From the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven sevens…” (Daniel 9:25 NASB).
What happens if we subtract Daniel’s “seven sevens” (equivalent to 17,640 days) from the October 13th-14th date?
We arrive at June 27th-28th, 1967, the date the Israeli government issued an official “decree” recognizing Jerusalem as the restored capital of Israel.

I originally dismissed the claim of the Hebrew calendar being off by one month. However, when research on it was found on a very conservative and grounded channel, I was shocked to find out it was true...and it's implications on my timeline are stunning.

The Hebrew calendar (הלוח העברי ha'luach ha'ivri), or Jewish calendar, is a lunisolar calendar used today predominantly for Jewish religious observances. It determines the dates for Jewish holidays and the appropriate public reading of Torah portions, yahrzeits (dates to commemorate the death of a relative), and daily Psalm reading, among many ceremonial uses. In Israel, it is an official calendar for civil purposes and provides a time frame for agriculture.
Originally the Hebrew calendar was used by Jews for all daily purposes, but following the conquest of Jerusalem by Pompey in 63 BCE (see also Iudaea province), Jews began additionally following the imperial civil calendar, which was decreed in 45 BCE, for civic matters such as the payment of taxes and dealings with government officials.
The Hebrew calendar has evolved over time. For example, until the Tannaitic period, the months were set by observation of a new crescent moon, with an additional month added every two or three years to keep Passover in the spring, again based on observation of natural events, namely the ripening of the barley crop, the age of the kids lambs and doves, the ripeness of the fruit trees, and the relation to the Tekufah (seasons.) Through the Amoraic period and into the Geonic period, this system was displaced by mathematical rules. The principles and rules appear to have been settled by the time Maimonides compiled the Mishneh Torah in the 12th century.

I believe the current Jewish year (Sept/Oct 2015 - Sept/Oct 2016) is a Jubilee year (Lev 25:8-13) - a very special year following seven sabbatical cycles (seven sevens or 49 years). I believe this Jewish year will be very significant in terms of Bible prophecy. Many events that happened during the beginning of this current Jewish year (September and October 2015) have definitely marked this Jubilee year as a time to be watchful and alert. ... and hopeful. This video examines the ancient method of calculating the start of the Jewish year. I originally posted this video only on my personal website on October 8, 2015. Is the Jewish Calendar Wrong?
I believe the current Jewish year (Sept/Oct 2015 - Sept/Oct 2016) is a Jubilee year (Lev 25:8-13) - a very special year following seven sabbatical cycles (seven sevens or 49 years). I believe this Jewish year will be very significant in terms of Bible prophecy. Many events that happened during the beginning of this current Jewish year (September and October 2015) have definitely marked this Jubilee year as a time to be watchful and alert. ... and hopeful. This video examines the ancient method of calculating the start of the Jewish year. I originally posted this video only on my personal website on October 8, 2015. This video aims to give a good all-round introduction the Jewish calendar. I know many non-Jewish get confused by the Jewish calendar, and by the fact that every year the Jewish holidays fall on a different date of the Gregorian calendar. So I made this introductory level video to get them started.
In this video I explain the basic differences between the Gregorian calendar and the Jewish calendar, and the differences between the Jewish day and the Gregorian day, which I know confuse many.
How I made this video
Production methods
I filmed myself using a Logitech c615 webcam, and its software, I took the raw footage to adobe premier pro, and edited it. I opted not to pay attention to jumpcuts in my edit. Next I took it to adobe after effects, were I continued editing and applying effects.
I used free to use pictures I found on the web, and for animation of our solar system I used the free animations offer in the
MIT astronomy
After that I rendered only the sound in a WAV file format, and took this file for adobe audition software, where I adjusted the sound levels, and deleted background noise. I placed the finished wav file back in the after effect project, and then rendered it in a h.264 format.
How I researched for this video.
My primary source of knowledge comes from the fact that I am an observant Jew, and I practice the very traditions I explained about.

Consider the following:
Shemitah collapse #1: September 17, 2001 (Elul 29).
Shemitah collapse #2: September 29, 2008 (Elul 29).
Note: there are exactly 2,570 days separating these two collapses.
What happens if we add 2,570 days to the most recent, 2008, collapse?
We arrive at October 13th, 2015.
What is the significance of October 13th, 2015?
Author of Ancient Messianic Festivals, Ken Johnson, writes:
“The easiest way to verify when the REAL festivals and future prophecies will occur is to memorize the dates of the spring and fall equinoxes…. The first new moon following the fall equinox will be… [the Feast of Trumpets].” (p. 12)
The first new moon following the fall equinox in 2015 is October 13th-14th, the date(s) that, according to Johnson, would represent the “real” Feast of Trumpets.
IT GETS EVEN MORE INTERESTING.
The Book of Daniel states:
“From the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven sevens…” (Daniel 9:25 NASB).
What happens if we subtract Daniel’s “seven sevens” (equivalent to 17,640 days) from the October 13th-14th date?
We arrive at June 27th-28th, 1967, the date the Israeli government issued an official “decree” recognizing Jerusalem as the restored capital of Israel.

I believe the current Jewish year (Sept/Oct 2015 - Sept/Oct 2016) is a Jubilee year (Lev 25:8-13) - a very special year following seven sabbatical cycles (seven sevens or 49 years). I believe this Jewish year will be very significant in terms of Bible prophecy. Many events that happened during the beginning of this current Jewish year (September and October 2015) have definitely marked this Jubilee year as a time to be watchful and alert.

However, we have 7 scripture fulfillments in the 7th month of 2012, framing the Jewish Holy month exactly, so that is confirmation that at least the 2012 calendar is correct. We also know we are near the 6000th year, at midnight, when the elohim said they would return.

Is The Jewish Calendar Wrong !? - Feast of Trumpets after Fall Equinox - "The Hidden Day"
We ALL assumed that the fall feasts were accurately calculated. When we did NOT sight the New Moon for the beginning of the month, we waited and the new moon was sighted two days later.
We continued through the Feasts focused on the Day of Atonement never questioning whether we were a MONTH EARLY based on the biblical method of determining the beginning of the New Year.
This presentation is by William Allen.
The modern Jewish calendar may be wrong. This video by Bobby Regan shows how the old testament Jews observed the Feast of the Lord by using the vernal & autumnal equinoxes as guides to know when a given feast should begin. Speculation is made based on this theory that the fall feast of the Lord were observed a full month too early for 2015 and this would also include this years Shemitah Day stock market crash as noted below:

COULD GOD BE MORE ABOUT MATHEMATICAL SYMMETRY than He is about dates on the modern (pre-calculated) Jewish calendar?
Consider the following:
Shemitah collapse #1: September 17, 2001 (Elul 29).
Shemitah collapse #2: September 29, 2008 (Elul 29).
Note: there are exactly 2,570 days separating these two collapses.
What happens if we add 2,570 days to the most recent, 2008, collapse?
We arrive at October 13th, 2015.
What is the significance of October 13th, 2015?
Author of Ancient Messianic Festivals, Ken Johnson, writes:
“The easiest way to verify when the REAL festivals and future prophecies will occur is to memorize the dates of the spring and fall equinoxes…. The first new moon following the fall equinox will be… [the Feast of Trumpets].” (p. 12)
The first new moon following the fall equinox in 2015 is October 13th-14th, the date(s) that, according to Johnson, would represent the “real” Feast of Trumpets.
IT GETS EVEN MORE INTERESTING.
The Book of Daniel states:
“From the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven sevens…” (Daniel 9:25 NASB).
What happens if we subtract Daniel’s “seven sevens” (equivalent to 17,640 days) from the October 13th-14th date?
We arrive at June 27th-28th, 1967, the date the Israeli government issued an official “decree” recognizing Jerusalem as the restored capital of Israel.

d. barley means ripe enough to be broken by hail
e. first sighted moon must after equinox
f. sighted moon can come before equinox as long as full moon comes after equinox
g. predetermined jewish calendar
Conjunction moon starts month

a. enoch calendar starts on 4th day of the week

Most believers today who observe the annual Biblical Holy Days sincerely believe that the modern Orthodox Jewish Calendar is exactly the same as in the days of Moses/Moshe, ancient Israel, and also during the First Century AD/CE. However, from the 4th Century to the 10-12th Century the rabbinical Jewish calendar went through some considerable changes to become exactly as it is today. Many sincere believers know this, but claim that the Jewish rabbis and Sages have been given the authority by G-d over His calendar to make such changes. In a continuing series of a Prophecy Watch Study, Pastor Abent reviews, the Battle of Gog and Magog and Its relationship to the opening of the sixth seal of Revelation 6. Then builds a scenario which "plugs in" the 3.5 year ministry of the two witness, and explains the 1290 and 1335 days of Daniel 12:10-12 as well. The key to understanding the seven year Tribulation is that God is focused on the redemption of Israel. So key events in Revelation which take place on key Jewish feast is VERY SIGNIFICANT.
