Cambridge (/ˈkeɪmbrɪdʒ/KAYM-brij) is a university city and the county town of Cambridgeshire, England, on the River Cam about 50 miles (80 km) north of London. At the United Kingdom Census 2011, its population was 123,867, including 24,488 students.
There is archaeological evidence of settlement in the area in the Bronze Age and in Roman Britain; under Viking rule, Cambridge became an important trading centre. The first town charters were granted in the 12th century, although city status was not conferred until 1951.
Cambridge is the home of the University of Cambridge, founded in 1209 and one of the top five universities in the world. The university includes the Cavendish Laboratory, King's College Chapel, and the Cambridge University Library. The Cambridge skyline is dominated by the last two buildings, along with the spire of the Our Lady and the English Martyrs Church, the chimney of Addenbrooke's Hospital and St John's College Chapel tower.
Cambridge is at the heart of the high-technology Silicon Fen with industries such as software and bioscience and many start-up companies spun out of the university. Over 40% of the workforce have a higher education qualification, more than twice the national average. Cambridge is also home to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, one of the largest biomedical research clusters in the world, soon to be home to AstraZeneca, a hotel and relocated Papworth Hospital.
The ZX Spectrum (UK /zɛd ɛks ˈspɛktrəm/) is an 8-bit personal home computer released in the United Kingdom in 1982 by Sinclair Research Ltd.
Referred to during development as the ZX81 Colour and ZX82, the machine was launched as the ZX Spectrum by Sinclair to highlight the machine's colour display, compared with the black and white of its predecessor, the ZX81. The Spectrum was ultimately released as eight different models, ranging from the entry level model with 16 KB RAM released in 1982 to the ZX Spectrum +3 with 128 KB RAM and built in floppy disk drive in 1987; together they sold in excess of 5 million units worldwide (not counting numerous clones).
The Spectrum was among the first mainstream-audience home computers in the UK, similar in significance to the Commodore 64 in the USA. The introduction of the ZX Spectrum led to a boom in companies producing software and hardware for the machine, the effects of which are still seen; some credit it as the machine which launched the UK IT industry. Licensing deals and clones followed, and earned Clive Sinclair a knighthood for "services to British industry".

Sit still and hold on tight as we go for a ride around Cambridge. The veiw, noise, comotion and shaking is all because two grown men are sat inside a Lambretta Lambro. A Lambro is the original little truck, most will probably recognise it as a Tuk Tuk, Lambretta produced many years ago. We set out on our journey from Cambridge City Football club, turn left onto Milton Road, Right onto Maids Causeway, up over Elizabeth way, turning right onto Newmarket Road. This video ends with us going around the back of Marshalls Airport. Watch video two for more thrills, spills and noise!

The ZX Spectrum is 35 years old on 23rd April 2017, and it also holds a very special place in my heart, so it's time to wish it a happy birthday... It's the machine I grew up with and which led me to creating this very channel. I've covered the Sinclair ZX Spectrum in the past, but frankly I didn't do it justice, so we're revisiting Sir Clive's iconic 8 bit home micro in detail, starting with The Sinclair Years in this two part documentary. This first part explores Clive Sinclair's early years, from his childhood to the formation of Sinclair Radionics in 1961, through the mini amplifier period, pocket calculator, black watch and finally his range of computers, starting with the MK14 and culminating in the ZX Spectrum 128k. We'll look at the people involved behind the Spectrum such as Jim...

Cambridge Travel Video - Few cities can take the breath away quite like Cambridge. It's not just its tightly packed core of exquisite architecture, or even the mind-boggling mass of brain power that has passed through its world-famous university, but also it's the sensation of drowning in history, tradition and quirky ritual that only seems to deepen the more you discover. But so too there is plentiful opportunity to come up for air, relaxing in the manicured college gardens, punting along the beautiful river 'backs' and roaming the lush water meadows that run out of the city. And of course Cambridge is no mere repository of history and charm, it is very much a living city; its narrow streets are alive with the click and whirr of cyclists. The river is clogged with red-faced rowers, drift...

http://worldlifilm.com | I visited Cambridge, England on a gig shooting at a conference for George Soros' Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET). It was a dream job, as I got paid to shoot a high-level conference in the VJ-style I specialize in. I also got to travel around England and shoot some travel videos! This is the first travel film I have ever shot completely on a Flip Mino HD. I love it because it is very easy to shoot with, and I can carry it anywhere without having to bring a backpack or worry about my big camera. However, the audio sucks and the images leave a little to be desired. But then again, I shot this video in the first hour I was there - I most likely wouldn't have shot anything if I had to bring out the big camera. So it's a tradeoff. Let me know what...
Jurassic Coast goes Digital From time travelling digital ghosts, steam-punked submarines, CGI animated fossils and weather balloons projecting the earth’s climate change, the Seaton Jurassic centre is no ordinary visitor attraction. Working with Devon Wildlife Trust, Cambridge Filmworks (who have previously worked on visitor attractions around the world including the Cutty Sark and Luxor Museum in Egypt) have gone back 250 million years in time to bring to life the story of Britain’s World Heritage coast. But this isn’t any ordinary journey – the story is told through a plethora of interactive displays and dramatic multimedia installations. There are drawers and books to open, buttons to press, knobs to twiddle and an array of immersive digital experiences to be had with a surprise arou...
