The Enigmatic Ancient Site of Tiahuanaco + Pumapunku | Ancient Architects
I have mentioned Tiahuanaco and Puma Punku is a number of videos over the years but I’ve never taken a deep dive into this historic settlement on the banks of Lake Titicaca.
As many of you may know, Tiahuanaco is a Pre-Columbian site in western Bolivia, one of the largest archaeological sites in South America. In my recent series of videos I’ve talked about a megalithic culture, a people who moved across the world through time, building magnificent megalithic and monolithic structures. It seems that the final leg of their journey took them from Cusco in Peru to the Polynesian islands, including Easter Island, but as far as New Zealand.
But before building at Cusco, it is believed that this megalithic culture were the ones who built Tiwanaku and that this is the ancestral home of Peruvian...

Tiwanaku: The South American Stonehenge
There is no shortage of theories exploring how these monoliths were constructed- from the Creator-god to aliens and giants. This programme chronicles University of Pennsylvania researcher Alexei Vranich's expedition to prove his theory of how the American Stonehenge was created: that the stones were transported across Lake Titicaca on gigantic totora reed boats and then laboriously dragged another 10 kilometers to the city.
To pull off this feat, Alexei enlists the help of Paul Harmon, a world-class sailor and adventurer. Follow their perilous mission from beginning to end – from the initial enthusiasm to the roadblocks thrown in their path, from the joy of their immersion deep into Bolivian culture to the challenging road to their ultimate success.

The Mysteries of Tiwanaku and Puma Punku (Documentary)
A few years ago, my friend Ethan and I took a backpacking trip through the Andean highlands of South America. During our trip, we spoke to locals about their ancient myths and legends. In this documentary, we attempt to juxtapose these myths with archeological and anthropological fact. We are not experts, so we encourage viewers to keep an open mind and do their own digging on the subject.

12,000-Year-Old Stalactites in the Ruins of Tiwanaku, Bolivia?? | Ancient Architects Investigates
Many of you interested in historic architecture of the world will have heard of the Pre-Colombian archaeological site of Tiwanaku in western Bolivia. The whole site covers around four square kilometres and consists of a number of famous structures, including Pumapunku, the Kalasasaya, the Kantatallita Temple and the terraced platform mound, or pyramid known as Akapana.
It is an extremely important site in the history of South America due to the seemingly advanced pre-Columbian civilisation that occupied this region, some 4,000 metres above sea level in the centre of the Andean Plateau.
Some say the Tiwanaku Culture began around 1,600 BC, some say later, at 200 to 300 BC but Arthur Posnansky, who lived between 1873 and 1946 argued that Tiwanaku was constructed much earlier, around 15,000 ...

The Faces of Tiwanaku
The Faces of Tiwanaku pose a mystery in a chapter of history on this planet. Who were these faces, and who originally created them? From modern-day research and accounts from Spanish Conquistadors over five hundred years ago, we can only speculate who was adorned ancient being named Viracocha along with the ancient travelers.
Who do you think these faces depicted?
The blocks for the subterranean pit were put together for tourism due to it being in complete ruins. Although during antiquity, there was a lower area or square area that housed some sort of building structure that had these carved faces on display. The statue in the center and faces were all excavated from this small area.

But before building at Cusco, it is believed that this megalithic culture were the ones who built Tiwanaku and that this is the ancestral home of Peruvian megalithic builders. So in this video, I am going to introduce this incredible megalithic site and take a look at the earliest written account by Spanish Chronicler, Pedro Cieza de Leon.
Chuck on CF-Apps7865 presented the words of Cieza de Leon back in 2020 and you can watch his fantastic video at https://youtu.be/UftoRAbv7JY
You can read the words of Pedro Cieza de Leon at https://www.gutenberg.org/files/48770/48770-h/48770-h.htm#CHAPTER_CIV

Some say the Tiwanaku Culture began around 1,600 BC, some say later, at 200 to 300 BC but Arthur Posnansky, who lived between 1873 and 1946 argued that Tiwanaku was constructed much earlier, around 15,000 BC, and was the origin point for many civilisations of the Americas, including the Inca and Maya and so on.
Archaeological research since Posnansky has provided no credible evidence for such an ancient date and since the publication of this final and most important book on the subject, Tihuanacu: The Cradle of American Man, his extravagant dating ideas are no longer accepted by the archaeological or scientific community.
But what I focus on in this video, is a claim made by dozens of people online, in my emails, comments and messages, that 12,000 years old stalactites have been found inside masonry tunnels beneath structures at Tiwanaku.
If this is correct, well, this would be the hard, dateable, physical evidence required, to prove that Arthur Posnansky was right after all. Are there really 12,000-year-old stalactites at Tiwanaku? Watch this video as I investigate!
