The Polish Hussars (Polish: Husaria) were the main type of cavalry of Polish Army (and later,the Polish-Lithuanian Army) between the 16th and 18th centuries. When this cavalry type was first introduced by the Serbian mercenary horsemen, they were serving as light cavalry banners (1500), and by the second half of the 16th century hussars had been transformed into heavy cavalry. Until the reforms of 1770s the husaria banners were considered the elite type of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth cavalry.
Husaria półciężka, znana z wielu zwycięstw formacja kawaleryjska Rzeczypospolitej, obecna na polach bitew od XVI, do początku XVIII wieku. Husaria była wykorzystywana do przełamywania sił nieprzyjaciela poprzez zadawanie rozstrzygających uderzeń w postaci szarż które, w okresie jej istnienia kończyły się zazwyczaj zwycięstwami. Ze względu na nietypowe uzbrojenie i taktykę husaria jest zaliczana do najskuteczniejszych formacji wojskowych w dziejach kawalerii.

Michael Hussar is an American painter from Southern California born in1964 Born in Long Beach, CA . He was trained at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.Michael Hussar creates original oil paintings. Trained by painters Richard Bunkall, Dwight Harmon, and Judy Crook; and draftsmen Harry Carmeanand Burne Hogarth. Taught Portraiture-Head Painting for almost 10 years at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA and continues to teach portrait painting workshops in the United States and Europe. In 2008 Hussar's painting, Hans Memling was featured in the group show In the Land of Retinal Delights: The Juxtapoz Factor that took place at the Laguna Art Museum from June 22 - October 5, 2008. Hussar's oil paintings and drawings are very provocative and often somewhat objectionable because they are intensely realistic. Hussar paints in the old-master style. His clients include Kat Von D and Madonna.

This 2 v 2 on the flats will demonstrate some of the nuances of the early period battle. I don't really like early period battles, but I wanted to show Poland and Winged Hussars will OWN any cav in early period hands down.
I could tell when my hosting opponents said the rules were "no rules" that they would be bring crap-tons of artillery. So I planned my army to be built around a heavy striking contingent of 4 winged hussars. The results were bloody and entertaining. Hope you enjoy!

Hussar (
/həˈzɑr/ hə-ZAR, /hʊˈzɑr/, or spelling pronunciation /həˈsɑr/ hə-SAR) refers to a number of types of light cavalry which originated in Hungary in the 14th century.
The first written mention of the word "huszár" has been found in documents dating from 1432 in Southern Hungary. (at the time the Ottoman military frontiers of the Hungarian Kingdom) A type of irregular light horsemen was already well established by the 15th century in medieval Hungary. Etymologists are divided over the derivation of the word 'hussar'.
According to Webster's the word hussar stems from the Hungarian huszár, which in turn originates from the Serbian хусар (Husar, or гусар, Gusar) meaning pirate, from the Medieval Latin cursarius (cf. the English word corsair). A variant of this theory is offered by Byzantinist scholars, who argue the term originated in Roman military practice, and the cursarii (singular cursarius). Origin of the word is also attributed to old Italian.
Through Byzantine Army operations in the Balkans in the 10th and 11th centuries when Chosarioi/Chonsarioi were recruited with especially Serbs, the word was subsequently reintroduced to Western European military practice after its original usage had been lost with the collapse of Rome in the west. According to another theory, the word is derived from the Hungarian word húsz "twenty", suggesting that hussar regiments were originally composed of twenty men. Or the term huszár probably signified 'one in twenty' as selected for service by ballot.

Adam Ant (born Stuart Leslie Goddard, 3 November 1954, Marylebone, London) is an English musician who gained popularity as the lead singer of New Wave/post-punk group Adam and the Ants and later as a solo artist, scoring ten UK top ten hits between 1980 and 1983, including three No.1s. Ant was also a star in America where he not only scored a string of hit singles and albums, but was once voted sexiest man in America by the viewers of MTV. He is also an actor, having appeared in over two dozen films or television episodes between 1985 and 2003.
Since 2010, Ant has undertaken a major reactivation of his musical career, performing live regularly in his hometown London and beyond, recording a new album and with two full-length UK national tours now completed and a US national tour now scheduled. His present comeback continues and thrives despite concerns about such activities being merely another symptom of the mental health issues which were in considerable part responsible for his lengthy spell of near-inactivity spanning the late 1990s and 2000s.

Louis Armstrong (August 4, 1901 – July 6, 1971), nicknamed Satchmo or Pops, was an American jazz trumpeter and singer from New Orleans, Louisiana.
Coming to prominence in the 1920s as an "inventive" cornet and trumpet player, Armstrong was a foundational influence in jazz, shifting the music's focus from collective improvisation to solo performance. With his instantly recognizable deep and distinctive gravelly voice, Armstrong was also an influential singer, demonstrating great dexterity as an improviser, bending the lyrics and melody of a song for expressive purposes. He was also greatly skilled at scat singing (vocalizing using sounds and syllables instead of actual lyrics).
Renowned for his charismatic stage presence and voice almost as much as for his trumpet-playing, Armstrong's influence extends well beyond jazz music, and by the end of his career in the 1960s, he was widely regarded as a profound influence on popular music in general. Armstrong was one of the first truly popular African-American entertainers to "cross over," whose skin-color was secondary to his music in an America that was severely racially divided. It allowed him socially acceptable access to the upper echelons of American society that were highly restricted for a black man. While he rarely publicly politicized his race, often to the dismay of fellow African-Americans, he was privately a strong supporter of the Civil Rights movement in America.[citation needed]

This 2 v 2 on the flats will demonstrate some of the nuances of the early period battle. I don't really like early period battles, but I wanted to show Poland and Winged Hussars will OWN any cav in early period hands down. I could tell when my hosting opponents said the rules were "no rules" that they would be bring crap-tons of artillery. Michael Hussar is an American painter from Southern California born in1964 Born in Long Beach, CA . He was trained at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.Michael Hussar creates original oil paintings. Trained by painters Richard Bunkall, Dwight Harmon, and Judy Crook; and draftsmen Harry Carmeanand Burne Hogarth. Taught Portraiture-Head Painting for almost 10 years at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA and continues to teach portrait painting workshops in the United States and Europe. In 2008 Hussar's painting, Hans Memling was featured in the group show In the Land of Retinal Delights: The Juxtapoz Factor that took place at the Laguna Art Museum from June 22 - October 5, 2008. Hussar's oil paintings and drawings are very provocative and often somewhat objectionable because they are intensely realistic. Hussar paints in the old-master style. His clients include Kat Von D and Madonna.

This 2 v 2 on the flats will demonstrate some of the nuances of the early period battle. I don't really like early period battles, but I wanted to show Poland and Winged Hussars will OWN any cav in early period hands down.
I could tell when my hosting opponents said the rules were "no rules" that they would be bring crap-tons of artillery. So I planned my army to be built around a heavy striking contingent of 4 winged hussars. The results were bloody and entertaining. Hope you enjoy!

You will find that Hussars originated in Hungary, and spread to Poland , and then on to most of Europe, including Britain. Don't comment, just search and read, then shut the hell up.

The Governor of Hungary, John Hunyadi, created mounted units inspired by his enemy the Ottoman Turks. For the uninformed who comment that Hussars are only from Poland and other such outlandish gibberish, do some research. You will find that Hussars originated in Hungary, and spread to Poland , and then on to most of Europe, including Britain. Don't comment, just search and read, then shut the hell up.
'The hussars originated in bands of mostly Serbian warriors crossing into southern Hungary after the Turkish invasion of Serbia at the end of the 14th century. The Governor of Hungary, John Hunyadi, created mounted units inspired by his enemy the Ottoman Turks. His son, Matthias Corvinus, later king of Hungary, is unanimously accepted as the creator of these troops.'
