What if we could solve
global problems
while opening up access to
education worldwide
From climate change and disease epidemics to cybercrime and terrorism, finding the solutions to many of today’s global challenges are beyond any one institution’s capacity.
The PLuS (Phoenix London Sydney) Alliance combines the strengths of three leading research universities on three continents to develop innovative solutions to these challenges in global health, social justice and sustainability while progressing the responsible innovation of advanced technologies.
Central to addressing this challenge is a global workforce that can collaborate across cultures. As well as undertaking cutting edge research, the Alliance will increase access to world-class higher education through innovative digital technologies.
PLuS Model
The Alliance will establish research collaborations across the universities and cross-institutional programmes for students around the globe on our campuses and online.

Our Global Reach
United States
ASU has been named the most innovative university in the U.S., thanks in part to its focus on use-inspired research in sustainability, defence, emergency management and science and technology. ASU has an impressive track record in delivering digital immersion education programmes; it boasts more than 90 academic programmes entirely online.
ASU is a comprehensive public research university, measured not by whom we exclude, but rather by whom we include and how they succeed; advancing research and discovery of public value; and assuming fundamental responsibility for the economic, social, cultural and overall health of the communities it serves.
United Kingdom
King’s College London is one of the top 20 universities in the world (2015/15 QS World University Rankings) and among the oldest in England.
King’s has a particularly distinguished reputation in humanities, health and medicine, law, sciences and social science, including international affairs. Its research has helped shaped modern life from the discovery of DNA structure to development of radio, television, mobile phones and radar technology.
Australia
UNSW Australia is a recognised leader in innovation, focusing on areas critical to the future from climate change, renewable technologies and sustainable cities to business, public health and human rights. Its solar cell engineers hold world records for converting sunlight into electricity, and its quantum physicists are leading the race to build the world’s first quantum computer in silicon. UNSW has unparalleled industry links, and produces more technology entrepreneurs and top CEOs than any other Australian university.
